A: Pours a nice foggy brown with a khaki head, nice lacing.
S: Dark fruit, plum, figs and raisin.
T: Fruity, a bit sweet with a nice malt backbone.
F: Nice creamy texture, quite smooth.
O: A very nice Scotch Ale. Definitely look for it again. As a side note, this had been in the crawl space for at least a year and it held up quite well.

22 ounce bottle into a tulip glass.
Pours a somewhat hazy, deep brown, with ruby highlights in the light. Small head, some loose lacing. Smell is malt, caramel, figs, dates, plums, some yeast. Great aroma. The taste is more malt- forward, then caramel, dates, raisins, plums. Smooth, solid body, appropriate level of carbonation.
Found it to be a pretty classic and straightforward example of the style. Very good flavor and balance. Well worth a purchase.
