Can looks cool and says clearly 4.8% ALC. BY VOL. not the 4% listed in the beer description here. Light haze to a golden colored beer. Thick spongy two and a half finger of head white in color. Beer is really pretty clear for an unfiltered beer. Swish and pour of the last bits in the can really hazed things up!

Smell is refreshing like walking through an orchard or a barn filled with apricots and peaches. A hint of tart sugar comes out. A bit of biscuit like malts, maybe Hawaiian bread biscuits.

Taste is a bit like flat apricot flavor with some peach sneaking in. Very white bread like presence fills the mouth. Taste is on the sweet side.

Mouth feel is light medium. Seems to fill the palate mid mouth. As it drops off the finish comes out smooth. The beer does seem to have a flat characteristic to it.

Overall this is a good beer. The appearance and smell were very pleasant. The taste is nice while a bit sweet and flat like it has no liveliness. The mouth feel is a bit thick and with that flatness a bit off putting. And also have to mention the sweetness because it is there and a bit strong on the sugar cube scale. Yet for that it is a good beer for the style and may be the one for you. So try it if it sounds O.K. to you.

This was actually a beer that my wife ordered when we went out to dinner in St. George, UT following the Ironman 70.3 in that same city. This is typically not my choice style but I figured I would give it a shot. Why not?

This beer pours a cloudy/heavy haze golden hue that has a thin white head which has minimal retention and low carbonation visible. 3.5/5 The aroma is definitely fruity, as it should be per the name, but the added fruit really overpowers the normal hefeweizen aromas of banana and clove. Apricot may be the name, but my wife and I got way more peach than apricot. It is not a bad aroma, it's just not what either of us expected. 3.5/5 The flavor profile is just like the aroma, more apricot and peach than normal Hef flavors. There is a definite wheat flavor that comes through plus a very light bitterness from grassy and herbal hops. It is almost like drinking a slightly hopped version of a sparkling peach juice. 3.5/5 This is a medium bodied beer that has faint carbonation and is slightly viscous and mouthcoating, along with a bit of creaminess that works its way through. There is no drying and very low carbonation. 4/5 This is an interesting beer that, as I said before, really doesn't have the traditional Hef flavors. It's basically an American peach/apricot wheat beer (i.e. Shock Top) that they decided to name a Hefeweizen. Hefs are one of my go to beers, this particular Hef is not. 3.5/5

Excellent beer for any summer occasion. A bit like a shandy. A good example of an apricot fruit beer...sweet and crisp with a distinct apricot flavor.

Quite good. Rivals the apricot brew from Pyramid.

A. Easy poor very little head that dissipated before I could put the bottle down. Very good carbonation. Color is yellow with a haze.
S. Apricot, banana, alcohol, urine.
T. Taste like club soda with apricot syrup.
M. Carbonated water.
O. This taste more like a fizzy navel wine cooler than anything else. Did not taste any hint of it being a hefeweizen beer. What’s funny about this beer is the back of the label, it has food pairings reconditions and one of them says “ice cubes” WTF.?

From a single into a Tallgrass tulip

A: pale white gold, 2 finger head that subsides in a minute and leaves no lacing
S: tart apricot (but might be artificial), some faint sour-like wheat,
T: a little non-descript wetness on the front, then some yeasty spritz, the apricot that is in the nose dominates the middle, and some flat wheat notes come out on the finish that lingers and isn't too pleasant
M: wet, thin and light, medium carbonation, moderately crisp.

Overall: if not for the finish, this would be good (though far from great) as a summer refreshment...there are macros though that would be as good or better.

Average beer. What else can I say? Not really a great apricot or hefe beer.
