I remember when this first came out in the 1980's "O yes you can have it all" was the TV commercial jingle. Yes, all but what was then a top-shelf beer with anything like a distinctive flavor. Still, far better than most beers in it's class.

L: 3.5 Golden body with ample carbonation and a sudsy white head
S: 2. Nothing much to speak of. Not pleasant.
T: 3.25 Pretty sweet. Corn syrup. Barley.
F: 3. Medium bodied. Heavy mouthfeel for a light lager.
O: 3. Prefer the Original lager, but if you're looking for something like it with even less alcohol by volume then this is your best bet.

I hope 5 was the highest rating because I love Michelob Light! I’ve been drinking it since I began socially drinking. I hope that it will still be available because I’m not a fan of Michelob Ultra.

Great beer. Drink it as cold as you can get it on a hot 105 degree Georgia day, can't be beat.

12oz bottle coded 21214 poured into a pokal glass at just above fridge temp 4.1% ABV per label. The beer pours brilliantly bright pale straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a pencil thin ring and single layer of tiny bubbles. The aroma is faint with floral hops and sweet grain. The taste is semisweet pale malt with a pretty quick hit of watery diacetyl and some floral and grassy notes. Mild bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with above average carbonation and a not so dry finish. Overall, poor. Movie butter popcorn is the prevailing note here. Soapy and sticky on the tongue. Ice cold or with food, you may have something, but there are way better light beers to enjoy.

So light it's almost clear. So light it smells like a glass of water you dipped an ear of corn into. So light it tastes like a water glass with pennies in the bottom. So light... you get the picture

(12 oz bottle; 19222; purchased cold single... split-poured between shaker and Stella Artois glass)

L: polished-clear, pale yellow-amber liquid; head fizzles away immediately during pour... thin collar keeps, very little lace

S: mild bready pale/pils malt with a vague, subtle lemon note; surprising definition

T: dry malt backbone, with a bit of a muffin-like toasted edge... upon second sip, that curious, delicate lemon note appears in the finish... hint of green grass in the aftertaste as it goes; mild bitterness, lasting malt flavor

F: light-bodied but not thin; quick-finishing, soft sudsy lift, bit of latent gas... kind of on par with a regular adjunct lager

O: all that's missing is a packet of sugar and we might have a lemon muffin lager here... as far as light lagers go, I could do this again - not bad at all, actually relatively flavorful (1558)

Michelob Light is a light beer that tastes more like beer than most light beers. Nicely carbonated, without much of a "burn" on the tastebuds. Just a tiny hint of sweetness to the flavor. If you're an IPA guy (or gal), it'll be far too weak for your preference. But it's not as watery as, say, Busch Light. Goes down smooth after a day of yardwork, and a good beer to enjoy with a burger and fries. Very inoffensive. But at around $12-$13 a twelver, a bit more expensive than some light beers. But, it also tastes just a little more satisfying than most light beers. It's also a little better from a glass bottle than from a can. It's not amazing, but it's definitely not bad.

I like this brew ok, it almost gets to the average of 3. Fuller with more flavor than the other big macro lights. Overall right with BL and CL for me.

Pale yellow gold color. Creamy white head. Fragrant chalky malt aroma. Light grainy malt flavor upfront. Highly carbonated. Slightly sour mid taste. Light hop finish with a brief dry aftertaste.

Tastes a lot like Coors Banquet, which I've heard has the same recipe. Not much better than the best diet beers but at a premium price.
