Mang-O-Rita has lots of fizzy bubbles and no foam nor lacing. The appearance is opaque orange. The aroma is of mangoes and pale malt, and the flavor is the same, with a Splenda brand sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Mang-O-Rita finishes (high-fructose corn syrup) drying. It's top-notch, for what it is, but I just don't like what it is.

(25 oz can, code 19173; purchased cold... poured into a 28 oz mug)

L: as is typical with this line (shaking my head, being too familiar with it, but only review-cently), hazy liquid with a fizzy, fleeting foam... liquid color is almost on par with Irn Bru or an Igloo cooler

S: mango Jolly Rancher - nothing more to add

T: 'mango' soda syrup?; bit of spectrum swipe of medicinal, phenolic, saccharine flavors in the finish... intensely (sugary) flavorful, but only 10% malt liquor-ish, if that...

F: slight fuzzy fizz on contact; vaguely drawn-out/slick... like a flat soda halfway through... extra 1/4 pt for the ethanol being super smooth

O: another gap-filling review... flavor-assaulting, soft-drinky, fizzy liquid boozy candy... like a fizzy Boones Farm thang... at this age, I rarely try to get drunk, but I'd hate to be reduced to relying on this to take me away; blech!... (1529)

Whoo boy, this one is something. In my earlier drinking days I'd go grab one of these and down it while I watched my friend Kelly stream games. It was an abhorrent experience for the most part, every swig made my face contort and exhale like a noob drinker.

Overwhelming fruity smell. The overall taste is artificial mango, cheap margarita mix like what they put in the dollaritas at Applebee's, and beer water. Syrupy as it gets. I only punished myself with this a few times and apparently the other flavors are worse, so I guess I should be thankful. Not sure why I ever had one more than once.

Is it ok to essentially start a review with "well this is the least shitty variation" of this beer? I think its a good summary of the review. Anyways, pours as usual looking nothing like beer, looks more like some tonic water with nothing but alka seltzer and some coloring added. What a weird fizzy creation. Aroma was slightly mango-esque, so it didn't miss the mark by much there.

Taste, the mango character is also there in the taste. But its all downhill after hitting that extract. Still super fizzy. Lacks a malt, yeast or hop aspect of the beer, but hey, this hits that adjunct spot with some sugar added in to cover up the alcohol. Its nowhere near as offputting as the lime one is.

Bought a 25oz can $2.69 Marukai
Strong smell of mangoes
Bright orange color
Light carbonation
Heavy mouthfeel
Very sweet mango taste, alcohol aftertaste
Overall not good as is. It does deliver a mango taste so my ratings reflect that. If you blend it with ice then it become a decent blended drink as the melted ice helps to reduce the sweetness. As is it is more like a juice concentrate. Blend it with ice as I think is intended then you can up the score to a 3.0 as a margarita mix. I definitely would not categorize as beer.

Poured into a tall, cold glass filled with ice. Looks appealing, like mango punch. Tastes like a strong cheapo wine cooler. Reminds me of Cisco, although it's been a long time since I've had one. I'm not a big fan of mango, so I might enjoy the other flavors more.

I'm not giving this a full on review, it's a simple kind of mixed drink that tastes a good deal like Mango with a mild bitter kick to it, it's enjoyable and 8 oz is all you need.

I have long loved this site and joined just to review this amazing concoction and try and salvage it from being the hated red-headed stepchild of the beer world. I base my ratings and review on this being a malt beverage, not comparing it to beer standards, because it's not beer (of course, neither is Bud Light, but I digress, another review, another time).

For what this is supposed to be and compared, say, to FourLoko Mango, Mike's Hard Mango, and some brand I can't remember but had jalapeno in it too (also available in a tall, cheap, 25oz can that screams, "Choose me to make bad decisions!"), I think it's hands-down, THE BEST. I LOVE the mango-y-ness of it, I love the smell, I love the biting carbonation. What I don't like is it's a little too sickly, syrupy sweet and it packs a massive BAM in calories, over 200 for an 8oz can!!!! They are addictively drinkable and I find myself sometimes craving them. Of all the Rita's, it's my fav, followed by Cranberry. Mix half Lime/half Mango for a great taste experience. :-)

Served "properly" over ice. This more a mixed drink than a beer in truth.

Clear fizzy orange colored beverage with no lasting head.

Smells of mango, pretty much peaches with some citrus. In truth closer to soda than beer but I do love mangoes.

Starts out sweet and tasting of mango. Mild bitterness but it isn't much. Tastes like a Mango soda.

Mouthfeel is soda.

An OK Mango flavor alcoholic soda pop. It doesn't taste bad but it isn't beer.

You MUST pour this over ice to dilute the sweetness.

Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita brewed by Anheuser-Busch, with an ABV of 8.0% This brew pours out an orange color with a small white head. This brew does not look like your everyday beer. It has the look of orange soda/pop. Not saying that is a bad thing. Now for the smell it is sweet with mango and alcohol. Nothing much to the smell of this brew. You might pick up on a hit of grains in the smell. The taste of Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita is mango. There is a bitter sweet alcohol aftertaste, to this brew. It really is a nice tasting brew, and it is refreshing. I like how this brew is different from most brews on the market today. The mouth feel is sweet and refreshing. Nothing bad about this brew but nothing great. Anheuser-Busch, did a nice job with this one. Overall I'm giving Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita a solid 3 out of 5. I would buy this brew again.

Some would not considered this to be beer, however is a smooth brew to drink

Look - Pours a neon orange with no head with no lacing.

Smell - Artificial mango and that's about the extent of things.

Taste - Artificial mango, and a large hit of cheap malt upon swallow to remind you that you are drinking a malt liquor.

Feel - Medium bodied with fair carbonation.

