12 oz. bottle poured into pilsener
(best before Feb. 3, 2018)

L: clear red topped by thick head of beige/tan foam about an inch tall and very sticky; plenty of activity in glass keeps a 1/4-inch thick skin of foam that laces some

S: corn syrup, almost a malt liquor-fuel aroma and lots of toasted malt ... toasted grain

T: light molasses, toasted malt flavors have a corn leaning, again almost like corn syrup; lots of earthy/medicinal flavor, a mix of dirt hops and raw alcohol; floral hop flavor, very American pale ale-like

F: simple, heavier than lightweight but not by much, fluffy carbonation

O: reminds me of a scaled-back American strong ale, not nearly as hoppy but heading in that direction with the load of malt pushing in a lot of flavor; unfortunately right now it has a strong medicinal flavor/alcohol burn to it, but that's possibly my jacked-up palate from a recent cold messing with me and not the beer's fault; there are other amber lagers I like better, but this is very well made and worth the look ... a friend gifted me three bottles, and this is my second ... I'm saving the third for when I'm 100% cold free to give it fuller, fairer shake

Budweiser 1933 Repeal Reserve Amber Lager has a thick, red-beige head, a clear, bubbly, red-amber appearance, and heavy lacing left on the glass. Aroma is of toasted malt, sweetness, and brown bread crust. Taste is of sharp, sweet, toasted bread crust, with even some slight spiced bread. Mouthfeel is high medium, with a some viscosity, and Budweiser Amber Lager finishes leaning towards crisp and easy drinking.

If you didn't know this was a Budweiser you would think it was a microbrewed craft beer. Good smooth Carmel malt flavor but not too sweet. Well balanced with hop which you can slightly taste but is a malt forward beer. Best beer by AB yet! Think they're stepping up their game with this one!

In short, this is a flavorful and delicious new beer. This Amber Lager has a smooth mouthfeel, a gorgeous off-white head of foam and beautiful amber liquid color, a hop note on the nose, roasted malt taste with a hint of caramel, and a slightly bitter end. Finishes clean. Will buy again!

A - gotta give it to Bud on this one. The packaging is badass. Nice amber orange-red colored beer that's clear with a light tan head.
S @ grassy, piney hops, caramel malt, almost a slight smokiness? Maybe it's the roasted malts. I swear it it has this good old musty smell but it's probably just me.
T # nice grassy, piney hops with a caramel malt background. Not bland by any means. Little bit of roastinesss.
M & light mouthfeel. Alc covered. Aftertaste is grassy hops.
O ! Good beer. Got a sixer. Could have done with just the one bottle but they're good enough to finish the six pack.

Really great looking Amber Liquid. Cool packaging with heritage story tied to Budweiser. Aromatic head of foam, with a mouth experience that starts out hoppy but finishes smooth and crisp. I could drink this all day. Well done Budweiser!

Best by January 18th 2018.

It pours a lovely clear deep amber, small head of foam, nice lacing.

Smells of caramel malt, toasted malt, bits of grass. The sweet notes are almost fruit like.

Caramel and toasted malt up front, mild sweetness, hops don't seem to be grassy; more like herbal with a touch of spice.

Mouthfeel is super smooth.

Delicious Amber Lager!

Pours a very nice red with thick tan head and amazing lacing. The head on this beer remained almost entire time. Smells of malt, corn, and caramel. The taste is actually very nice, I did not expect such a decent beer but this was a good lager, malty, bitter and sweet smoothness, it was a very well made beer. Cheers to Bud, I like this one.

A truly horrid beer. So bad that it inspired me to register for this site to tell others.
The look is ok. It has a nice color. The carbonation was a bit odd. It seemed to have Larger bubbles.
It smells a bit off. Not toilet water, but that same-same smell we all know from Bud and other low-end beers.
The taste is just plain nasty. If you think you're getting a micro-brew on the cheap you're wrong. It is exactly the same bad taste as normal low end beer but concentrated. I think the exact same flavor could be achieved by removing 1/3 of the water from regular bud.
The lower feel rating is because I found the carbonation slightly off-putting.

Beautiful looking beer . Has a rich, deep amber color. Off white head. Just pretty to look at.

Sweet caramel malt smell,

The taste is sweet, malty and satisfying.

Mouthfeel and carbonation remind me of plain old Budweiser.

This Amber lager is very similar to Oktoberfests. If you like Marzens and if you like Bud this will be your beer.

A crystal clear deep amber with a finger of foam that settles slowly. Leaves a nice lacing down the glass. The aroma is sweet, caramel, and toasted bread. The flavor is overall sweet, but, not obnoxiously so. Again, toast, and caramel malt, and I don't pick up any distinct hop flavor or aroma, (earthy, grassy, citrus, etc...) The feel is medium body, dry, but, a little sticky, and well carbonated. Overall, if you like a bit of sweetness, no real bitterness, and a nice caramel flavor, then this might be just what you want to pick up.

Pours amber with dark ruby undertones. A slightly off-white colored head that reduces to coating around the outside of the glass.

Aroma is primarily sweet. Some berry notes, corn, sweet malt, and a herbal hop character.

The taste is like a beefed up bud. More sweet malt and even a kiss of hops. However, this beer does still scream of Budweiser. Malty and pretty sweet up front. A slightly astringent but mild bite of earthy hops, which transitions away to a watery finish. No after taste at all.... its like: did I just have a sip of beer or water? This can be viewed as a good or bad thing, depending on the reason for consumption.

Overall, the beer is defiantly a step up from basic bud, but there are probably a million other and better options available within the same category. This is a unique gimmick that got me to spend my money on it. I do dig the bottle design though. Great marketing. It pairs well with bar food. It gets a 67.5/100.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 1/18/2018. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper/amber color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, roast, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, roast, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with no yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.1%. Overall this a really good American style amber lager. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter finish. Nicely rich and complex crystal, Munich, and mild roasted malt character; and just enough hop character to balance the sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Not terrible. Astringent aftertaste ruined it for me. Not something I will buy again. Not worth a full review really but I saw a lot of love for it here and felt I needed to weigh in. It is nothing special

Very well done beer by AB. Great packaging for the six pack love the look it's vintage yet unique. The beer comes out in a auburn red look to it. Good head to the beer. Caramel roasty taste to it. Just looks real pretty.Did not get much of a smell but a slight caramel smell to beer. Must say it was a great beer. I am not a fan of AB I used to drink Budweiser back in the day when I was in young 20s I truly hate Bud Light but this is a great beer and AB really impressed me.

Despite having some promising qualities, this is Budweiser through and through. Light on body and limp on taste, no aftertaste and nothing to keep you wanting more

Very good beer. Color is great, head meh-creamy but didn't last too long. Initial split second is nice then 'bam' hop hit bitter but finish is smooooth with mild hop 'echo'...

Rating the retro packaging/marketing - give that a 5 (it's what got my attention).

Nice, flavorful beer. Not an everyday pick, but I'm glad that I tried it. It started out at 8.99 a six-pack in this market, I picked it up for two bucks cheaper after about three weeks. Better than most red lagers I've tried. and packs a punch.

12 oz bottle in Tennessee; repeated in Feb. 2018 in ATL.
A "special" beer for Thanksgiving. Not bad and certainly better than regular Bud. This has moderately strong flavor, more from malts than hops. Mildly bitter.

Stomach-churningly sweet. Just nasty. Terrible to drink, but fantastic to rinse your hair with or treat a stubborn case of athlete’s foot.
