Poured with a large head for the style

smells very corny and sweet but plain otherwise

Tastes very sweet and the fact is balanced out by the present alcohol taste in this lighter beer

I think ice beers are under rated in general, these are high alcohol with more flavor than normal adjuncts,

I really don't understand why this beer is getting lower reviews than Natural Ice. It does have the same metallic smell as Natural Ice but a lot less metallic smell. For being a cheap beer I think it is actually good. I actually like it better than regular Budweiser, which costs more and is lower in alcohol content. Budweiser is my favorite of the mass produced beers but I actually think this tastes better at a lower price. Natural Ice gets better reviews than this but they are both brewed by the same company and not even a half percent difference in alcohol content makes up the difference in taste. It is fairly flavorless, but if you want a cheap beer that will get you buzzed this is it. It does not win a flavor competition, but it will get you buzzed at a cheap price and pretty much taste like water. I believe that was what the company was looking to accomplish so I belive they did a good job at accomplishing that.

I can't help but feel that everyone here is exaggerating to some degree. Bud Ice is uncomparable to something along the lines of Victory At Sea but it's 200Km beyond King Kobra or anything of that sort. In other words - it's a low quality, flavorless (preferential in this case), inexpensive yet drinkable beer.

Ok so it's the morning after and my head is throbbing pretty bad so I recant. Try to avoid this beer.

We old timers remember when the ice beer revolution/advertising campaign was in its infancy. It was a really big deal for about six months....then everyone realized it was just a crappier version of regular crappy beers. It was a gimmick, like Zima, which appeared around the same time. Unlike Zima, this garbage is still going strong.

Bud's version pours clear bodied and straw colored with watery off white head. Nose is sour corn and that's it. Flavor is corn and grain but is neither impressive or offensive. Blander and duller even than regular Bud. Texture and finish are limp and empty. It is drinkable in that it takes no effort, not in that it is enjoyable.

This is a little darker color than the usual yellow of a BMC product. Almost no head. Aroma of boozy grain.

This is mostly a gimmick. The abv of the beer is only .5% higher than the regular Bud product. And for that .5%, you smell and taste like 5x as much alcohol. Otherwise, its the same beer suffering in every aspect category wise compared to the base beer. I was shocked they still make this. Total niche market.

The beer comes in a clear deep yellow.

The aroma offers stinky sweet grains, fresh pale grain quality, apples.

The flavor follows with apple sweetness, but surrounded by more cracked grains,. The beer somehow burns on the back of the palate somehow. Smooth despite that initial attack, and the beer just glides away so quickly.

The mouthfeel is razor thin, with prickly carbonation helping the brew out.

This is the drink of choice for homeless people here in Las Vegas.
It's cheap and can get you buzzed in one or two cans.

The smell is similar to that of urine that has fermented in a gatorade bottle you accidentally left from two summers ago.

The taste isn't half bad. Reminds me of a big bite into sourdough and washing it down with water.
The after taste is similar to licking wet cardboard.

The look of the beer is actually nice. Its a golden color with a head that seems to dissipate rather quickly.

The feel is pretty nice going down. It reminds me of drinking a seltzer water. Can't taste the alcohol much.

Overall its a beer that is super cheap, tastes like seltzer water and bread and can get you drunk fast.

This is the drink for homeless people and highschool kids.

I really won't try to drag this one out a whole lot. I have made several attempts at giving these AAL's a shot and really am coming up with almost the same thing so here we go.
Look is O.K. with a clear golden color and a white head that just disappears very quickly.
Smell is just not a whole lot but some sweet bread smell.
Taste is actually O.K. for a Bud. The taste of that thick rice soup of regular Bud seems to be squashed by the icing process.
The mouth feel is on the light side, almost like a light beer, with a crisp finish.
Overall not a bad beer and a better one one from the folks at Bud.

As a college student, I do my best to try out both full flavorful and rich beers as well as finding something dirt cheap to get drunk off of. This beer is the latter. A perfect beer to get drunk with. This definitely had the lightest yellow color that I've ever seen a beer have. The smell consisted of a very light corn/wheat smell. The taste was initially watery that gave way to a typical AAL taste with grain and wheat and such. the finish had a strong malt flavor. The mouthfeel was one of the smoothest beers I've ever had that went down easily. Cost me 5 dollars for a 6 pack and with 5.5 ABV this beer gives you a great buzz with a nice taste.

Probably the best of the Bud family. Loads more flavor than Light, that's for sure. Good 40oz-er too. But let's get one thing straight; no one buys this because they are looking for a quality product that is going to challenge their taste buds to detect obscure flavors and appreciate delicate balances and combinations. People buy Bud Ice, like all Buds, because they are on a budget, want something drinkable to get drunk with.

Ok here's the review for real guys that can't drink 6 hopped up IPAs in a night with out weighing 280 . If your looking for a beer that comes in low carb , about 4 , with decent ABV 5.5 . That you can have few of out camping and what not , while enjoying a few nicer beers you like, at the 5.99 a 6 price tag you can do a lot worse . Really cold straight out of the cooler it's very refreshing and you don't have to step on the scale Monday up 5 Lbs . Just my thoughts .