Overall - Not much to say. Hits its niche.

Tastes more like that pre mixed soda syrup than alcohol. Neon orange with absolutely no head at all. Smell matches the taste. Very syrupy and sticky in the mouth. Will need to brush teeth as soon as you finish to get the feeling out of your mouth.

Poured into cocktail glass.
Appearance: Orange, slightly cloudy. No head.
Smell: Mango and malt.
Taste: Cloyingly sweet with a rancid bad malt liquor backtaste. Extreme carbonation. Barely drinkable.
Overall: Just make your own margaritas.

Another dollar can from the "o-rita" line up...

Appearance (1) : No head, just looks like soda. Cantaloupe orange appearance with a lot of opacity.

Aroma (2) : Smells like those candy peach rings you get in those little 2/$1 bags at hardware stores. A little apricot.

Taste (3) : Hey! Not bad. Heavily carbonated peach and mango flavors tango together with an under bite of alcoholic burn and taste. It's tasty, and it's like a soda, not a beer. But it's tolerable, and that's what counts. No finish except for the burnt alcohol taste.

Mouthfeel (2.25) : Shouldn't even be a category here. Carbonated, a little creamy from the malt. Ends Sprite-y with a dry alcohol rub.

Overall (2.13) : So far only the second worst in the four o'rita's I've tried. The best one is Raspberry, then Strawberry, then Mango, and worst of all is the original Lime. They managed to not screw this one up too bad, and now that I've got a taste of about 2 oz, I will drain the rest. Good for a review, little else.

This beer alone taste like a mango flavored jolly rancher candy...it's too sweet and gives me a headache after just one. However, the alcohol content is at 8%, which is pretty high for a beer. I use this beer to turn dry wines into a sweet bubbly - for this reason alone, I give it a 3.0.

Mang-o-Rita pours an orange color with absolutely no head. There is a crazy sweet aroma, very sugary, some mango juice like flavors. The taste is very fizzy, very very sweet and sugary, some slight artificial flavors. Too fizzy, bad feel. Overall, very sweet, artificial mango flavors, not very good.

Poured from mondo 25oz can into a pint glass. This is the last of the Bud Light Lime 'ritas that I'll be sampling today.

Appearance: yellow-golden hue with a touch of haze and a strong effervescence. Head is nonexistent. However, unlike the other 'ritas, this one actually looks a little bit like beer (due, of course, to the mango's yellow color).

Smell: sweet, candylike mango. Not particularly natural or beer-like, but it's not too disgusting.

Taste: very sweet with a candylike mango flavor over your basic Bud Light. Not terrible; perhaps on par with the Raz-Ber-Rita. Of course, mango is not a classic beer flavor, so.

Mouthfeel: light, fizzyish, uninteresting.

Overall: at first, it might have ranked with the Raz-Ber-Rita. After a few sips, though, its high sweetness and lack of tartness make this thing kind of hard to drink.

Bud Light Lime Mang-o-Rita
25 fl. oz. can, dated "14114 BK51"

Unlike the other Bud Light Lime "Rita" drinks, this one seems a little bit too sweet. It's just too full of mango flavor and sugary sweetness, and without any tartness to balance it. On the label it suggest that you try mixing it with ice, and I'd agree as that might help to water it down a bit. On the other hand, it does taste completely of mango, and if that's what you're looking for this does the trick. I can't recommend it as a beer, nor can I really recommend it as a malternative either, but to everything its own place and season.

I bought a single can of this because individual cans were on sale at the liquor store, and my sister said I should try it.
Drank straight from the can, so it was hard to see the appearance, but it appeared to be a clear orangeish-yellow. No head.
Strong smell of malt and sweet syrup.
The taste was a light malt, with really strong fruity syrup. Tasted more like fake fruit than mango. It was like drinking a cup of honey, way too sweet.
Mouthfeel was thick and syrupy, with medium carbonation.
This was decent. It's not something I'd want to drink every day, or even all that often. I would try it again. Probably wouldn't pay for it, though.
It seemed more like a strong wine cooler than anything.

Served in a tumbler.

My brother wanted some Bud Light from a nearby 7-Eleven, I wanted something, this one was one of the very few new-to-me things, so...yeah. This stuff pours a partly-hazy Ecto Cooler (seriously, throughout my entire childhood, I thought the Cooler was a bright green inside of those cardboard boxes...alas, my wrongness...) topped by a half-finger at best of some incredibly transitory dirty khaki bubble mist. The nose is dominated by sweet mango syrup, though I think I get some lime juice somewhere in there as well (could just be wishful thinking). The taste mostly confirms the mango domination, but now there undoubtedly is a small bite of tart-ish lime in the background. Honestly, this ain't half bad, so long as you like these flavors in a heavily sweet context. The body is a light medium, with a fizzy carbonation and a rather soda-like feel. Overall, not the best beer in the world by far, but something not all that bad for a straight alcohol-delivery service.

Appearance: Hazy golden orange in color, with a small white head, which soon fades away, and moderate, fast-rising carbonation. The lacing is slight.

Aroma: A strong punch of mango greats the senses, seems quite natural, there is also a strong note of alcohol.

Taste: Opens with a strong note of mango flavoring, soon followed by an aggressive alcohol note. The alcohol is not hot or solvent-like, and is more tasted than felt. Later in the taste, the mango seems to intensify. Finishes with a long burst of mango that seems quite natural, and a modest alcohol presence.

Mouth feel: Farly full, with slight carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: Its cheap and drinkable, particularly on a hot summer day (4th of July cookout, anyone?). The character is more of a malternative than a beer.

Presentation: Packaged in an eight ounce aluminum can, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

Sourcing: Purchased at Wal-Mart in Texas in July of 2013 for $1.00 for a single eight-ounce can.
