After a downright terrible bottle of beer I was contacted by the brewer and informed there were some bad bottles out ther that were definately infected. He offered to send me and did, a new bottle of this beer. The original bottle was like a homebrew gone wrong. Just throwing the info out there in the event someone comes up with a bottle of the same infected brew.
Pretty standard chestnut brown color. Small foamy head. Some decent lacing going down the sides of the glass. Nutty and caramel like aroma. Definate malty scent. Solid malt flavor with a definate spiciness to it. Mild cocoa notes. Lingering hop bite and bitterness to it. Nice solid mouthfeel to it. Overall a decent US brown-amped up a bit with the higher abv. Glad I got a chance to retry this and props to the brewer for reaching out to me.
