Not what I was expecting. First sip, I about spit out. This beer suffers from seriously deceptive labeling. The front of the can states simply “Blonde Ale”
Not until you read the back do you realize it’s a Belgian.

Can from lupulo Santa Cruz.
Look: clear bronze, fluffy head that dissipates fairly quickly.
Smell: Banana, clove, barnyard.
Taste: yeasty malty, resinous mix. Can’t say if I like it. Definitely Belgian influences. Citrus. Some peppery spice.
Mouthfeel: Slick.
Overall: unsure. It’s ok.

A very sudsy brew. I feel I’m drinking soap! I can’t understand calling this a harlot when it tastes like a large tub of bath water. I think there would be more grain.

On tap into a tulip glass. Crystal clear golden color. Delicate white head that very slowly settled, leaving tracks on the glass. Fruity on the nose: tangerines, and berries along with faint peppery and grainy notes. The taste followed closely. The tangerine stood out but played well with spicy phenolics and a subdued bready presence. Moderately bitter and dry on the finish. Clean and refreshing.
