Natty light... welcome back to college! This is the worst cheap beer i have ever had, yet sometimes i have a hankering to remember my college days and buy a 12 pack. It's very light yellow, has a sticky sweet nose and a short lived white formy head. The taste is, how can i put it? Nasty? It could be so much better if they just put more FLAVOR in it. This is a beer for those who don't like beer, and it is understandable why people don't like beer when beers such as this exsist.

EDIT: I like the low carbs, and the fact that this beer was made not to be amazing, but to be a light straight forward brew. I enjoy it on hot summer days. I drink it on cold winter nights. This is a cheap light beer, nothing more, nothing less. I know many will not agree with me and that's fine, but I can work with this brew. It's not great, but it is what it is, and I like it for what it is.

Natty in the bottle. Well lets see.

A- A very pale piss color is appearent on pour, active carbonation throws a massive foamy head that floats like ice on the brew. Mildly sticky froth on sides of glass.

S- Corn husk with slighty sweet grainy scents upfront. Noticeable metallic hints.

T-M- Tastes like it smells... light corn and malts with grainy metallic backbone. Mouthfeel is smooth as water with alcohol added. Light carbonated feel on tongue.

D- Made to drink alot of and hits every college kids budget. My party beer of choice if more than twelve beers is on the agenda.

A: Pale straw in color, with great clarity and decent lacing. Head retention, however, is pathetic.

S: creamed corn and apples are hardly perceptible.

T: Light flavor, but corn and apple are there.

M: Light body, medium carbonation, clean finish.

D: Nothing special, but no major flaws.

Having sampled all the big brewers offerings in the light category this one wins by a slight margin over Coors light. If you are looking for a great party beer that is inoffensive to most (and inexspensive)this is it. I don't know why anyone would drink Bud-light after trying A-B Natural light. Bud light tastes like Bud with water added.
The down-side: If you are into big-flavor this ain't it. It is in no-way comparible to a micro-brew, but it is tasty and swill-able. No bad attributes. Other reviewers have referred to this as a great college beer. I must agree. Serve cold.

At $.35 for the can I thought I'd give it a shot.

The sweet/sour malt quality familiar to the style dominates the aroma, with just a touch of hops.
Pours with a real attractive chalk white head that is very loud in it's fizziness. The head leaves pretty quickly to a ring and a scattered bubble cover. Water clear of very pale gold.
The flavor holds a sourness at the end, but starts with a light sweetness of malt, then moves to a watery nothingness, which precedes the ascending bitterness that tops off at a moderate level, just before the sourness. The finish is the worst part of the drink, especially since it tends to linger a bit.
Appropriately carbonated, and it makes it kinda filling and leaves a bloated feeling. Decently soft. As it should be for style.
This coulda' been worst. I choose not to wait long enough for it warm, I dare not give it that chance. Nothing I'd look for and well worth the cost for this can. One's enough.

I gave this beer the rating I did because;

1) The appearance mirrors the taste. Which is to say, the beer looks just like you'd expect it to taste.

2) The smell is barely noticable. But that's fine for a light Pilsner beer.

3) Taste; Good becaue the manufacture claims it's smooth and that's exactly what it is.

3) Mouth feel, smooth. That's what they claim. It goes down real easy.

If your looking for an alternative to Miller Lite and want something with less taste and lots of smoothness, this is it. Some guy reviewed this and said something like it's a good beer for a hot summer night. I would agree.

Pale straw-colored pour with a nice white head that dissipates rather quickly, leaving no lacing. Aroma is light, not much character. Notes of corn, a little light malt, and (dare I say it?) a hint of cat piss. Not much flavor, light bodied and a little watery. Some corn sweetness, a surprising bit of bitterness on the finish. Nothing special, but nothing really offensive either. I found this more satisfying than some light lagers.

