Wow, I really came in at the wire on this one! I bought the CAN in the approved pic at the FGBS & brought it home that evening for a pic, resizing & approval & once that was acCANplished, I added the beer to the database. It shows that the first review (sorry, but rating-only doesn't do it for me) was the following day! Man, you gotta move fast in this day & age! Well, I will proudly be the first to do a side-by-side/back-to-back review, CANparing both CAN & bottle.

From the bottle: "Brewed with real orange peels"; "This is the famous Bud Light Orange. Made with essential ingredients and brewed with real orange peels to unlock a new way to taste refreshment - clean and crisp, with a real twist. Our process produces a light-bodied lager with natural citrus flavor, fresh taste, and smooth drinkability in every sip."; "Refreshment with a twist".

Why bottle-first? Because a) they put it in a clear bottle & b) I want to give bottle a ChANce. If I reviewed CAN first, it might color my judgement. No need for a Crack, a Glug or even a Pop! as they put this beer in a screwed-up screw-top bottle. Yer almost eliminated coming outta the gate, jagovs! It came outta the bottle's gate in one quick hurry, forming a finger of fizzy, foamy, bone-white head that seemingly could not wait to fade into eternity. Color was a bright Gold (SRM = 5), with NE-quality clarity, enticing The Gelt Gang of Mammon, Midas & Croesus to drop by for a taste! Have at it, boys. BTW, I know that "bright" & NE-quality clarity are interchangeable, but with the sun still shining, this one seemed to glow like the secret in the box/briefcase in both "Kiss Me Deadly" & "Pulp Fiction". Eek! Nose smelled like Orange pop, specifically, Sunkist. Hmm. Well, at least it smelled better than silage. This = damning with faint praise. It also reminded me of the citrus-based solvents that replaced the highly hazardous chemical solvents back in the late-1980s/early-1990s. Yeah, they required a little more elbow grease, but you didn't need to wear an air filter while using them, either. Mouthfeel was thin & watery & getting back to pop, I have had sodas with greater presence. The taste was orange-y, not totally orange, like they worked some artificial chemical flavoring magic in there. It was not unpleasant, but it was also not purely orange, peels or not. From their (scary) website: "Ingredients: Water; Barley Malt; Corn or Rice; Hop Extract; High Fructose Corn Syrup; Citric Acid; Natural Flavors, Orange Peel". Why "scary"? I was amazed at how many brands they own! It was also the mention of "Natural Flavors" that puts me off. So what if they are Natural vs "Artificial"? This is a USDA shuck! It's ALL out of a Chem lab! Grr. Finish was semi-dry, refreshing, but kind of unmemorable & unobtrusive. Man, throw this in a slushy machine & sell it to that crowd! This was $ up in smoke!

Next up, our challenger, the CAN! Weighing in at a whopping 25-fl. oz, this bad boy wants to make his presence known!

From the (gigantor) CAN: ""This is the famous Bud Light Orange. Made with essential ingredients and brewed with real orange peels to unlock a new way to taste refreshment - clean and crisp, with a real twist. Our process produces a light-bodied lager with natural citrus flavor, fresh taste, and smooth drinkability in every sip."; "Refreshment with a twist"; "Light Lager brewed with real orange peels with natural citrus flavors".

This juggernaut actually fought me on the Crack! Hey, what was to be expected from a goliath like this? F'n' hulk of a CAN, 'm tellin' ya! It was a real abomination. My finger was thor afterwards, but I am not known as an iron man for nothing! I marveled at it all. Enough! I will avenge the previous bottle review with this CAN! I swung the crane boom around & beCAN the Glug at whatever speed I could CANtrol. It came rushing out, filling the glass & generating two-plus fingers of fizzy, foamy, bone-white head, but with slightly better retention than out of the bottle, before becoming wisps. Color was Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a faint orange CANdy-like sweetness, like Pixie Stix. Hmm. It was not as pronounced as from the bottle, but it was still something out of a Chem lab. Mouthfeel was really watery in this instance. Man, it was just as thin as Twiggy! The taste was slightly more orange-ish than from the bottle, but it was not going to fool anybody with that "real orange peel" jive, either. So what? We used to have Orange Pekoe tea with homemade stir-fry when I was a kid & it tasted more orange than this! Baby, this was simply another attempt by The Man to keep us soul CANsters down, dig? They weren't pulling the wool over my eyes. This was the same old, same old with a new twist. The orange flavor was just this side of outright artificial. Finish was semi-dry, semi-refreshing & wholly a waste. YMMV.

Bottle vs. CAN: Pretty close to a draw with a slight edge to bottle. Different batches?

Bud Light Orange is essentially the orange equivalent of Bud Light Lime. Those looking for a cheap beer with some flavor should be pleased, especially if you enjoy orange.

