Served in a tumbler at Firkin.

Solidarity is keeping it real with some tastiness from the 'Thrill down south. This stuff pours a lightly hazy sunset amber topped by a finger of cream foam. The nose comprises grapefruit peel, light leek, grass, and some light toffee in the background. The taste brings in more of the same, with the grapefruit peel coming in as more of a zest, the leek is lighter, and some lemon rind, light banana, and light black pepper come through as well. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a nice little DIPA, one that doesn't overdo the hops and maintains a healthy balance. Good times.

Many thanks to Justin for the chance to taste this tasty beer.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle, this pours a copper amber color with pretty good head retention and lacing. On the nose, this is pretty nice. I get dry citrus, along with some underlying celery root, graham cracker and light white pepper. The flavor profile replicates the nose in this nicely balanced beer, with the initial graham cracker, light citrus and light vanilla nicely balancec by the hoppy bitterness in the fairly dry finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied at most, with a clean, fairly crisp, dry and lightly bitter finish. This beer is very drinkable and easy to appreciate.

Sure, there are plenty of better ipa's and dipa's on the national market, but this is a very easy to appreciate and enjoy dipa from this new to me brewery. If this was my local brewery, I would happily stop by for a glass of this enjoyable beer all the time. This is very, very easy to appreciate and enjoy.
