Warp refers to the threads that run north-south in fabric, while Weft refers to the threads that run east-west. They are woven together to create cloth, something altogether greater than the sum of its parts.
Last year's version was a berliner weisse aged for 3 months in tequila barrels. This year's version is a mixed fermentation that utilized lactic acid bacteria and sacchromyces, in addition to several strains of brettanomyces, and was then aged for 12 months in tequila barrels.

On-tap at Bellwoods. Served in a long-stemmed tulip.
A - Finger of white foam settles to pretty much nothing. Murky peach juice body.
S - Lots of oak and tequila present; smokey spirit character dominates, with light notes of tart lemon and a touch of sulfur and funky brett.
T - Taste has more of the base Berliner character present, with tart lemon, lactic acidity, wheat, and oak in the finish. As the beer warms up smokey tequila grows in potency, but the beer never seems overly boozy. Was kind of surprised by the listed ABV of 6%.
M - The feel is really odd. The carbonation is prickly but low at the same time? Light, watery body, with a dry oak texture but lingering sticky finish. Again, no spirit warmth.
D - Really odd beer. The concept is sound but it doesn't totally work. I think the batch I tried at Volo was beer; perhaps more time for the lactobacillus to do it's thing is needed. Still, with all my criticism I had no problem drinking the entire glass.

Poured a clear light gold with no head to be seen anywhere. Nose is tart and sour, I pick up a touch of the wine barrel, but just barely. The taste is quite nice with a sweet and tart character. The white wine barrels do influence the flavor, bringing a sweet crisp grape to the party. The brett is not overpowering, but it works well with the barrel aspects and the final result is a very enjoyable beer. The feel is light with a below average carbonation.
Quite nice, glad to have had this, and I would recommend it happily to others.

500ml bottle from brewery.
Slightly orange gold with next to no head. Sweet white wine on the nose. Similar taste with some Brett character. Mildly tart. Effervescent. Another good one from Bellwoods.

2017 Chardonnay/Brett version:
Looks more like a saison. Straw. Hazed. Carb trails. Smells funk and winey and tart- a slight hop smell and hint of citrus. Nose will salivate the glands. Tastes great- carries the nose but tartness speaks more than straight sour. Very wine like flavors. Grapes and some wood. Feels fuller than 5.5 with perfect carbonation. Bery pleased. Some to go as well please.

One of my top beers of a recent trip to Toronto May 2015. Think we might have got the last or at least one of the last bottles at the tap room as they had to look 3 times for it. So happy they did!
The tequilla to me was very subtle but matched very well with the oakyness.
Brett for me was making a very nice appearance, so anyone who tried back a few months make sure you give this one another chance, if you ever have the chance ;)

I can honestly say that I've never had anything like this before. The mix of wheat, malt and tequila makes for an extremely interesting experience. I would be interested to see how this ages, but I generally lack the patience for such things. I think I'll just chalk this one up as an "experience".

Pours straw-gold with two fingers of frothy white head. Lime and musty sweet grains on the nose. Taste is similar, a bit sour, lightly sweet.
Diggin' tequila barrels, interesting stuff. Would like to try this again down the road to see if the brett makes more of an appearance and how that would go.