Look: The bottle is bland overall, with the unpeeling orange being the characteristic that lifts the rating a bit. The lacing of foam is minimal and the beer is a golden orange.

Smell: Definitely smells sweet, resembling Leinenkugel's Orange Shandy. The primary difference is that this is less complex, with a smell that is almost exclusively Orange. Smells mostly artificial, like candy orange slices.

Taste: This is what matters most. The taste is surprisingly solid, though, I can understand why someone who appreciates complex beers could dislike this. It's a simple, yet tasty fruit beer that most would be embarrassed to like (like the Coors Radler). The taste is candy orange/orange Powerade/Crush soda.

Feel: Bubbly to an extent, but falls short of a "soda" feel. It's pretty thin, but light and extremely drinkable without feeling weighed down.

Overall: This beer has its flaws, for sure, but if you're a sucker for sweet wines, fruit beers, and you're not looking to spend $15-20 for a 12 pack, I would recommend it. If you like dark beers or drinking pine trees, stay far away.

Pours way too clear, not even golden. Smells like Orangina soda and wet popcorn. Taste is artificial. Feels well balanced for this beer.Overall would be OK if I was stuck somewhere with no other options.

This is by far Budweiser’s best beer. It’s not the best beer ever, but compared to Budweiser or Bud Light it is amazing LOL

This is a great summer beer. It does have a strong orange flavor leaning towards a bit sweet. It feels light and refreshing on the tongue. It isn't quite as heavy as a shandy. I like this beer a lot because it is as advertised a refreshing beer great for the summer.

good heavens this is a poor offering. i get the lime one, it makes some sense with the corona thing, but this seems cheap, reaching, and more like soda than beer. its fake orange color like the soda, and in a clear bottle, maybe marketing to kids? didnt big tobacco get in trouble for that? this seems on the precipice of something similar. the orange is not an accent flavor here, its the only flavor, somewhat chemical and candy-like to me when i smell it, straight orange fanta when i taste it, loaded with residual sugar and totally covering up any beery elements. if you can taste any grain, hops, or yeast at all in this, you have a better palate than me! its all obscured by the intense plastic orange, and feels thick, not light to me when i hold it in my mouth. carbonation is fine, it needs to be, this drinks like a soda and part of one is plenty for me. im sure this will find its audience, square peg round hole marketing always has its suckers, but i cant see this one sticking around long, its hardly beer at all. pack your insulin shots...

1 PINT 9 FL. OZ. can
Served in nonic glass

This beer pours a brilliant golden color and is topped with a fleeting off white head.

It smells like a fresh cut orange.

There is so much orange in the flavor that it tastes like a shandy or radler.

Thin mouthfeel

It is pretty daggum refreshing after an 11 hour workday.

Tall can:

Pours orange amber. Thin head leaves a little lacing.

Smells of orange.

Tastes of orange that has a hint of tangerine.
The orange flavor dominates.

It's a typical light beer with orange...better than Bud Light or Bud Light Lime, IMO

This beer is exceptional. As someone who despises bud light.. I decided to try it. It has a very strong orange flavor but still a beer taste. The color is orangish as well and does separate itself from the likes of BL BLL and BLP. IMO this is the perfect beer for a easy going summer beer.

Bud Light Orange brewed by Anheuser-Busch, with an ABV of 4.20% This Light Brew pours out a nice light amber color with a small white head. The head goes away fast, an there is thin mirror lacing to this brew. The smell is rich with orange and other citrus flavors. Kinda reminds me of Sunny D, not saying that is a bad thing. You also pick up on grains and malts in the smell as well. Now for the taste, it is sweet with orange/Sunny D flavors. I will give it this , it is refreshing. This brew would go nice on a hot summer day. There is nothing overpowering about this brew it has a super nice balance to it. Really easy drinking brew. The body of Bud Light Orange is a light medium. This Bud light is more enjoyable than the Bud Light Lime. If you are a fan of orange or Sunny D you should look this brew up. The mouth feel of Bud Light Orange is Light, Clean, Smooth, Orange, and Refreshing. For what it worth, we know what we are getting into when you pop a top on one of these. Overall I'm going to give this brew a 3.25 out of 5. I would look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Not the best but not the worst. Something different to change it up.

As a long-time craft beer aficionado, one who's never one to turn down a double IPA or giant, Russian stout, my palate is obviously far too sophisticated to...to...

Oh, wait, this is actually kind of tasty. Lots of orange in the smell and the taste. Huh, where did that can go? I just poured it a minute ago. And why do I keep picking up six packs of this stuff every time I'm at the store? I'm a BEER SNOB DAD GUMMIT! I'll not have the likes of this mass-produced swill befouling my refrigerator!

So why do I keep buying it? Answer me?! Why did I ever try it to begin with?

Why is it so gooooood??
