500 mL Bottle. ABV 5.6%.
Appearance: Magenta, Over one finger of bright off white frothy and creamy head, Very good retention, Creamy cap remains, Slight lacing.
Aroma: Pink grapefruit, Slight strawberry, Slight pale stone fruit, Slight funk, Slight sweat.

Quick: Pours a hazy gold light purple in color which almost looks like the flesh of a plum. Decent head and some lacing. Smell is plum up front and then tart with a touch of hops on the end. The flavor is a lovely tart plum with a nice amount of mild hops too. Tart works nicely for the feel too. Slightly prickly carbonation and a lovely dry finish.

This is a damn nice beer. I could drink it all summer long and even beyond.

Interesting purplish pink colour, moderate head no lace. Looks a bit like some manner of party cocktail. Fruity, sour nose. Interesting mouth feel. Sour and fruit and pleasant funk. Slightly tart to start, some drying, fruitiness. Subtle, but interesting. Nicely done.

500ml bottle from the brewery. The plums really add the little something that's missing to the base Jelly King. The purplish hue makes it a joy to watch as you pour. Has the same great drinkability and mouthfeel as the original, with the well-balanced funk of an excellent wild ale. The plum flavour is subtle and compliments the style very well, giving the beer extra tartness and a little sweetness. Great beer.

Really hazy, murky pink grapefruit color with off-white head. Aroma is really intense with lots of overripe grapefruit but also some tart fruits like unripe strawberries, light fermentation notes as well. Taste starts with a light to medium fruit tartness, some bitter pink grapefruit, fruity hops in the background. Medium body, really smooth mouthfeel. Really well balanced between sweet and tart fruits and a slight hop bitterness.

The plum is a nice addition to a very good beer. The bright, juicy fruits of Jelky King are still there, but tempered a bit by the plum. The plum is not as strong as I expected- present but not particularly dominant. Tart as usual. While a nice variation, I prefer the regular one, with the undiluted hit of the dry-hopping (though the Brett variation is my favourite of all).

A- cloudy, guava pinkish when held up to light, medium head that doesn’t stay very long, slight lacing that disappears

S/T- Tart, Sour,Definitely taste the plum, fruity smell slightly reminiscent of Grapefruit, juicy, slight sweetness towards the end with a very faint bitterness on the finish that doesn’t linger

F- Medium/light carbonation, light mouthfeel, very drinkable.

O- A very drinkable sour and a good variant on the already tasty Jelly King, a little more sweet with a more pronounced fruit character and certainly a prettier appearance. Overall a solid 8/10

Purple haze? Pours a nice head, good retention, awesome lace.

Aroma is subtle and a bit muddled. Sourdough bread and a mix of stone fruit.

Good tartness, like under-type plums and nectarines, a bit of tangerine. Good, but I liked the straight up jelly King more.

Moderate body has a tart acidity and a crisp finish.

Pours a turbid pinkish colour, one finger of white head and some lace. Smell is full of fruit, lots of juicy plum and nectarine and peach flesh, a bit of lemon underscores an acidity as well, tropical and citrusy notes as well. Taste starts out quite tart, plum and fruity flavours, more of the peach and nectarine from the nose, a bit puckering into the finish, tropical fruit throughout, clean fruity finish. Medium-light carbonation, medium bodied. Solid stuff a very nice variant on an already enjoyable beer.

500ml bottle.

Murky blood orange with large bubbly head. Plum aromas. Muted plum on the tongue. Pleasant tartness. Thick body. Enjoyable version of Jelly King but the plum isn't as prominent as I would like.

Poured a really interesting murky purple/orange colour with a thin layer of white head.

The palate is sour with some fruiy hop components and a big sweetness from the plum (compared to the regular version). The plum also comes through slightly flavour-wise. good balance.

Mouth feel is medium with light carbonation. Dry.

Lots of frothy head and lacing after it dies down, with a nice plum coloured tincture to the base beer . Fruit burst of plum wafting out of the glass, mouth puckering tartness and nice stone fruit sweetness to the beer, with a great mouthfeel. Even if the beer is perhaps almost verging on too tart and taking over the plum, they did make sure there was enough to still stand out. didn't get to try to apricot, but this is probably one of their best straight up in your face fruit sours to date..... (and it went down very quick in this high 30's weather!)
