Notes: If you're going to sin, sin big. With 8% alc/vol and a creamy richness, this brew has developed a serious cult following. Imagine that - a cult following in Utah?!

A - Pours a rich mahogany with a quickly dissipating head, minimal whispy lacing.
S - Has a stouts sweetness in aroma, very warm with some underlying maple notes, no alcohol presence.
T - Very light hop profile, slightly chocolate, lots of sweetness here, very mild bitterness. Medium body, decent mouthfeel, easy drinking.
O - A nice step up from Shiner Bock as far as depth of flavor and complexity is concerned. A great transitional beer for those wanting to get into craft beer.
V - Bought single, not sure of 6 pack pricing.

Dark amber body; dense, creamy head. Malty, sweet aroma; warm caramel. Much like the smell, malty with a caramel presence; balanced blending of malt sweetness and hop bitterness. Heavy body; rich and warm.

A decent doppelbock yet without any distinctive qualities.

Appearance: It has a nice deep brown color to it with some amber hues. It has a nice off-white head that dies down somewhat fast and leaves next to no lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of caramel, butterscotch, some nuttiness, toasty malts and sweet dark fruit in the back.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a loads of sweet caramel, nuttiness, toasty/buiscuity malts and sweet dark fruit (mainly raisins and plums).

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavors and aromas. Enjoyable Doppelbock.

Was not a fan. First the smell reminded me of the smell of throwup at a college party. And the taste got worse with each sip

12 oz bottle into a pint glass

A: Clear auburn-brown. Rich head, decent lace.

S: Sweet and malty.

T: Deep caramel and dark malts. Alcohol flavor a factor. Tight bitter on the finish with an aspirin-like astringency. This weird aftertaste is one of the things I notice to be pretty consistent in Wasatch brews.

M: Rich. Dry finish. Medicinal.

D: Good with the exception of that weird aftertaste. Some room for improvement here.