It is what it is...How many times have we said that?! Really, it's not that bad for a light beer. I don't care for light beer, but the gut is getting outta I picked this up as a spacer. Haven't had it in a couple years, and it really hasn't gotten any better. I've always figured, why pay MORE for LESS of a product though? Like Miller's $22/30pk, Bud Light, Mich. Ultra, etc... They all cost WAY too much for what little they are. SO, if you're gonna do light...why not go cheap. I just paid $13.75 INCLUDING tax for a 30/pk. and the calories and carbs are just as low...even lower than some lights. It has more flavor than alot of lights, but not the greatest flavor. It IS smooth, I must say, and watery, therefore very drinkable. Has that "Bud/AB" familiar flavor, to me, however slight it is. A decent light, if there is such a thing. Does the job, and ice cold on a hot day...hits the spot. If you're a light beer drinker, and have never tried this...I doubt you'll hate it, and you may even like it better than the big 3's light offerings. Well, it is an A/B product, so if you're a Bud Light drinker...give this one a try. It's clean, smooth, slightly refreshing. So is water though! Happy drinkin' my friends! Cheers and as we Italians say..."SAAALOOOT!"

I usually drink Natty Light from the can on camping trips and such. When I look at it in the glass the unimpressive beer is even more unimpressive. Looks like some type of contaminated water. As pale yellow as pale can get with just a faint white fizzy ring on top. Kind of like the ring that is around the moon before it snows. Is it really there? Not really much aroma. It's not bad, it's not good, it's not there. As the beer warms in might smell kind of metallic, probably from the can. For what it is, I don't think it's a bad tasting beer. It's cheap and taste like it, but it's not repulsive. Too me it taste like cheerios. Mouthfeel is as thin bodied as a beer can get. I like Natty Light as a beer to sit around the campfire and shoot the bull with the buds. And it's like 3 bucks a 6 pack to boot.

Ah ha! The party couple left a few of these from the ol’ New Year Eve party – might as well pop one for a New Year Review:

Whoo, good grief, a lite straw pour with almost no heading is not a good start. Cooked veggies in the aroma, and almost no taste what-so-ever. Dry and unimpressive – but crap at $10 for a 30 pack, what the hell would ya expect?

I got this from my father's refrig, and poured into a pint glass. It poured proably the most clear yellow color I have ever seen with a fair amount of head that had the fastest retention I have ever seen. There was a bit of lace that was not sticky. The smell was kind of spicy and the taste was kind of sweet. Not very good. Don't drink and review.

Poured from a can to a Dixie cup. The liquid is a straw yellow, lots of carbonation and a white 2 finger head.

The smell is faint malt and a fruity note.

The taste is corn and very light malt.

The mouthfeel is thin and soda water like.

The drinkability is ok, If need be you could survive on this. MK

Nattie Light is truly the staple of college campuses everywhere. Cheap beers are usually pretty bad, and Nattie is no different. Yet Nattie Light is the best of the worst. It's a college party beer, thats it. And although it looks really strange, Nattie Light does come in a bottle. You usually will be questioned because it looks all sophisticated (wow Nattie in a bottle?!?) Don't be fooled though, when you thought it couldnt get any worse, it does out of the bottle. Stick with that trashy silver can and before you know it you will be able to pound plenty of this swill.

From can no. 30JUL-MZ46 sampled on January 15, 2012. It is fifteen degrees outside so I placed this can on my front step to really chill it down naturally. Natural Light? Natural cooling? Why not? I review these on their style not on their reputation.

So it pours yellow with carbonation angst and a foamy head. The head fades fast. It looks like it supposed to. Aromas of barley malt, cereal, light yeast, and clean hop note. Better than anticipated but still very typical. The body is thin and watery. The taste is grainy with a slightly unexpected dry finish. Still nothing extraordinary. All in all a typical light macro lager.

The beer pours a pale straw color with a 1/2" white head that quickly fades to spotty lacing. The aroma is average. It has a faint pilsner malt scent along with barely any hops and a dry finish. The taste is below average. It's obviously loaded with adjuncts and only has enough malt for a pale coloring and a faint malt flavor. It goes down quick and easy with a dry finish. It's crisp and clean with little beer flavor. The mouthfeel is average . It's a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a adjunct laden light lager. It's nothing I'd revisit soon, but it does the trick for people who drink macro lagers and are looking for a lighter choice.

This is a college kid's beer. I drank this all the time in college. It was cheap and all I could afford. I use to not be able to stand it at all, but after drinking so much of it I got use to it. This is just a nothing special beer. If you want a cheap beer to get drunk and play drinking games, this is a perfect beer.