Malty taste not to hoppy, highly carbonated and inexpensive. A step or 2 above malt liquor if that is a positive, Its cousin seems to be of a higher quality. The carbonations hides the cheap flavor. Had alot better but also alot worse

Poured at 46°F from an 18oz bottle (indecipherable bottle date) into a nonic pint glass. Consumed on 09Jun16.
LOOK: A fingers worth of white foam is formed after pouring. At twenty seconds, the head shrivels to a line. Straw yellow in color. There is a subtle amount of medium-sized rising bubbles. Lacing is thin and hardly existent.
SMELL: Strong aromas of corn clash with mild aromas of car exhaust, subtle sweet sugars, and hints of spicy hops.
TASTE: The assault on my taste buds opens with mild car exhaust flavors. Strong flavors of corn bring an unwanted balance to the toxicity of the car exhaust. The hop profile next becomes prevalent as mild spicy hop flavors enter. Once again, an unwanted balance is presented. Hints of sweet sugars finish off this monstrosity as all previous flavors persist.
FEEL: Light-bodied and highly carbonated. This goes down rough due to the carbonation. Finishes nice and crisp.

Long time lurker, after throwing back a few of these though I need a little stimulation so here goes. I used to drink more ice beer than I'd like to admit because it goes down easily and is dirt cheap. After finishing off a six-pack of Flying Dog's barley wine ale last night I was feeling cheap so I picked up a 12-pack of Bud Ice from the gas station. It's a cheap brew but it goes down shockingly easy. You do not sip this beer, you take it in gulps. Smooth, heavy carbonation leads to a malty, watery finish. It's reminiscent of malt-liquor. As light as a beer can go without calling itself light. Awful unappealing bottle design and straw yellow color, equally unfavorable smell. Favorable to Bud Light and the like.

Champion of the Ice Beer arm wrestling competition.

This one actually taste good and doesn't diminish too greatly after it warms up a bit. Sort of an enhanced Budwiser with more of that brand's better qualities. It is crisp, clean, smooth, fuller textured and doesn't have the slightly abrasive aftertaste of regular Bud.

Bargain priced and well worth it.

1/20/16 - District of Columbia - (25 oz can, multiple pours into small thin glass). Very light straw pour, somewhat clear, generous white head, lacing and carbonation. Hops, corn and malt aroma, very thin texture, easy smooth beer going down.

Perfect for a palate cleanser. Why? Because it has very little flavor and it is very carbonated. Pours a pale straw color with a crackling head that dissipates into nothing. The mouthfeel of this beer disturbs me, as if it should be sent back to the fermenting tanks. I do enjoy this one. Probably one of my favorite AB products.

Clear golden pour. Very weak head and associated characteristics.

Extremely weak nose It has no hop presence and is mostly grain notes.

Light body with a very thin texture. Water comes to mind. Well carbonated for the body but it comes across as "soda water" - no heft to it.

The flavor profile is weak - very little hop flavor and only a very light bitterness. Even the grains taste muted. Nothing more than a buzz beer.

Currently enjoying out of a glass 40 poured, every 12 ounces, into a pint glass. This beer has a very minimal head when first poured, that dissipates within the first ten seconds, no lacing at all. Aroma is grainy, tastes is very smooth surprisingly for its 5.5% abv content. Very drinkable American lager with a watery mouth feel and moderate carbonation content. Goes down smooth.

I am admittedly a fan of light bodied American lagers. This is one you are definitely going to want to get bottled. Never had it in a 6 or 12 pk, but for two bucks a 40 oz, it's a good value. My only complaint is that it comes in a clear glass bottle, so you might come across a skunk every once in awhile. Luckily I have not, in the past few years of drinking it occasionally. Not my go-to, but not a bad choice either. Worth chilling out at home with when you want a decent tasting beer and a cheap buzz.

Great beer for people that are not much of a beer drinker such as myself. I actually use this beer with a dash of bloody mary mix for my red beer. Yum! Like a light beer with slightly higher alcohol content. Did I mention that it's also cheap?!

Look i will in no shape or style try to stack this beer up against a lot of other brews, but for what it is, its great. You need it out of a bottle, which sucks because most places have stopped selling six packs. And you need to throw them in the freezer for 10 mins before drinking. Weird right? But trust me it makes it a million times better. Its cheap but i prefer it over budlight or regular bud. Im dead serious. Less cost and more alcohol by volume. Just trust me, shake off the feeling of being white trash by buying it, throw it in the freezer for a few minutes, and enjoy an easy drinking beer

Ok look. A 16 ounce red bull costs 4 bucks. A six pack of Bud Ice is 4bucks. It tastes like nothing. Like water more than colors light. But 6 of them will tear you down if you need a cheap beer buzz. And without the Malt liquor crack taste.

Sampled on Friday night on 7/10/15. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a vintage "BUDWEISER" thumb-print glass goblet.

Brew pours a golden-yellow in color with a thin white head. Really not much lacing is noticed to speak of. Aroma is really nothing to mention other than some grassy grains. Pretty much is said for the taste as well. Bit watered down. Wasn't great but was drinkable. Like a regular 'Bud' but with a higher alcohol content. Lighter-bodied with higher carbonation.
