I don't care what people say. Busch light is the king of light beer. It's light beer. You don't pay a premium for it, so buy the best that is bargain priced. It also happens to have more flavor than its big brother Bud Light. A great beer for watching the game or having some hot dogs in the back yard. A+ for the style.

Busch. I used to despise light beers (but I became a heavy drinker in time). I really love a good beer, but you just can't drink them all day without passing out (which might be a good thing, at home on the couch). I wouldn't normally be attracted to the bottom end of light beers, like Natty and Keystone, but Busch is respectable. I like the mountains on the can. Busch is pretty hard to drink though, it's too thick and you'll gag, so I opted for Busch Light instead of Miller Lite (which has some malt character) and saved some pennies and got more cans (instead of bottles). The new BL is in town, and it's a lot better than the old one. Light body, inoffensive flavor, smells like booze, bubbly, and definitely drink one cold!

Hmm, I thought I bought the light version and it's actually the regular one. And that's fine with me!

Take every beer you've ever sampled, sober or buzzed, and it smells like their feet. The police (wife) seems to think it's hilarious to have a nose full of this ass.

The odor has penetrated the sober people. They are running for their lives. I have been designated responsible for the well being of anyone able to comprehend this.

The fortification is getting crucified. There are just too many of them. We will shortly be overrun by an existence responsible for nose boogers. The boogers invade the finger, then, soon the brain.

DON'T be a booger Busch!

I wasn't meaning to try this as I don't drink Light beers. Pours like any other very light colored straw without much of a head. Smells a little like its cousin beer Budweiser though I'm not great at fragrance. Taste is lacking to say the least, I couldn't really discern much from a sourness. The feel was awkward as it felt like a carbonated water I've had form Mexico called Topo Chico, I couldn't get past it and the experience wasn't enjoyable.

If the Buds are rice and barley, and the Busch's are corn and barley, give me the Busch every time. No... give me something else entirely. The grain taste isn't really that bad in this one, but there are just so many better tasting beers in the world. Like many others in its class, this one is too light bodied and tastes watered down.

Barley and corn, together at last. This stuff is straw yellow mixed with seltzer water. Bad lookin', like that person at closing time when the lights come on, . . . in the city. . .

Aroma was more of a reminder of when garbage is left around too long and it has a bunch of this corn sweet smell of the bottom few ounces of light beer in it. Lots of carbonation. Not gonna make you gag, but it also isn't pleasant.

Watch out for the guy drinking and bragging about 20 of these in a sitting. Pass. AAL stuff, barely hopped, corn stuff. Makes you pee lots.

Pours a dark golden yellow with a finger of white foam.

Smells like straw and field grains.

Light-bodied, high carbonation.

Overall, a solid college staple, but awful other than that.

12 fl oz. can, bottom of the can reads 22FEB16. My neighbor had a 30 rack of this stuff sitting his fridge so i took one for review. Finally getting around to reviewing this one from Anheuser-Busch, the infamous Busch Light.

Poured into clear tulip-ish stemware. For science.

A - Crisp clear pale yellow water body. Finger or so of frothy fizzy white head that falls to a surface skimming. Appears adequately carbonated; lots of bubbles slowly floating topside. Looks alright for what it is, i suppose.

S - A cheap dusty malty adjunct-laden aroma. Notes of dusty soggy grain / corn. Weak, with poor depth and duration of aromas.

T - Watery, papery, grainy. Subtle notes of cheap dusty grains / corn, and wet cardboard. Weak, with poor depth and duration of flavors.

M - Feel is crisp, smooth, & clean. Light-bodied, easy drinking, and with crisp carb. Easier to drink than shit like Budweiser, in my honest opinion.

Overall, another American light beer. Not the worst option available, and if you are gonna go this route, it probably isn't bad for the price point either. A worthy competitor on 30 racks of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Tick.

Busch Light -----2/5.

The best thing about this beer is the low price and it is always available. It doesn't have a whole lot of taste or aroma but if your on a serious budget it's easy enough to choke down a couple of these on a hot summer day.

Elixir of the gods. Quite possibly the perfect Light American Adjunct Lager. Wonderfully balanced. Nothing harsh. Affordable. Refreshing. Mild flavor. A hot weather, sweat on your brow kind of beer. Mow the lawn, go fishing, hang at the bbq kind of beer. Easy. Consistent. Very good for what it is. Epitomizes what this style is all about. Why pay more for light beer? Very respectable.

Bought a 25oz can from Times Supermarket
Clear light golden color
Light mouthfeel
Medium - light carbonation.
Very watery taste
Overall the only good thing about it is it will not overpower any food you're eating so think of it as a palette cleanser.

I'm an IPA and stout guy but when I'm looking for a crisp lager that I can drink a lot of at a tailgate, camping, etc., I go back to the beer that got me started. Busch Light gives me the least hangover of any beer that I drink in quantity. You can pound these all day and wake up ready to go the next day!