16 oz can born on 19 Jun 14 at 40 degrees into standard pint glass
Aroma very weak rice (?)
Head large (8 cm), white, fizzy, rapidly diminishing to 2 mm layer
Lacing none
Body very light yellow, clear
Flavor pretty much none, maybe a hint of dimethylsulfide; no hops, no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate light, watery, lively carbonation

If you’ve got nothing else to drink, including water, this is passable.

Appearance - Very pale yellow with about a half inch of head.

Smell - Nothing special.

Taste - Watered down Bud, but unlike Bud Light, is manageable.

Drinkability - Out of all of the macro lagers, perhaps in the 2nd tier of beers. Considering the price of the beer, a very good buy. Doesn't give me a headache afterwards and I would recommend it for your college parties.

The number one sold discount beer in United States. hops. It is first time tasting this beer. I will rating according light lager category.

Appearance: A very light yellow with a lot of carbonation

Smell: Like a American adjunct lager grainy.

Taste : barley some malts with some very floral hop character and bitterness. on rss then second then no taste with a clean finish. The old Wendy commercial where is the beer ? where the beer natural light ?

Mouthfeel Seltzer water feel to it,

Overall : Natural Ice’s distinction is that it's a beer most commonly seen in the US in a 24-packs being hauled out of a local grocery store by a college kids and older retired people on a budget. Have you seen natural light in six packs ?
Nothing offensive about natty light but you have to look hard find any taste to it. I am not going to trash natural light, again it has its place in college frat house and people hard on cash. I will stick with miller light and bud light which have more resemblance of a beer. The saving is not worth the quality you are giving up with natty light. For some of you out who buy natty light as long as you’re comfortable being spotted as a Natty Light drinker go an buy you some of this natty swill !

This is about the only light beer I drink with any degree of consistency. It is better than drinking water. I was surprised to see the ABV of 4.2%. Seems to be less than that to me.
Very light, no taste to speak of, but no bad taste- very clean and maybe the yeast Anheuser Busch uses agrees with me, but I like the smell, which is similar to Bud's but a bit weaker. Take a Bud and add about 1/2 can of water or so and you get a Natty.
I have had different beers in the fridge at the same time and found myself reaching for a NL over them. Sometimes it just feels right

Appearance - Straw yellow, not to much head no retention.

Smell - Nothing at all. Really nothing bad smelling at all just nothing bad. No skunk at least.

Taste - Hmmm. Water? It is like drinking water with some beer mixed in. I will admit it is not as bad as some light beers, but its not to bad actually. If you like lights this isnt half bad.

Mouthfeel - feels just like water that is carbonated. Lighter then soda.

Drinkability - This is the best part of this beer. Can easily put like 10 down in a night. Nothing wrong with the drinkability.

well I figure I've had enough of these to finally review it. Natty Lights should only be thought of as what they are, cheap watered down all day beer-a-thon beers, and not enjoyable singles to reflect your day over. With that being said:
A- piss yellow, watered down. no head with some carbonation.
S- hardly exists. can smell the carbonation if you get your nose close enough, like sparkling water.
T- watery, with a tiny zip of beer.
M- easy to swallow, and yes smooth. nothing leftover in your mouth so you easily forget when your last sip was and quickly take another.
D- this is the ultimate ALL day beer. great for leisure sport Olympics or long fishing days.

Not a bad beer at all if your looking for an inexpensive, refreshing, macro. The color and head retension leave something to be desired. But where I live the closest place to buy beer is 15 miles away and very expensive. So I often turn this direction to save money for a more desireable micro or import.

The color is piss-yellow, straw color. There's absolutely no head after a few seconds of opening and/or pouring it. There's a shit ton of bubbles.

The smell really isn't there. There's some grain, some beery water.

The taste consists of carbonated water, and lots of generalized grain flavor.

The mouthfeel is bubbly.

Its drinkability is through the roof.

Pours clear golden color decent white head that disappears to nothing.

Smell really not much here some malt stands out faintly.

Taste again not much a little sweet corn taste this is really not meant to be a very flavorful beer.

Feel very clean and crisp.

Overall this is not a very good beer I drink it when it is on sale in the summer and want something I can drink on all day at the beach.
