C'mon guys its a blueberry beer. Is it supposed to look good, no. Is it supposed to taste like a belgium or an ipa, no. Its on par with a bud light margarita. If you feel like drinking something a little different, this will fit the bill. If you're looking for that once in a lifetime beer experience, this will not do it for you. For me, today, I'm enjoying the sweet difference that is a cheap blueberry beer.

Beer review notes from 7/13/12: pours blood red to purple color, like a grape ice pop melted, with a 1 finger pink foamy head that faded quickly and left a foamy layer on tap; could be the strangest looking beer that I've ever seen as it looks like a grape soda.

Smells of blueberry, sweet fruit, sugar, grains, artificial sweetening like KoolAide or a wine cooler; not a great smell, too sweet, but not offensive, just oddly sweet and strange.

Tastes of blueberry, sweet fruit like grapes or apple, candy sugar or actual candy like gummy worms, grains, artificial sweetening, yeast and grape juice; this hides the alcohol well but is way too sweet and almost undrinkable.

Mouthfeel is creamy and crisp at the same time, with light carbonation, a light body that is crisp, with a very sweet finish and sugary aftertaste.

Overall this borders on a drain pour as it was not balanced or enjoyable and way too sweet to drink more than one. Basically it was like a cross between a Mad Dog 20/20 and a Grape Nehi and nothing like craft beer. Calling this a "Premium Blueberry Lager" is great marketing, but total BS.

Typically, I would say you get what you pay for, but in this case I was robbed. I saw the label and thought “Flying Dog”. I was horribly wrong. I only HAVE to address the beer categories for this beverage, it doesn’t deserve any. Don't purchase this, you will be sorry.

1. It had the same appearance as Barney the purple dinosaur
2. It smelled similar to "mad dog"
3. It's taste was its least unlikable feature but was like wine cooler mixed with beef broth
4. It had more in common with soda, sweet syrupy no beer feel at all.

I was most disappointed by the price. It had the same price as many good beers that I like, I was foolish for not coming to beer advocate first on this one.

These guys are nuts. While it's not really a beer, it does get the job done with 8% alcohol.

Blueberry soda-pop that isn't too sweet and gives a nice buzz.

Alternating with a nice IPA keeps your taste buds on their toes.

I don't really have anything else to say; the moderator should keep in mind that the first rule of writing is that one should never use two words when one will suffice.

Pours a dark red-purple color with a big pink head.

Aromas begin with artificial blueberry juice/syrup. There is a chemical and wine spritzer thing going on as well.

The tastes begin with powdered sugar sweetness and blueberries (perhaps like blueberry syrup, extra syrup). Some definite alcohol notes too.

The mouthfeel is light bodied with medium to above carbonation. Finish is disgustingly sweet and cloying.

Overall, this may be the worst fruit beer on the planet, period. This beer is beyond cloying and I don't think there's any way I could finish a bottle of this.

12oz bottle from CJ's Potsdam NY for 1.50$

Appearance – Purple/blue colour with an above average size fizzy purple/blue coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation and there is no lacing. The head lasted for around 2 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Grains/wheat, blueberries, corn

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an average amount of carbonation. I can taste grains/bread mixed with blueberries and some corn. There is also a bit of plastic type taste. It ends with a artificial blueberry aftertaste.

Overall - Well, I picked this one up out of curiosity.. it's really bad. Don't bother buying this one.

A: Arrived in a nondescript bottle (notably absent any connection with Busch hmm...). Poured into chilled pint glass the color was reminiscent of McDonald's Grimace. Small frothing blueberry icing colored head that dissipates quickly.

S: Smell was very blueberry-like on top with underpinnings of ethyl alcohol. I like the smell of blueberries so this was the most appealing aspect of the beer.

T: Overly fruity with a Juicy Juice grape taste. Strangely, not much blueberry present. The intense fruit is quickly followed by a grain alcohol taste, the combination of which I can only describe as FourLoco-like. After the first sip the ethyl taste remains the dominant flavor on the tongue.

M: Again, essentially the consistency of juice. No real depth to the feel at all. It allows for quick drinking (if you're into that).
