I'm trying to be objective. I expected this to be just a bit better than awful, since I despise regular Bud, and this is meant to be a "special" Bud. I was offered this at a bbq recently, and, since there was nothing else to drink, not even water, I decided to taste it. But honestly I could find nothing about this beer to distinguish it from it's ubiquitous brother. Admittiedly it's been a long time since I've had a Bud.

It's paler than straw, faintly golden and clear. A bright white coarse head flares up and fizzes away after a bit. At first I can't smell anything. Then a weak whiff of sour grain. Not a hop to be smelt anywhere.

The taste would be refreshing if the beer was so cold that it actually numbed your tongue. As it is, what flavor there is, is subtle, grainy, a little lemony, a bit of spritz from some leftover carbonation, and you're done. Aftertaste is sweet and sickening. Malt? no. Barley? where? Hops? Hah!

I really can't say enough bad things about this "select" beer. Managed to down half the bottle for educational purposes.

Fizz bomb pour that has minimal retention, Pale golden to clear in color, tons of multiple different size carbonation race to the surface.

Corn, adjunct, rice tasting lager. Highly carbonated and crisp, to the point of being harsh on the throat. Obviously Budweiser appeals to a large demo, but this comes across boring, cheap tasting and stinging on the palate.

Notes: Tasted very similar to the king of all beers, Budweiser but it falls short of its father beer. That's not a compliment to either.

Served in an aluminum bottle at the Phantom Gourmet BBQ Beach party. Budweiser had a monopoly on the market in terms of beer, as they were the only beer allowed at the party. See, money can get you something.

No cups provided, so I had espy the color from tilting the bottle into the sunlight streaming through city hall plaza. Clear light yellow. A bit bubbly.

Slight smell of malt grain. Very cold even after it was left to sit. Aluminum bottle? I think so.

No real taste to speak of, besides cold. Light hints of malt, and almost no trace of hops.

Of very little redeeming quality.

Pale yellow in color with moderate carbonation. Sickly head that quickly leaves. No lace.

Almost no aroma whatsoever. Only hints of cooked grain and hops. Taste is even lighter. Very subtle hints of bitterness that quickly are overtaken by equally subtle sweetness from cooked veggies. Seltzer like quality is reminiscent of well, Alka-Seltzer with almost no mouth feel and cheweyness you'd expect from a beer. One thing it does have in it's favor is that it is better than Bud light, so if you have a choice between this beer and Bud Light, grab this one.

Clear gold color, fluffy white head. Head rapidly fades to nothing. I noticed a small periling going on in the glass. Aroma of fresh cut hay, musty wet at that. Flavor can be summed up with lack of. Nothing was there in the flavor department. Mouthfeel is watery and bland. Drinkability? Why?

Ok new beer from the "Evil Empire"..lets see ..
Appearance ..well the usual urine colour of someone slightly dehydrated from a night on the town...no head..just spittle like lace.
Smell..of rice pudding not beer.
Taste? tastes like seltzer water ,with rice and cardboard.
mouthfeel is miserable..limp and rotten finishes with a wimper.
No waywould I buy more of this..usual low carb crap. Doesnt A-B know the low carb frenzy is almost over. I dont see the point in this beer they alreadyhave the abysmal Mich.Ultra..drank everywere by obese idiots with their plate of grease.

Pours a standard clear yellow color with a nice head. Aroma is bland with corn adjunct standing out more than anything. Taste is much of the same, sort of dull and harsh with an unimpressive backbone. Good for a lawnmower beer but unimpressive in general.

This beer is Budweiser's attempt to create a beer that is virtually tasteless. I think they succeeded in doing this fairly well.

When you pour this beer into the glass it looks like every other piss beer out there. The right amount of head that you would expect from every other light beer in America. Quick to rise and then quick to fade away.

The mouth feel is about as sharp as razor blades. Granted it isn't quite as bad as other beers like Natural LIght or Milwaukee's Best, but it is a close follower.

There really is no taste whatsoever. The only taste you get is from the smell of the beer which really is about as bland as an unsalted saltine. Then you ask, "Why eat a saltine with no salt?" Exactly my point. The only thing that this beer has up on bud light is the lack of repulsive after taste that lingers around for hours after being consumed.

In summation it is just Bud Light without the lingering after taste.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pint glass.

Appearance: Very pale and almost has an artificial neon glow. Almost no head.

Smell: Sweet, sickly grains.

Taste: Not much. A little bit of of sweet apple when cold. Starts tasting like metal as it warms.

Feel: Extremely high carbonation with almost no body.

Drinkability: Overall, it seems like carbonated water that has gone bad. On the plus side, I guess it is drinkable.

Pours a sickly looking pale straw yellow with a thin white soapy head and no lacing. Smells of grain and corn maybe a little yeast. Tastes of bitterness and sweetness although nothing is really prominent enough to pick out other than some corn or rice. High carbonation. Thin mouthfeel. Low drinkability. Quite nasty.

A-not bad. yellow in color but darker than most light beers

S- eh. nothing special. some malt. I guess if you tried hard enough you can smell some hops too.

