Admitantly i am an Anheuser-Busch fan. That being said, this is an average beer. As far as appearce it is fairly normal. Smell and taste are plain. Overall it's a good beer, Especially when trying to drink and not drink a lot of calories.

As far as light beers go, this is one of my favorites. Look when poured is typical to light beers, light yellow with a white head. Smell is surprising, to me I do smell grass, barley and possibly corn-- I was not expecting much of a smell, but yet it had a pleasant scent, not very strong but present for sure. Taste is definitely grass and rice, very consistent from start to finish. Feel is of course, light but not too carbonated, with little lingering aftertaste. Also beer is not dry at all, so it is very refreshing overall.

I enjoy Bud Select for what it is-- a light beer that is very refreshing. IMO this beer is the best out of all the 'Budweiser' products and is perfect for eating with meals due to it's light feel, or when it's time to quench your thirst on a hot summer day. Also, on another note, this is a great beer to drink to get drunk on-- it is only 3.2 grams of carbs per beer, and with 4.2% alcohol content, you can drink a shitload of these-- I think my personal best is 22 of these in one sitting. (then again I may have forgotten to count one or two!)

Pours very light yellow with a white head. Very carbonated. Smell is of rice and barley. Taste is sweet rice and barley. Mouthfeel is a little watery. Overall, better than bud light, but not as good as Budweiser.

Very very light in color, has a large white head that goes away very quickly. This beer hardly had a smell, had a grainy hint. Tasted like a malty lager heavily watered down.

I was feeling rather sadistic one night, quite in the mood to torture myself so I picked up a 25oz can of Budweiser Select. To my surprise, it wasn't absolutely sickening.

Look: Completely translucent with a white, three finger head that fizzles away quickly but retains a head for a while.
Smell: Sweet. Buttery corn. Mildly floral.
Taste: Not bad, once you get past the incredible off putting metallic flavor upfront. Tastes like a bud light, only marginally better. It's vegetal with lots of green apple and grainy flavors upfront with a moderately sweet honey taste. Finishes dry and floral, with notes of corn.
Feel: Probably the best part about this beer. It's light and crisp. Bubbly. Sightly dry, but sweet. Very thirst quenching.
Overall: Once you adjust to the crap factor, it's not too shabby, but in my opinion it's a lackluster beer, even for the adjunct light beer style.

This is my go-to drink. It has been my favorite for a long time (well since the first time I tried one actually), I love the flavor! I love that it isn't as heavy as a Budweiser and not as light as a Bud Light. It's right in the middle and that's perfection in my opinion. There aren't any other beers I've found so far that match that not too heavy, not too light trait. It goes down smooth and it's very refreshing!

Very good light beer. Low calorie but great refreshing taste for a light beer. Being in St. Louis there is heavy advertising for it as a local beer. Best in cans, good clearing head.

Ginger ale like appearance with large bubbles and minimal cap.

Aroma is mild with hints of light grain. I do not detect the caramel malt listed by the brewer, or the hops either.

Taste is richer than expected, mild but malty, hops appear in the finish and linger in the aftertaste. I taste what I can only describe as grain sweetness without identifying whether the sweetness comes from grain or something else. Not an objectionable level of sweetness, just a noticeable presence. The grain flavor is clean like a mild cornbread made with white corn grain. Mid palate I find the caramel malt which wasn't hiding but was next to the wall rather being out in the open. Hops appear just in time to put an end to the sentence.

Medium texture with a noticeable bubbly presence.

Overall it's not a bad jot at keeping a brew under 100 calories while retaining enough flavor to set it apart from seltzer water. For those seeking a low calorie brew with some flavor and no bitterness this one serves as well as any I've tried.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into Budweiser Shaker Pint. Poured a golden clear body with a small fizzy head that was gone almost in an instant. Very very small head type layer on top.
Smelled of caramel malt. Reminds me of an O'Doul's Amber to be honest with you.
Tasted like Bud Light but better on the front and back end.
Mouthful was very light bodied, but goes down smooth.
Overall, I'll have a regular Budweiser over this but definitely have this over a Bud Light.
Not horrid, I suppose.

On sale for $8.99 a 12 pack.

Pours a not quite pale golden hay color, with a rough 3 finger head. The head completely dissipates within a minute or so, leaving a simple bubbly ring on the outside.

The aroma is of course terrible, filled with DMS, adhesive, rubber cement, and stale barley. It's highly chemical, and I don't recommend inhaling it for very long.

The flavor however is not that bad. Some of the chemical wash comes in at the end but it's comparably mild. For the most part it's very crisp and tight, offering notes of corn, barley, and straw, along with a touch of hard boiled egg, vegetables, and a faint lick of butter. The aftertaste is surprisingly Budweiser heavy-esque. Analyzing it further just makes it seem worse, so I'll just continue drinking it while it's cold.

Feel is crisp and tight, a touch dry, and ends bubbly and carbonated with a dusty dryness.

Overall Budweiser Select won't win any medals, but it is better than Bud Light and is currently my jam for light beer. I do like it, I don't recommend pouring it or smelling it, as that will just make you depressed. I like the crisp flavor and the aftertaste of baked barley and even the hint of egg in there. It's really not terrible, but don't expect this to stand up to craft beers - it just won't.

