On tap for The Bruery Sucreversary held at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spice, and Belgian yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, spice, and Belgian yeast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of yeast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Pours light golden orange with a slightly foamy white head. The lacing is very visible as you go through this beer. The aroma is of candied Belgian yeast, cloves, banana, other fruits, and a slight alcohol scent. Candied belgian yeast is very forward on the taste with apples, bananas, cloves, and a slight peppery note. This beer has a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a tart, spicy, dry finish. Overall, a fantastic belgian style beer and easily my favorite of Societe's belgian efforts.

Pours a slightly cloudy, pale golden yellow color with bright straw colored edges and a two finger frothy white head that very slowly settles into a lasting ring. Excellent retention with streaks of soapy lacing coating the glass on the way down.

The aroma of this beer is very odd. I'm picking up a strange mustard like character along with odd metallic astringency and peppery spice. Some coriander an white pepper along with sunflower seed and subtle floral hops. Bready yeast and light fruit esters with biscuit, bread apple and pear. Slightly off-putting but the oddness of the aroma has me intrigued.

On the lighter end of medium body with delicate grassy hops and peppery spice countered by bread/yeast, biscuity malt and light fruit flavors. Grassy with some dank pine character followed by faint citrus, zesty white pepper and coriander. Slight buttery flavor with strong pear/cider-like flavors. Some vinous light grape as well along with biscuit malts and banana. Really weird but somehow still appealing.
