A- Comes out a crystal yellow with just a film of foam that I wouldn't even consider a head.

S- This beer smells like...well it doesn't really smell at all. The lightest faint of cereal grains.

T- The taste is artifical and somewhat corny. Sweetness and bitterness are balanced, but only because neither is present. If "instant beer powder" existed I would it to taste like this- lame and watery.

M- Carbonation is okay I suppose but overall the beer is watery and so light it feels like air going down the gullet.

D- An easy drinker, almost as easy as water. But no flavor whatsoever.

Playing golf yesterday, a friend of mine bought me a couple of these. Thought the concept of me drinking Michelob was kinda novel seein' as for cheep beer I drink Coors, but what the hell, it's all in the name of karma right?
From what I could tell of the color, it was in a can after all, it was a very pale yellow with quite a bit of carbonation. Produces a lot of foam while cruising around in a golf cart. Smelled about like what I expected, kinda grainy with just a hint of alcohol in the nose. Tasted better than Bud Light I can tell you that, and without the nasty headache. Didn't care much for the flavor overall though. It did surprise me with just a little hoppy bite at the end. Maybe a hint of what it could be were it not produced for the masses. Clean mouthfeel. Just enough carbonation to give it a bite, kinda crisp. I'll take this over Bud, with that being said, I won't drink this often. It is however, a work of art when compared to Michelob Ultra.

A- Watery, clear pale yellow with big foam that takes forever to recede and leaves decent rings of lace.

S- biscuits and corn, no hops can be detected

T- boiled vegetables, corn, biscuits, and cardboard.

M- Very thin and watery with no hop bite, only a carbonation bite.

D- Drinkable like water. Bland and boring.

Served from the 12 oz brown bottle into a pint mug.
Not a very appetizing look to this..very pale golden with large amounts of carbonation visible, small white head..that somehow stays the same the whole glass..weird.
The aroma is mainly syrupy, rainwater..and almost nothing really.
Taste? what taste?..ok theres some syrupy sweetness..that sticks to the back of the tongue..but its all water really.
Not good on the palte, very watery and overcarbonated.
Not a very drinkable beer..Ive had Non-alcoholic beer that taste better.

12 oz., "born on" 5/2/05 - served chilled in a pint glass. Pours a thin, watery yellow that is crystal clear with lots and lots of streams of bubbles rising to the surface and a 1/2 inch white head that doesn't leave much lacing. Smell is of adjuncts and metal, with the same for the flavor but with a trace of hops. Very light with your average macro drinkability.

a beer from anheuser family, the best of all is its Bottle in elegant extruded aluminum; no comments about its drinkability, little aromatic of hops, adjoincts, rice over the flavor off course; good for american and mexican cuisine; snack; monday night; not try with german cuisine; 70% recommended.

This one was also free at our hotel at Disneyland, very pale straw yellow that you could see right through, little white head and no lacing.Wet grass and grains with a good whiff of corn is what comes to the nose, taste is the same with the corn coming thru, very lite body and bubbly like eno in water, went down like water, not much for my liking.

A pale shadow of the full-weight Michelob (which isn't all that great to start with). Starts sweet, but finishes with a grainy, adjunct character. Hops had a synthetic flavor.

Last sample 09/11/2000
The beer upon its exit from the 12-ounce brown bottle sets in the glass a limpid pale gold color with a modest semi-creamy bright white head and after its demise, the lace forms a velum like sheet on the glass. Nose is sweet malt, fresh and crisp, start sweet and light grain profile, top slender in its feel to the palate. Finish is benignly acidic, the hops sparing in their spiciness, quite dry aftertaste.

smell: slight hops to almost zero smell

taste: Little to none, clear

mouthfeel: good carbonation

drinkability: very easy and smooth.

One of the best lights behind sam adams and amstel

Poured 12oz. bottle into a pint glass.

The color is a orange/gold with a slight half finger of foamy white head that leaves rather quickly and leaves no lacing.

The smell is a slight malty aroma but leaves me really straining to get anything out of the nose. Some pilsner flavor is there but washed in a watery muted flavor that kicks down the aroma and leaves me trying to get more.

The taste is mixed with a vague pilsner malt flavor with a slight hop bitterness but that stays off a bit till there a watery crisp flavor that washes off everything else.

The feel of this beer is light and drinkable for even the occasional beer drinker this goes down with little effort.

This beer was from a keg at a family reunion, served in a tall glass that I brought along with me (for my homebrew).

The color is a light gold and it's very clear. It has a decent head, with okay retention as it settles a bit. Any aroma is faint, but it consists primarily of alcohol and mild malt loaded with adjuncts like corn and rice. The flavor is mostly watery with a light malt and hop taste. It's very unoffending, but there's not much here to speak of. The body is light with mild carbonation.

I suppose for mass produced light beer, Michelob Light is not really all that bad when there isn't any choice when being out with friends at a bar, boiling alley or a ballgame. I suppose the host of our family reunion did okay when selecting this, he could have done much worse.

As a lark, split a bottle with a couple of buddies the other night. Figured it would suck and mich lite didn't disappoint.

The beer pours an extremely light yellow color with minimal head retention and lacing. While the appearance does not have quite the swill factor of say a miller chill, needless to say this is not an impressive looking beer. On the nose this beer is just weird. There's a lot of sweet corn aroma, but it's intermixed with almost a glue or paste smell. Can't imagine what adjunct crap AB must have thrown in the hopper to make the beer smell quite this bad. Happily, the beer tastes better then it smells (not exactly a high bar now, is it), tasting pretty much of nothing. Really, it's nothing short of amazing that someone can make a beer like this. I initially got a bit of sweet corn on the palate, but after that the flavors were completely neutral. Nothing bad, nothing good. Nothing. The mouthfeel on this beer actually surprised me. It has a very soft, smooth mouthfeel, and was almost slick on the palate.

