Smells of raspberry and lemon, tastes on grape juice and alcohol. The artificial sweetner, which I can't stand, is noticeable and just builds and builds. ¡No me gusta!

I can't get over the chemical taste that these things have, my wife digs them and they are good to have around for a party but not much in the way of beer for me. Cheers.

This review will not get me any "Beer Points" but technically this is "Beer"
This beer review is accurate.

#1 thing is this isn't even advertised as "Beer" it is a "Malt Beverage" More or less Alcohol from a Vat that is closer to making Fuel Ethanol than making Craft Beer.

OK so this is just a beverage. Same as a Alcohol Laden Coke. So Be It.

So he we go.

Yep all raspberry.

Poured over ice per the instructions on the can.. It is clear Violet and has a brief pink colored head.

Smell is ... pleasant. Yes it is artificial and Yes it is strong. But... How many people in Southern California have ever smelled an actual raspberry? Damn close to Zero. So as far as Southern California can remember what it is supposed to taste like this is what Raspberry is to SoCal.

Taste is...Sweet and Tart and Raspberry. The taste is good. just don't call it beer. Still, this tastes pretty good.

Mouthfeel is just coke.

Overall, not beer. But as a Beverage, it is tasty.

This one reviewed from notes. Too many off balanced flavors. Raspberry taste is not natural, balance is off and overall, kind of what I expected but had to try

Look - From the can so I don't know.

Smell - Sharp artificial raspberry

Taste - Follows the nose with a large fusel alcohol tinge.

Feel - Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Overall - Better than the other A-Ritas I've had, but that isn't saying much.

8 oz can from the store down the street.
Reddish purple color with a light pink head that dissipates almost instantly. Fake raspberry aroma and flavor with faint salt and sour mix.

Appearance: Dark claret in color, with a moderate pink head, finely-beaded, which soon fades to a scattering of foam on the surface. Thin, fine-beaded lacing coats the glass walls. Small, fine-beaded carbonation drifts lazily to the surface.

Aroma: Strong, very natural raspberry notes dominate the aroma. There seem to be notes of blueberries as well. The alcohol is prominent, though not at all offensive.

Taste: Opens with a powerful surge of raspberry flavor. There seem to be notes of blueberries as well. The flavors, while they do not seem artificial, have a strong fruit punch characteristic, and oddly, a Sangria-like flavor near the finish. No hops are in evidence. The alcohol is omnipresent, but not at all harsh, and offers a decent amount of warmth; well-handled considering the 8% ABV. Finishes with a lingering raspberry punch flavor.

Mouth feel: Smooth, soft, fairly full, with mild carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: While not a craft beer by any definition, Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita isn't bad. Like another well known high-alcohol malt beverage, "it gets the job done". At $2.29 plus tax for a twenty-five ounce can, it seems a bargain, when mediocre craft beer appears in fifteen-dollar bombers.

Presentation: Packaged in a twenty-five once aluminum can, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

236ml can, a single procured at my favourite down-market liquor vendor - thanks, as always. 6% ABV, or so sez the label in front of me.

This beer pours a clear, dark magenta hue, with one skinny finger of fizzy, and little else, pale pink head, which wisps away in no time flat, leaving nothing resembling lace anywhere near the glass.

It smells of edgy, somewhat tangy raspberry juice, and maybe a hint of metallic artificial sweetener. The taste is weirdly grainy, um, malt (more malt candy than brewing malt, though), tart 'n sweet raspberry flavouring (more Jell-O than the real summertime deal), and a soft hint of cold, steely alcohol.

The bubbles are pretty testy at first, but get bored quickly and slink off to wherever they might go, the body an adequate medium weight, as buoyed by adjunct sugars as it is, and so-so smooth, the sassy raspberry essence kind of biting the hand that feeds it. It finishes not as sweet as I was expecting, a diet raspberry soda character still predominating.

I suppose once they lowered the ABV to normal-ish adult beverage levels, the fruity malt liquor associations kind of drop off. Anyways, still not really a beer, the raspberry component completely obliterating any Bud Light [sic] graininess. More evidence that 'Bud Light' is more brand name than actual beer.

Anheuser-Busch "Bud Light Raz-Ber-Rita"
24 oz. can
$2.99 @ Stop N Shop Liquors, Camden, NJ

Not unlike the Bud Light Lime Lime-A-Rita, this is not really a beer, but a malternative version of a margarita cocktail. This version, however, is done with raspberry. It's bright and sweet, and very sweetly raspberry-like in flavor - almost candyish, and too much so. Given the choice I'd stick with the Lime-A-Rita.

