Tim Finnegan’s Irish Restaurant & Pub is a hidden gem in the Metrocenter area. The strip mall exterior hides a brilliantly decorated and truly authentic Irish establishment. Its a real pub experience with all the benefits of a well stocked beer bar that will please any patron. But the surprises don’t stop there. Tim Finnegan’s offers a delicious menu that makes it a perfect destination for lunch or dinner. They have plenty of great specials and a happy hour that are nice values. Seven days a week happy hour from 4 – 7 and low-priced lunch specials from 11 – 4. On friday they have all you can eat Fish & Chips for $14 and these are the ultimate Fish & Chips ever. The food is really exceptional, better than anything in the area. Perfect appetizers like Cod Sliders, Curry Chips and Lamb Skewers. Real Burgers, nothing from a box in the freezer. Scrumptious entrees fill the menu, along with the staple fare like Shepard’s Pie for $14 or the authentic All-Day Irish Breakfast. I suggest you try the Pan Seared Cod and the most amazing dessert you will ever eat, the Baileys Bread & Butter Pudding. And now for those drinks. Tim Finnegan’s offers over twenty different bottles of Scotch Whiskey, over twenty different bottles of Irish Whiskey and enough Bourbon to keep you happy too. There are eight draft handles at Tim Finnegan’s dedicated just to craft beers, like Dogfish 60 Min, Four Peaks Kilt Lifter, Odell 90 Shilling Ale and a rotating craft of the month. There are plenty of beers one would expect on draft in an authentic Irish pub such as Carlsberg, Smithwick’s, Hoegaarden and two Irish stouts. A really superb draft selection for beer drinkers but there are lots of bottles to choose from too. Beers like Mission Brewery Dark Seas and Shipwrecked, Racer 5, Anchor Steam, Maui Coconut Porter, Red Stripe, a few ciders and some Belgian bottles. This pub has great food and really good beer to go with it. And to top it all off, Tim Finnegan’s has live music, like local punk favorite Jason DeVore and an open mike night. There are two trivia nights, loads of big televisions, and they are Phoenix’s local Jets bar, as well as being the Official U.S. Soccer Bar in town. Enjoy some good times in Tim Finnegan’s Irish Restaurant & Pub with their fun staff and great food the next time you are driving along Interstate 17 in Phoenix. I highly recommend it for everyone.
