No bitterness, smooth, slightly creamy, dry with lingering chocolate.

Initial taste is very chocolatey and coffee forward. The bitterness and alcoholic taste is pretty pleasant. Not too boozy though which is good.

Damned pretty beer, deep black, over an inch of head that isn't going anywhere. Lots of roasted, charred malt in the aroma, wasn't hot, was straightforward.

Taste, chewy, big malt structure, hiding the alcohol. We're getting close to 100ibu in the bitterness, but it melds well. Not sweet at all despite a sturdy chocolate malt presence. Top tier RIS stuff right here. Got the chewiness of a double American imperial stout, but stays away from the dark pruny stuff in a lot of RIS.
