Pours pale golden in color with a good white head that retains nicely.

Smell is very fruity. Aromas of orange and lemon zest tropical fruit nectarine and a piney hop resin all blend in the nose at once. Some bready doughy malt aromas follow.

Taste follows the nose with citrus hops first to hit the tounge with more flavors of orange zest, crisp lemon and a piney oily hops. Mid section is moderately sweet and compliments the crisp citrus flavors nicely.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a sticky sweet presence, lots of hop oils and resin and a slightly dry crisp finish.

Draft tulip at Endgrain. Thanks to Thomas for sharing this one!
Described by the brewers as an imperial Belgian IPA.

Dark saturated golden orange. Thin cap of foam, drippy arcs of lace around the glass.

Aroma was citrusy, more prevalent hop character, mild clove and minor Belgian IPA spice.

Creamy feel with a big citrusy taste, light spiciness and bitterness that lingered into the dry aftertaste. Juicy citrus and earthy hop character dominated. Will have to give it a second try in the near future.

Pours a dark yellow, almost orange (think hangover piss, but in a good way) with a skinny head that quickly turns to a slick coating of light foam. Initial hit of citrus, hops, malt, tropical fruit and finishes dry and hoppy. Quite refreshing after a long day. Awesome effort by Solemn Oath.

Picked up a bomber of this when I went on a mini vacation last weekend with my wife and her family in Chicago. Poured into one of my tulip glasses, this beer pours a somewhat hazy/cloudy, medium golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles fairly rapidly and continuously rising to the beer's surface. Has a fluffy looking white head that's only about 1/3 to 1/4 of an inch thick when poured that eventually settles to a fairly thick surface coating along with a fairly thick ring lining the inside of the glass and good lacing. Has a lightly toasted, bready malt aroma that gives way to citrus and nectarine fruitiness followed by hints of clove and slight barnyard yeasty funk that's rounded out with an earthy, floral hop presence. Tastewise it is pretty much the same, with slightly toasted and somewhat sweet caramel malt notes that gives way to citrus and nectarine flavors that are proceeded by a nice hint of clove and even a bit of banana followed by a slightly yeasty and slightly tart barnyard funk. All of this is rounded out with an earthy, floral hop bitterness to round it all out. A very unique blends of these different flavors here indeed! Not quite like any other beer I've ever had before. All the flavors are very well balanced here and compliment each other excellently. Has a crisp, yet also somewhat smooth, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a dry aftertaste. A very good beer here all around!