I try to rate beers to style. This is really a malt beverage or alcopop not beer as such. It's not bad for what it is and makes a nice change from beer. It pours a purple color with a minimal white head from a ten ounce can. The smell is sweet and has some raspberry notes. The flavor is on the sweet side but definitely tastes like raspberry. It's decent if this is what you are looking for but it doesn't really resemble beer.

Serving style : 8 oz can, poured into 8 oz glass. 8.0% ABV. WHOA!

Appearance (2) : Grape Juice cocktail, opaque, with no head. Like a raspberry grape soda.

Smell (3) : Smells like raspberry soda with a faint pinch of alcohol.

Taste (4) : Pretty good actually. Lots of raspberry flavor. It's nothing like a beer, so if you're expecting beer (or Bud Light), you'll be in for a rude awakening. For a mixed drink in a can it's better than decent. It tastes like a rich, fruity raspberry soda with an alcohol kick. Just a hint - a hint of sour grain muskiness on the backside but not enough to even think about.

Mouthfeel (3) : don't even know if this drink deserves a mouthfeel category. It's carbonated and a little cotton-candy like with a residual syrup on the finish. A little bit of that grain alcohol surfaces as well.

Overall (3.23) : I like this "beer". It's actually a margarita in a can, and I think AB needed to market it under a brand name that would sell, so they slapped "Bud Light" on the can and called it good. It's nothing at all like a Bud Light, and pretty much nothing at all like a beer. For what it is, it tastes great - but if Beer Advocate has these things on here, they might as well start adding Smirnoff and Mike's to the list of reviewed products, as this is NOT a beer. I don't quite know how to rate this. I enjoy it, so I guess I'll rate it how I want.

Poured from 25oz can into a pint glass. I do not know what is wrong with me, giving all the Bud Light Lime 'ritas a try. Uff da.

Appearance: candy purple with a light haze and no head. God save me.

Smell: sweet and fake artificial raspberry. That said -- it's not dramatically worse than a lot of other raspberry beers I've had, if a little more artificial.

Taste: sweet raspberry (too sweet) with perhaps a little beeriness underneath. Not good, but probably the best of the 'ritas I've had so far.

Mouthfeel: light body and lightly carbonated. Nothing here to recommend it, but not completely insipid.

Overall: still an alcopop, not a beer. But drinkable. I have to imagine that I am on a boat or something.

Poured from an 8 oz can, poured into a Pint glass
Aroma- Doesn't smell like beer at all but a Nehi soft drink
Appearance- Looks like a grape soda with no head at all.
Taste- The best of the Bud Light Rita line. Has a real good flavor that isn't to sweet. It doesn't taste like beer so get that out of your head. (LOL)
Palate- This is a soft drink like drink with a bit of a dry finish due to the alcohol content.
Overall- The best of the Rita series, I am not sure that is saying much but this is the one of the series that I wouldn't turn down at a party if someone offered it to me.

Pours a bright red with pink foam. The smell was alcohol and artificial fruit. Very sweet taste with a syrupy mouthfeel which made the aftertaste last way too long.

Served in a tumbler.

That damn mango version a few days ago gave me a taste for the other flavors, so raspberry it is tonight. This stuff pours a clear fuchsia topped by a minor wisp of transitory dirty-tan bubble foam. The nose comprises sweet raspberry syrup undercut by a few twists of lime. The taste brings in more of the same, the lime juice really only adding a bit of tartness to the proceedings. The body is a light medium, with a fizzy carbonation and a soda-like feel. Overall, not much to say here: it's tasty enough to me, as I like the sweeter, soda-like flavors. It's nothing special, nor truly praise-worthy in any way, but it gets the job done in an alcohol-delivery sense.

Raz-Ber-Rita pours a reddish purplish color with no head and lots of bubbles. There is a very sweet smell that smells like a chemical factory. The taste has a very strange fake chemical raspberry flavor, with hints of cheap beer trying to come through. Flat, and while prominent flavors, they are bad. Overall it's chemically and rather fake, avoid.

A: The beer is relatively clear reddish purple in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short pink head that completely faded away very quickly.
S: Light to moderate aromas of mixed berries are present in the nose.
T: Much like the smell, the taste has artificial flavors of mixed berries—blackberries and blueberries seem to stand out in particular. No alcohol is perceptible.
M: It feels light-bodied (but not watery) on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The berry flavors completely obscure the taste of the underlying beer, but when you consider that this is Bud Light, this might not necessarily be considered a bad thing. It starts to become a little cloying as the beer warms up so this beer is something that is best drank cold or chilled with ice.

I have held this gem in abeyance with its brethren, awaiting pic approval. The stars have aligned and I am determined to rid my reefer of big azz CANs taking up precious space.