While this beer wasn't flat out poisonous, there was nothing enjoyable about drinking it either. It had minimal flavor, and I cannot imagine why I would ever want to drink a glass of this. I'll head for the sink if I need a glass of tap water to slack my thirst, and so have no need for Mich lite.

Another crappy beer from AB. Amazing. Who would have thunk it.

This beer pours pale yellow with a quickly dissipating two finger head. The aroma is of cereal grain and corn. The taste is clean, so clean in fact it's almost nonexistent. The beer is very light bodied crisp and drinkable(but so is water).

Reflection: If you have to drink a light beer try Sam Adams or Amstel but if you had any sense at all you would be drinking Guinness for only a few more calories.

Pours a hazy yellow color, some carbonation, nice little one-finger white head, with some minimal sticky lacing left behind. The nose is kinda malty, with some funkyness. The taste is slightly sweet, malty. Light Body. Not Drinkable, this one is just like the rest of the macros out there, not worth of buying again.

A - Clear, light straw colour. Some head on pouring that falls away the minute it's poured just about.
S - Cereal grainy aroma.
T - Again a grainy smell with that good old cooked corn flavour so common in this style.
M - Thin and watery mouthfeel. Fairly high carbonation.
D - Like most beers in this style they are theoretically fairly drinkable. But I'd rather not drink beer.

What can I really say about this, looks bad, smells like air and tastes like flavored water. At a concert it is all you can get, so its what you are left with. Pale yellow carbonated water that has to be drank freezing or it is completly untolerable, please look somewhere else.

12 0z brown bottle with freshness dating and a new label.

Beer is pale yellow with a strange chemically looking head. Very little lace.

Smell is of faint hops, some vegetable smell and not much else. They have made this one not to smell much at all, I guess they are afraid to let people know what's in there.

Taste is very bland, but slightly better than a bud or miller lite. Hops are barley present and beer is overly carbonated. Not much taste profile at all, just carbonation to take your mind off the lack of taste. With more hops this one could have moved to average.

Mouthfeel is paper thin. Drinkability is good for a light beer. If you have to drink or serve light, go for Sam Adams, Special Export or Leinies Amber.

I don't get the appeal of this at all. By being a macro light it waters up/dumbs down (to be redundant) a crappy beer. There's very little in the smell department to compliment a seethru light golden body. Can't really says there is any taste either w/ the exception of some barley, if that. Goes down smooth, which is to be expected. But, if you want a light beer to cut down the ABV and/or the carbs (like I do sometimes) you can just get the Ultra. The only explanation I have is that there are dudes who probably feel like queers if they're caught with an Ultra (aka: chick beer) in their hand. Funny, those are usually the only type of guys who make the joke to the guy holding the Ultra in the first place, and they can't back it up.
Don't bother with this.

Not as full bodied as the regular, but still respectable for a lite. Not much to the nose more grainy than Michelob. Light yellow pour medium creamy white head. More filling than most commercial counterparts. Flavor has that typical watery weak malt affect.

A - I had this a wedding last weekend. It was poured into a tall pilsner glass. It was a straw yellow and highly carbonated. There was a descent sized head that lasted for quite awhile.

S - There isn't much of a smell, except for that alcohol/beer/skunk that comes from most beers like this.

T - The taste wasn't bad. There was a mix of malt and grains (corn & rice?). No hops but that is expected.

M - It was pretty crisp and light-bodied.

D - I wouldn't regularly pick this up, but when it is free and it is the only beer option it will do the job.

Well this stuff has lots of clarity going for it. Other than that, has the appearance of a cuvee of tap water and AAL beer. I did see some lace even though the head wasn't much beyond 1/6". Aroma was municipal water.

Taste still has the bitter metallic coin money feel to it with alka seltzer.

Maybe as a palate cleanser, but otherwise, kinda useless.

Pale piss-colored lager. Pours a minimal amount of soda-like head and is gone before you can blink. Lots of visible bubbles and no lacing.

Nose cosists of corn and rice adjuncts which are slightly skunked and a hint of hops.

Adjuncts dominate the flavor, lots of corn husk. Mild leaf-like hop. Some skunky flavor and has a tart, off flavor in the end. Pretty much a mess.

Thin, watery consistency. Lots of carbonation. Slick feel and no texture at all.

Every time I review a BMC product I really try to look deep for the good qualities and rate it for what it is. Unfortunately, even for a light beer this stuff is not good. The only good side is that you can drink a lot of these but due to the lack of flavor, would you really want to? Sorry AB, you have failed once again.

12 ounce bottle poured into a pilsener.

Appearance: 1 finger of white, fizzy foam that diminishes to a thin froth. Clear, light yellow with tiny particles suspended in the beer. Some nice bubbles rising up. Slight lacing as the beer is drank.

Smell: Light hops and malt but mostly a yeasty smell.

Taste: There is not a lot of flavor in this beer. Very light grain and that is about it.

Mouth Feel: Light to medium body with a watery feel. Softly carbonated with a semi-dry finish.

Overall: A bit disappointing. Compared to the Michelob Ultra this is a bit weaker. The Ultra had a bit more beer flavor and appearance. This was really low flavor and did not make me want to come back for more.

I just can't stand A-B products. That awful taste is simply present in each and everyone of their beers. This is no different. Despite the standard yellow color and white head that's gone very quickly, there's always that same mouthfeel and bad flavor. This is probably OK if you can stand any of the A-B products. I just can't stomach the flavor. Someday I'll be able to describe because I'll likley keep sampling their stuff 'til I figure it out.
