Pours a nice clean/clear reddish color, nice carbonation, nice one-finger plus off-white creamy head, nice sticky lacing afterwards. The nose is sweet/tangy malts, and some caramel. The taste is sweet/tangy and malty. Light body. Very drinkable, please do not compare this to a Verhagne brew or a Rodenbach brew, not as much alcohol or tartness, but it is tasty.

Sampled from a snifter at the downtown SLC Squatter's location.

Poured a deep dark red amber with a light head that left nice lacing.

Light aroma of sour cherries and yeast.
Taste was much better than I expected, after having a few of their other brews. There was an initial rush of sweet and sour cherries up front, but, unlike their other brews, it was backed up by some nice malts and spices.

Depending on the temperature, there were finishes of bitter, sour, and sweetness. A little thinner than what would be considered perfect, this was enjoyable and drinkable.

The friendly Squatters bartender served this in a nice, over-sized snifter. Dark, but clear and sparkly, ruby red, with a small, rose-tinted white head. Served too cold, so I let it warm a little. Nose is light sour cherries, with some yeasty wheat malt and a touch of sweetness. Taste was similar. Sweet and sour cherries up front, with a light bodied malty backbone. Lightly bitter and a touch sour in the finish. Mouthfeel was a little thin, but otherwise a decent beer. Reminded me of a scaled-down NG Belgian Red. Could use a bit more cherry and carbonation. Still, hats off to Squatters for trying a Lambic-inspired brew.
