Our single hop series has been a delicious and interesting experiment into the diverse world of hops. Following an identical recipe but only changing one variable each time (the hop) we've been able to study the exact aromatics and flavours imparted by specific and single hops. This particular version showcases the American hop Azacca.

On tap at Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto, ON.
This one pours a lightly hazy yellow, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
Ths one smells like dry grapefruit rind, with orange, tangerine, and grassy hops.
Like most Bellwoods hoppy beers, this is super dry and crisp, with orange peel, bitter grassy hops, grapefruit rind, and mango juice. It's a pleasure to drink.
This has a pretty light body, it feels effervescent, with a dry bitter finish. It's very drinkable and crisp.
This series has always impressed me- it's a really good way to learn about the finer points of different hops.

Pale hazy soft lemony yellow. Moderate head to a film, occasional lace. Gentle nose, pithy citrus, not overly pronounced. Soft, almost creamy mouth feel which strikes me as unusual for the style. Pithy, slightly bitter, not aggressive and balanced off by malt. Pleasantly drinkable, well made, but ultimately?y probably only memorable for folks playing the hop ID game.

cleanly executed smooth hoppy pale. Fresh Bottle from Haffis. Good drinkability. Lasting head.Nicely done as series evolves, though retains Lemony quality.

500 ml bottle from brewery.
Cloudy copper with moderate head. Dissipates quickly. No lacing. Honeydew melon and herbal notes on the nose. Slight funk with melon and I distinct herbal notes on the tongue. Dry. Nice.

Quite a fruit-filled aroma: melon, pineapple. Also a slight herbal scent. Similar flavours; melon, orange, basil. Malt body is pretty restrained. Moderate bitterness.