Ugly weak yellow, looks like those light ass South/Central American beers in the clear bottles. Gotta admit, the head it formed and its dissipation were solid though. Aroma of old beer and whatever beechwood seems to hold.

Tons of carbonation, few and far between with the flavors. This is not the beer I'm looking for under any circumstance. There's just too many awesome session ipas and pale ales, or even shit, Rolling Rock that I could be drinking instead. I guess positively speaking, there were no 'off' flavors, but then again, kinda hard to have off flavors, when you are little to no flavors.

I drank 32 of these one night for a buddy's graduation party. I'd say I'm average as far as tolerance goes but after 6-8 beers I'm usually in a good world. Drinking 32 of these speaks volumes about how watery they are. Granted it was an entire day, it was just sad how much money I thought I was saving with these. Taste was like water, easy to drink and I thought easy to get drunk. Smell is mediocre to bad. 1 to 2 fingers of head if poured perfectly. The color is laughable. Won't buy again.

Clear pale gold with two fingers of white head. Some minor lace as the head recedes quickly. Smell is mild malts and a bit of yeast. Taste is light bready malt with a very minor hop taste in the finish. High carbonation level with a typical light lager drying finish. Actually an excellent AAL light version. The lack of success of this beer must mean that Bud Light drinkers don't really want more flavor.

For an American macrolager, this brew is not that bad. Maybe because it just rises to the level of average. I sense that this is what all macrolagers would taste like if the corporate brewers didn't cut corners and challenged themselves more.

Pours a nice golden color with a thick head that thins to less than a lace. Smells gross like every other adjunct lager. Has a surprising nice taste for this type of beer. Goes down pretty smooth, a little dry. Overall, not too bad, but not good enoug to buy again.

This beer is a travesty to even call beer. True pisswasser, real shiessebier. There really is no reason to drink ths unless it is really hot outside, the beer is really cold, and you are dying of thirst.

As I have said before: it looks like pee, it tastes like pee, and I don't like paying for pee.

Sampling right now on 7/20/14. Seen this around but never tried it. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a vintage 'Budwesier glass goblet'.

Pours a golden yellow in color with a very thin white head that settles to just along the sides of the glass. Very little lacing is seen, spotty at best. Lots of carbonation. The aroma isn't much of anything really, just some grass and sweet corn. The taste is well...horrible! Talk about a 'watered-down' brew taste, this would be it. Actually the taste is very light of grain with a slight sweet corn finish that is a tad on the dry side.

12oz can, left over from my sister-in-law's farm wedding. I'm not sure why the groom chose this because he is a beer guy. Not surprising that there were 22 left of the 24 pack he bought. I took one for review purposes and left the rest for someone else to drink at the farm. Can is date stamped 04JUN14.
L - golden with a thin, fizzy, white head thay dissipates to nearly nothing very quickly.
S - not much for aroma: sweet, corn, grass
T - watery beer? Beer flavored water? Flavor is weak and rather nauseating. Adjunct lager flavors of grass, cereal, corn.
F - thin as water, adequate carbonation, clean finish
O - just not worth brewing or drinking 99 calories of watery brew. I get that this is something people go for, but it's not for me.

This one is better than Bud Light in my opinion, although Bud Light is still the champ over it in terms of sales. It is quite similar to Bud Light, except with less calories, slightly higher ABV, and a smoother taste.

A-very clear light gold color with a white head that fades fast, but left some lace
S-sweet grain aroma with a slight hop smell
T-sweet grain with some quick hops bitterness that faded back to the sweet grain finish
M-light body and medium to high carbonation
T-this beer has something other than a sweet grain taste

A: The beer is crystal clear light straw yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Faint aromas of grainy malts are present in the nose along with some hints of grassy hops. The smell becomes a little stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has flavors of grainy malts and corn adjuncts. It's not sweet, but no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light-bodied, clean and somewhat watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink but doesn't offer much in terms of pleasant aromas or flavors.

Note: Canned on 3/13/13

Poured out an ugly straw yellow color, barely distinguishable as beer. It did form over 1" head though, and the lacing and retention were decent.

Aroma was that bland rice and beechwood aging staleness.

Taste is about what bud light has going for it, lots of carbonation, little in the way of barley, hops or alcohol. Lots of water. Mouthfeel is just like carbonated water with a little more bitterness. Some corn sugar like flavoring in the water. Really doesn't taste like what I've come to know as beer for the last 20 years.

I can't even see drinking this if you're on a diet. You're gonna have to drink a ton of them, which kind of defeats the point I would think.

No purpose.

I started drinking this beer when I was on a low carb diet. It fit the bill for me to a T. Smooth, easy, maybe a little too easy to drink with a taste that isn't offensive, it is the perfect diet beer. Miler Lite to me is bitter , with a tang and offensive, Coors is like water as is Bud 55, at least this beer has some taste and will give me a buzz. A lot of the other premium light beers aren't light at all. Select gives you the right balance between calorie/carbs and taste.
