look: 3.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.75
by bark from Sweden
The colour is warm black (100 EBC); the two finger head is beige-brown, it sinks slowly leaves some lacing on the glass.
The smell is smooth with sweet chocolate, roasted malts and hints of bitter hops and lactose.
The taste is roasted and semi-sweet with clean bitter notes. Dark chocolate/cocoa and a touch of charcoal. Medium body. The aftertaste is smooth with more of the same flavours. The finish is dry and malty.
The carbonation is medium to strong, the many bubbles small and long-lasting. The liquid is smooth.
A very elegant porter. Not very complex, but all flavours are balanced and smooth. Pairs very well with an shot of espresso.