T- most light beers are completely unoffensive to the palate. this is not the case. It had a fairly strong bitter (but not a good bitter) taste and the nasty aftertaste stuck
D- its not. its hard to finish one of these let alone ever drink another. My choice in AB light lagers is definately Bud Light.

Appearance was a pale golden color with a frothy white head.
Aroma of lightly sweet grain.
Flavor was barely noticable, just some very light honey and hints of grain.
The boring lack of taste is still better than the horrid taste of some of their other products.

Pours a one-finger white froth from the bottle being straight up, this fades quickly and there is no lace. Clear very pale amber color. Nose is not there for me, at least it is not skunky like so many from the macros. Light carbonation and very light bodied. Starts with a slight sweetness no detectable hops, watery finish. I would rather drink water than spend money on this "beer". $1.25 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, Ma.

Bottle at the Mundelein beer tasting. Pours clear, fizzy, and yellow.

The dominant notes in the aroma are:
1.) water
2.) shitty beer
3.) macro lager.
The only good thing I can say about it is that I couldn't taste any adjuncts. Or much of anything, really.

22 oz., "born on" 4/6/05 - figured I was gonna try it one time or another. Served chilled in a nonic. The head is the only thing that looks ok. It's 2 fingers and has decent pits as is recedes, leaving more lacing than I usually see from AB beers. Corn, metal, and other adjunct scents in the nose. On the palate: carbonation. That's it. They've finally figured a way to filter all the flavor out of their beer - it wasn't until near the end of the bomber that hints of corn appeared. Mouthfeel is tingly and very light. I'm staying away from this one in the future.

12 oz bottle. Pale straw color with a soapy white rapidly dissapating head.
Aroma is grain and cat pee.
Flavor is... uh what flavor? grainy aftertaste.
I think this is Micheloeb ultra in different packaging. If I'm out at the bar that only has macros, I might drink this, otherwise I'll pass

Pours piss yellow, with a thin white cap. Grainy aroma, watery taste. Crisp and light, sharp mouthfeel. Hard to believe how flavourless beer can get. Only drank it because it was free and was eating crappy burgers. I've had better light beers with more flavour profile. This one truly sucks.

Had this at a party. Trust me there was nothing better.

Yellow piss color with no smell and no head

Taste is of metal and corn. If you have had a bud light then you have had this beer before. Down right a waste of time and money on this beer.

Overall there I see no reason to ever buy this beer. I am glad that I got it for free.

Two thumbs down.

A: Light yellow, white head lasted 10 seconds.

S: Kinda smells like beer. Grains, hops(?) corn.

T: Kinda tastes like beer. See smell

M: Alka Seltzer.

D: Yea this sure is... not worth my time.

Poured a straw color with little head that quickly vanished. Left no retention on the glass. Smell? What am I smelling? Water? Maybe a hint of grain in there, not very much aroma it gives off. The taste, somewhat like the smell. Tasted very close to water with a slight and i mean slight grainy hint. As it sits in your mouth it is easily mistaken for water. Very light with little carbonation. After it goes down, it leaves no taste in your mouth. If you want something refreshing that taste close to water then this brew is for you. Oh and its only 99 calories

Straw yellow, white head.

Old hay smell. Vinegar.

Slightly less flavor than club soda. Ass-ftertaste

Over carbonated, not in a good way.
OK, so this beer has fooled millions into thinking they are drinking good beer. Which is cool, if lack of flavor = better.

Pours a pale yellow with a lot of carbonation and a white fizzy head that leaves no lacing. Smell of corn and faint hops. Tastes the same and typical macrobrew funk. Very thin bodied like water. I actually prefer budlight to this, but that's not saying much.

A young friend of mine gave me one of these little turds in a bottle. I was of course skeptical, but actually a bit surprised. The brew had an aftertaste I've never tasted before. I suppose it was a mixture of non malted grains, such as extra corn and rice. However, it seems this is really just a marketing ploy by A-B to give themselves a new edge to the masses. A-B has done a lot in the past to keep American brewing alive, so why can't they adapt to what American beer connoisseurs really want? Full flavored beer! Don't feed me any Michelob Hefeweizen crap please!

In my quest for good beer this has got to be one of the worst. Got a 24 pack for the family (along with some Oberon, Full Circle, and Red's Rye). I decided to drink a leftover and give this beer a chance. Pours a very light watery pale golden color. Nice head forms and decent retention. Lots of bubbles along the side of the glass and rising to the top. Smell is mildly grainy in an artificial adjunct sort of way. Taste is almost nothing. This beer is so dry and watery that I can discern almost no flavor. Slightly sweet grain at the initial sip but it goes away right away. Not even refreshing. This beer is worthless.

This beer was served cold. The beer was poured into a pub glass.

Appearance: The beer has a clear fizzy yellow coloration. The head is white and short lived. No lacing remains behind on my glass.

Smell: Clean grain aromas.

Taste: Corny cereal flavor no hops detectable.

Mouthfeel/ Drinkability: The beer has a thin body. The carbonation is limp at best. Dam near a drain pour. Just a piss poor beer drinking experience.
