Poured from 12oz can into a tulip.

Appearance: light golden hue with a dash of haze and a minimal effervescence. Head is a thin finger of frothy ivory foam; not too bad but not a lot going on.

Smell: a nice raspberry aroma atop a simple wheat-malt base. The aroma does seem a little artificial, but it is still nice.

Taste: a good fruit character with a moderate and appropriate level of sweetness; there's a wheatiness appropriate to the base as well. It's not earth-shattering but it's a perfectly acceptable fruit wheat beer.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a moderate carbonation and OK creaminess.

Overall: not a bad wheat beer; I could see quaffing plenty of this under the right circumstances. It's certainly a highly drinkable strength as well.

Raspberry Wheat pours a golden color with no head. Big hit of raspberry. Taste is very mellow raspberry flavors, nothing else and not sweet. A bit fizzy and weak. Overall mellow and drinkable.

Semi-clear, bright golden amber with fizzy, dissipating, filmy, uniform off-white head. Strong fresh raspberry aroma right as top is popped, but quickly fades. Still there in glass, but becomes an almost green bean odor, thankfully masked by berry sweetness and bready wheat character. Surprisingly it is almost identical on the palate. Not enough distinct raspberry, though certainly not none. Vegetal but in no way dank or brothy. In some ways, this still finds a way to be cloying, despite not being as sweet or tart as you would want a raspberry flavored beer to be. It's drinkable, but I'd argue it is too well-balanced. On the raspberry side I'd prefer as Raspberry infused Cider or a Framboise Lambic. On the wheat side, I'd prefer most Pale Wheat Ales, Witbiers, and Hefeweizens. It has a lot more in common with (though better than) Shock Top's Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat, minus the overt woodiness, than it does with Shock Top's own take on the Raspberry Wheat. It is thin and watery, with fine, medium carbonation made up of both prickles and suds, and feels in no way harsh, but is still not as smooth as a wheat beer should be.

Poured from bottle. Poor head and what there was had blink of the eye retention. Colour a bit more pale than id expect. Definitely smells of raspberry and candy, may be too much raspberry as I can't get much more. As advertised a wheat raspberry taste which are balanced well, a bit too light overall maybe. Small astringent moment at the end which goes quickly. Clean feel and smooth, just enough carb. Pretty much lives up to its label but could be a bit stronger and wheaty. I'm not a big fan of making beer taste like fruit but this was light an enjoyable. They got a good balance and paired well with pasta.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong raspberry, pale malt, hint of hop, and slight wheat, and a hint of sweet malt. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of raspberries (not quite fresh though), hint of hop, slight wheat, and a hint of pale malt. Overall, aroma and body dominated by raspberry, but sadly not quite fresh or actual raspberry, but more of a concentrate.

Not allot to say, this is pretty straight forward a wheat base with raspberry flavoring Not much to look at smell or taste. The raspberry is about all that saves this beer from completely falling off a cliff.

Wasatch Raspberry Wheat has an initially thick, off-white head, and a clear, straw appearance, with clinging and ascending bubbles. Lacing is minimal. The aroma is of subtle raspberry and bread. Taste is of the same, with some background acidity and sugar. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Wasatch Raspberry Wheat finishes crisp and refreshing.

Another treasure from the local singles cooler! For a raspberry beer, let's see how this one stacks up.

Appearance (4) : Dense, foamy, tightly knit head that shows no signs of going anywhere fast. The body is golden yellow with about 20% opacity. Slight shadowing of my fingers on the other side but mostly transparent.

Aroma (3.75) : Sour raspberry with seeds, some sour malt, milled wheat, and there's actually some nose-able hops! Hops give off a faint grapefruit aroma. Their presence is about even with the raspberry and malt smells. Overall a balanced aroma with a medium-strength bouquet.

Taste (3.25) : Some malty wheat with a faint sugary raspberry cereal (Trix?) flavor. The raspberry is definitely artificial and candy or Saturday morning cereal-like. It gets lost in the middle of the wash of the beer. Some muted hops finish off the drink in the form of faint lemon and dissolve in a watery finish. Interesting? Perhaps. Not necessarily great, though.

Mouthfeel (3.25) : Carbonated, crisp, refreshing, watery. Clean. Light bodied. Ends with nothing pretty much with water washing it down.

Overall (3.36) : If I had bought a six pack of this I would have been truly sorry. It's a poor beer all around, but it's an easy drinker. Better than Shock Top's offering, but that's not saying much. I've yet to find a decent raspberry beer. :-(

Clear gold colored beer with a momentary medium size white head.

Smells of raspberries. Smells slightly sour. Bread dough malt scent. Not particularly aromatic.

