Pours a clear dark brown color, nice carbonation, huge creamy tan head, tons of lacing throughout the drink. The nose is sweet malty, slightly nutty roasted, and caramel. The taste is malty, with a nice undertone of roasted nuts, nice dry caramel finish. Light-Medium body. Drinkable, a nice brown ale.

Appearance - Part of a multi-beer sampler at the Salt Lake City International Airport Squatters Pub Brewery location. Brown in color. Huge creamy nitro beer head. Good head retention.

Smell - The beer has a faint roasted smell, which is appealing. There is not much else.

Taste - Bready and biscuity. The beer is dry, but is accented with just a touch of malty sweetness. It is also crisp - it reminds me of Bass Ale and the hard water flavor that it has. The taste is just a little unpleasant. Not bad enough to pass on the beer, but noticeable enough to make you wonder what is going on with the beer.

Mouthfeel - The body is light and crisp. This really is pretty mild.

Drinkability - This is a fairly easy drinker. It would be good as a change of pace from a bitter or strongly flavored beer.

Comments - This would make a good session beer. I am not crazy about it (mostly because I do not care for the style), but it is worth a try.

Typical thick and well retained nitro head. Clear dark ruby hue. VERY light malt aroma of roasted barley w/ diacetyl coming out as the beer warms. Bland in flavor. There are barely perceptible dark malt flavors, virtually no caramel malt sweetness and insignificant hop bitterness. If there was any character, the nitro killed it. Of course the nitro did help the mouthfeel. A weak brew. This looks at tastes like a draft Guinness watered down about a third. Hmm.. Michelob dark nitro? This is about the closest thing (minus the corn)
