Super dark black/brown with a cocoa colored head. Sweet smelling chocolate and charr on nose. Nice dark chocolate/charr taste. Slight bitter bite on back.

Very hot and boozy, with some bourbon sting to it on the palate. From the description and rating, I was expecting something very different; personally, I like a lot of bourbon character, but I thought it would be better integrated into the flavor profile. It's so prominent to be overpowering the other additions to the base beer.

Look - So thick and black with a really nice rimming
Smell - Oh much so much vanilla smells
Taste - Wow, lots of vanilla and barrel with a slight roasy chocolate
Feel - Really thick and slight syrupy

Had on tap. Fudgy waves of chocolate are the base of this beer, melding wonderfully with the pure and wonderful bourbon, slight wood and big vanilla finish the sip. Not the most complex, but the purity and rich depth of flavor is fantastic. Thick and chewy with refined smooth viscosity.
