Outstanding beer, loads of flavor and sufficient level of hops.

This has always been one of my top beers living in salt lake city. It's brewed by a local brewery that had been around for a very long time. I've always compared this with Cutthroat by Uintah, until a couple nights ago when I had a Stein at X-Wives place on 900e. Sure, is a dive bar, but something about the pour made it the most delicious beer I've ever had. Pretty dark for a pale ale. It has all the flavor and backing of an IPA but without too much hoppiness interfering with the flavor. This is my perfect beer and what I compare all others with. I highly suggest making sure you have a Full Suspension if you are in Salt Lake, and if you already live here then I'm sure it's one of your classics as well!

Good glowing copper and orange color here, darker than expected for a lighter abv beer. Really substantial 1"+ head on it, lasts and lasts. Lacking hop aroma.

Taste, plenty of caramel, some mild bitterness, what the hell, I thought this was a pale ale? What the dillio? Malt is toasty, and it all seems to stick to your teeth.

I don't get who drinks pale ales like these.

Enjoy by 10/24/15. Still prefer the less ambiguous bottled on date

Poured from the 12 oz. bottle into a stemmed tulip.

a: translucent orange with an inch thick white head which receded to a thick ring of foam and patchy lacing.

s: none

t: Slightly orange flavor over a medium biscuit malt base followed by a significant hop bite which does not linger long.

m: medium with good body and carbonation tingle

o: Another refreshing offering from Squatters, more substance than the golden but equally nice as a warm weather brew.

Golden pour from 12oz can into SAPP; thick, loose white foam; good carbonation and lots of lace.

Citrus/lemony nose; fresh baked bread.

Lite cracker with just a hint of lemongrass flavors.

Lite mouthfeel; a little hop stickiness for the tongue coating.

Overall, lite crispness with some grassy hop finish.

On tap at the River Room. Poured out with a thick head, needed a spoon to clear enough off to finish the pour. Hops aren't as apparent in the nose as in the taste. Fairly bitter for an APA, crisp, clean. Body is on the lighter side.