From the CAN: "Margarita with a Twist"; "Try It Over Ice!"; "Enjoy Responsibly Please Recycle".

Once more, I got a loud Crack!, but given that there was going to be 25 (!) fl. oz. of it, the Glug would not be inverted. This must be a joke, right? If CrAN was magenta, then this was definitely raspberry. It fizzed in the glass like soda pop, making a fizzy two-fingered head of deep purple before taking a bow and fading into obscurity. I was left with a glass filled with fizzing, popping liquid, defying me to CANtinue. Nose smelled of artificial raspberry, like kiddie CANdy, which was entirely disappointing. I miss my paternal Grummy and her raspberry bushes, which smelled as fragrant and enticing in the summer as anything that I CAN remember. This smelled like a travesty. Color was a deep purple (SRM = N/A) with NE-quality clarity. Mouthfeel was thin, but fizzy, reinforcing the idea of soda pop. The flavor was that same artificial raspberry taste that I garnered from the nose. Better drinking from the chem lab, I suppose, but I may not have been their target audience. I was not going to stoop to adding ice, as I could not see how that would help, but it needed help and in no small way. Man, this was sickeningly sweet and much too close to soda pop for comfort. Finish was sweet, fruity and just not my bag.

Bud Light Lime Raz-Ber-Rita brewed by Anheuser-Busch.This brew pours out a dark purple color with no head. You smell the raspberry and that is about it. As far as the taste it is raspberry. Not much for a brew but it goes down nice and smooth. This brew is a good for the summer time. Overall I'm giving this brew a 3 out of 5. There is nothing bad about this brew. I will buy this again to switch it up from the mainstream brews out there on the market.

Some would not considered this to be beer, however is a smooth brew to drink

A: Pours a clear but opaque plum purple in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom along the sides of the glass and hints of garnet red highlights. The beer has an eighth of a finger tall fizzy pink head that quickly reduces to absolutely nothing, not even a thin ring along the edges. No lacing is observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of artificial berries (not distinctly raspberry but it could have been any mixed berries) reminding me somewhat of the old blue raspberry Slush Puppy smell but overall it smells sweet. Hints of alcohol and something almost medicinal towards the finish.

T: Upfront there is a very sweet almost Slush Puppy like (if you were like me and put about 10 extra pumps of syrup in it) sweet artificial raspberry, and by sweet I mean really sweet. Hints of alcohol towards the finish. Slight hints of sweet lime juice (like the Rose's Lime syrup) in the aftertaste.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of alcohol warming mid-body.

O: Overall this is a beer for people that do not like the taste or smell of beer, the fact that it is made from Bud Light Lime is almost completely hidden. Too sweet for my taste but it is not offensive.

Ok this one, while still an awful beer, is better comparatively in the series. Still way too acidic and burns a little going down. The raspberry tastes like an ice cream topping and the underlying beer tastes like urine.

Poured from a 25 oz. can. Has a purple color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of raspberry goodness. Taste is raspberries, sweet, just a touch of tartness, alcohol well hidden. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, while I wouldn't want a steady diet of it, this wasn't all that bad.

Nothing can prepare you for the color of Barney the Dinosaur in a glass. Barely noticeable fleeting pink head dwindles quicker than a fart in the wind. Aroma reminds me of the flavor of a Warhead sour candy blue raspberry, with default berry notes and some alcoholic medicinal qualities. Even over ice I don't see how it would help this Raz-ber-Rita...wow. The madness has to stop, but I'm sure somebody out there enjoys this type of abuse, different strokes for different folks. Harsh ass fusel alcohol finish amongst the mild salted berry concentrated sugar notes. Headache inducing almost instantly, puts a smile on my face to know that I will never walk down the path of canned Bud Light Lime concoction's lemmings have gone...which has one ultimate outcome a direct path toward a black out drinking session or worse diabetes induced coma (which also leads to a black out in a roundabout way). Mouthfeel makes your acid reflux come out of hibernation and burn your ears for consuming something this putrid, gag reflex inducing carbonated man made liquids combine to form this shit. Overall, I would never guide anybody toward this path of enlightenment, or eternal black out for that matter.

Sampled tonight on 3/3/14. New for this year and comes in a 8-ounce can. Can chilled down to 36 degrees in my beer cooler and poured into a flute glass.

Pours a red wine in pour with really no head or lacing to speak of. The aroma is of Raspberries of course with some sweeteners. The taste is the same with good raspberry flavor coming through with a hint of ol' 'Bud Lime' at the end. I liked it better than their Cran-Ber-Rita I tried a couple of months ago. Overall, it wasn't bad.
