Honey colored pour, clear as a bell, very little noticeable carbonation, 1/2 inch of white head evaporated quickly , plenty o' lacing in the Fiddlehead tulip.
Light tropical blast consisting of pineapple and naval orange, juicy grapefruit, slight pine character, malt barely noticeable. Improves as it warms.
Flavors are nicely balanced : a tasty tropical wave with some notes of pine and herbs. Fresh and clean tasting, this is a fine example of the use of Chinook hop without going overboard on the bitterness factor. Alcohol undetectable, and again, improves upon some warming.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium and somewhat spritzy despite the lack of visible carbonation. I felt it to be just a tad thin as it washes over the palate. High level of drinkability, but a little more body would be welcome.
This is my third foray into the Societe lineup, and they continue to impress me with their focus on hop forward offerings. Highly recommended and a pleasure to consume.