Starts out sweet with a hard water flavor. Raspberry flavor and a tart element to it. There is something about this that makes my tongue say "Cake Batter."

Mouthfeel is light.

Overall this is an OK food washer downer but it isn't that memorable.

Golden amber in the big chalice. A nice foam to start with that melts down to some lacing, but a robust tangy carbonation on the tongue. Light in weight
but the mouthfeel is a little more substantial with the tart fruit and an oily sensation. A little fruit in the aroma, but it's distinctly berry.

The fruity flavor is smooth and long lasting in the nose. A nice balance of malt and tartness, since there is not much in the way of hops. Just a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Really not a bad fruit beer and makes for a good low-alcohol style.

From the 12 oz bottle bought at Emigration Market in Salt Lake.

APPEARANCE: This beer, poured from a tap] into a pint glass, produced an white fizzy 1/2" head that dissipated quickly leaving thin head lacing. Carbonation was soft in a clear straw colored body.

AROMA: Heavy raspberry aroma together with light toasted wheat and very light spices. You can really smell the raspberry.

TASTE: A more moderate taste to the raspberry -- a little lighter than I expected based on the aroma -- with light toasted wheat, very light spices and a very light hops note at the end.

MOUTHFEEL: This beer has a medium body with a smooth texture, soft carbonation and thin body lacing that dissipates quickly. The initial flavor is a light sweetly acidic tang with a lightly dry finish that lasted for a moderate length of time.

DRINKABILITY: This is a good summer session beer, repeatable all afternoon. The immediate hit of raspberry, followed by the dry wheat backup gives it a nice flavor punch. It would be great for a hot day. It has good value and is easy to drink. I'd buy it again and serve it to friends in the right circumstances.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass

A: Golden yellow with little character. No head and spotty lace.

S: Raspberry, wheat (I know it is isn the name of the beer, but you can really smell it). Also, a little apple cider, corn, and light brown sugar.

T: The raspberry flavor is actually really great. I don't usually like fruit beers but this is pleasant. The wheat is great...nice and grainy. No additional spice, malt or hop but altogether good.

M: Watery but with a good alcohol vapor.

D: Really enjoyable. For a fruit beer it actually comes across like a beer with a great fruit flavor.

I got this one in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks yet again, John!

It pours from 12oz bottle a clear yellow-gold with a very small head of foam that faded before I finished typing these words and it has almost no lacing.

The smell is delicate but I do get some raspberry goodness along with some sweet malt.

The taste has a light flavour of fresh raspberries followed by some sweet malt then a bit of hop bitterness that cuts the malt's sweetness almost immediately. Further sips in and the raspberry character, though still not as strong as I'd like it, turns towards the semi sou side and has a presence in the finish though that ends up mostly crisp and clean. I like it. Like I said, I was hoping for more of a raspberry kick but what's there is done nicely. I'd drink this one again, no problem.

12oz. bottle thanks to BigJTrucker

Pours a clear straw color with a small white head that vanishes. Mild lacing on the glass.

Aroma has a slight wheat beer base but is largely raspberry, and fairly artificial at that.

A hint of wheat beer taste immediately upfront that gets taken over by a raspberry flavor. It's not unpleasant, but not quite a natural tasting raspberry flavor.

Light body, low carbonation.

Not a bad beer, but certainly nothing to seek out. No struggle to finish the glass, but certainly have no desire for another one.

Acquired via trade from Wasatch, so a big “Thank you” goes out to him. Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of strong and tart raspberries with a background of wheat, hops and light malts.

T: The taste is nicely balanced as the raspberry flavor is no where near as strong as it is in the smell and doesn’t overpower you like it can in other beers that use it. It’s accompanied by flavors of wheat, cream and a little spice. The malt character is thin and the hops presence is mild. The after-taste is slightly sweet and a little bready.

M: Smooth and crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, clean and dry finish.

D: Tasty, goes down very easily, not very filling, I usually don’t like the raspberry flavor in beers, but this one makes good use of it. This is a nice easy-going beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for a fruit-flavored beer.

This brew is back. BrewMaster Seasonal

Pours a nice clean/clear golden color, nice carbonation, nice little white head, not much sticky lacing afterwards. The nose is malty, slight spice scent, a little touch of raspberry, and some caramel. The taste is malty, with a nice touch of raspberry, and caramel. Medium body, nice carbonated feel on the tongue. Drinkable, this is a nice brew for a hot day, a thirst quencher, a tasty brew, recommended.

Appearance - amber in color

Smell - little hops and lots of fruity flavoring - rasberry

Taste / Drinkabilty - again, you can taste a small trace of the hops with a little flavoring of rasberries. I am not a fan of fruity beers, but if I would have a choice to drink it again, I would.

Mouthfeel - very delicious