A: Pours a clear pale yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and faint lemon + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy bright white head that reduces to a medium to large sized patch of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light aromas of cereal grain malts and grain adjuncts with minimal amounts of sweetness. Hints of grassy hops.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of cereal grain malts with a light amount of grainy adjuncts and a hint of grainy sweetness. There are very light flavors of grassy hops which impart a touch of bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.

M: Light bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin.

O: Not a lot going on with the aromas and flavors of this beer, though I suppose that is how it was designed to appeal to the largest number of palates. Nothing about this brew is offensive but I would not go out of my way to find it again. Extremely cheap and easy enough to drink with well hidden alcohol.

Also known as "Blue Yummies" this is the staple beer of the farm shops and garages of Northeast Iowa. This style of baling lager chugs down like water out of the hydrant. The taste is nowhere near as nasty as Miller Lite and slightly tamer than Silver Bullet. The tinny smell makes you wanna crank up some Metallica and change the oil in your Silverado...Get that Ford outta here! The feel is of a highly carbonated barley pop, but how can you belch super loud without all the gas. If you're looking for a world class beer to appreciate and analyze this is NOT your beer. But if you're thirsty after weed whippin' in July, then grab a 30 box and invite your buddies over to lean against the truck bed and fill it up with empties.

Tastes just like college. Beer of choice at Washington State University (Go Cougs!). Not the best but hey it'll get the job done. Gotta drink a fair amount, but it'll do.

- Can to spiegelau ipa glass. (sic).

A: Pristine fine print clarity with the palest of straw color shows a modest rise of macro-carbonation bubbles. Head coloring was chalky white, with a rather short rate of retention. Very minimal lace coverage leaves not much of standing visual.

S: Fresh dried corn, some grains, very faint aroma, short duration.

T: Corny flavor, dried corn, some dried grains, not much else to report here.

M: Mouthful was a bit crisp, light bodied as expected, turns a bit washy on longer holds. Lightly flowery and dried graininess remains behind.

O: Consumed cold. Overall was not offensive, rather lackluster as to be expected. Some corny flavor, which turned more so upon warming, some crispness, but still found myself struggling to finish about 3/4 of the way through. I have no trouble downing bombers of high abv beers (14-16%), but find it amusing i still sissy sip at times such a light non-offensive beer. I still struggle to try to define what a macro american lager should be, or what it possibly could be as the few mass produced examples there are, are so generic with little distinguishablity between them. Preference aside, not my favorite style, but still think there is plenty of room for improvement without losing identity.

Being in college I end up drinking a lot of light beers due to the cheaper price, and this one is pretty solid considering the price, and due to the fact that you have to rate it as it is, which is a cheap light lager. It goes down smooth and has a sweet corn smell with a typical light beer taste with a somewhat unpleasant sweet aftertaste, regardless it's a nice cheap beer to drink.

Go from one of the better beers I've had for 800th beer, to likely the worst with number 801.

Probably the worst beer I've ever had, and I've had plenty of shitty beers. Had this at my girlfriend's cousin's wedding since it was the only beer available ... I would have taken anything other than this, honestly. While everyone else thought it tasted like water, it tasted like a piss-poor excuse for a light beer with a fairly significant metallic flavor and smell (this was from a keg). The only flavor outside of that was some corn, and it was faint.

Rarely do I have a beer that I think actually tastes pretty bad -- there's just a tendency that light beers like these just taste like nothing. This one's metallic flavor and smell is off-putting. This gets a 2 overall just because, well... it'll getcha DRUNK!

Busch Light pours a clear golden color, with no head. There is a mellow aroma, very grainy. The taste is very grainy, and is soapy. Surprising, its a little stronger then other similar beers. Very flat feel. Overall its a tough one to drink.

Reviewed from notes. Horrible rice flavor, watery and off putting aroma in this one. Balance is off and seems something was left out of the brewing process. Leaves a bad aftertatste..

A friend recently offered me one of these out of his fridge- a leftover from another friend at a recent gathering.

I drank it straight out of the can during my lunch break in the midst of a warm day. The flavor is more or less like regular Busch, very smooth, but with perhaps even less body. It was very drinkable, quenched my thirst, and was definitely watery and light.

I would never buy this beer, but this freebee was drinkable (I will buy Busch in extreme duress, such as when working or traveling through podunk towns in Wyoming). My main beef is the almost total lack of flavor.

This is not a great beer, heck it isn't even a good beer. But it does have a few redeeming qualities: first, it is cheap. Second, it has some alcohol in it and third it can be refreshing on a hot day. Is it chock full of hops and malt. . . . nope. It is a light golden colored water with some alcohol in it. Who should drink this beer? college kids, people on fixed incomes or guys like me. Who occasionally have a need to swill a bunch of beer to "get back to their roots" and relive their youth. LOL other than that, avoid this beer.
