this is actually better than bud light lime, and the cactus isnt as chemical tasting as my instincts told me it would be. i hate the clear bottle, but when ice cold, the first few pulls from it are extremely refreshing, which is as probably more a testament to the mouthfeel than the flavor, this has absolutely gushing carbonation and a super light and dry body, even with the additives. its gone the second i swallow it, and there really arent any off flavors when its freezing cold. i see why they market these ultra beers to athletes, its more refreshing than a gatorade. the lime is a little fake tasting to me, it had to be right? but the were wise to not overdose it like crazy, especially with such an inconsequential grain base in here. the cactus is light but makes this floral and interesting, and it works with the lime. as much soda as beer i suppose at this point, it could use even a little bit of hops to crisp and beer it up in the finish. after one, the flavor became a little plastic to me, and the rate of diminishing marginal refreshment after one is extremely high. serves a purpose i guess, but this cant pass as even pseudo craft, although the first chug did hit the spot...

If you're a snob, do not drink. But it's a good mellow beer, inoffensive in character, easy and crisp, and above all: low calorie. Pretty much no head retention though.

12 oz. can poured into tight nonic
(June 19, 2017 born-on date)

L: white-yellow, crystal clear, lightest beer I've seen with SRM about 0.5; no sticking, just hints of lacing; keeps a tidy white collar

S: lime soda; lemon-lime soda; smells like high fructose syrup

T: lime water; about 1/3 in as it warms and your palate adjusts, becomes more like lime soda (flavor intensifies a hair)

F: light and crisp, loads of carbonation yet not overly sharp, just a tad;

O: worse than water; no B.S. — I would rather drink water and save my ABV room for later, even if "later" meant another day; it's only saving grace is that the more you drink it, the more the lime flavor builds, though that flavor note comes off so artificial that you wonder if this beer, advertised as being a "healthy" option, is truly healthy or full of the processed/artificial stuff a healthy consumer is supposed to avoid

Pours a clear straw color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and slight lacing. Smells of lime, pale malt, adjunct, and slight floral notes. Fits the style of a Light Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong lime, pale malt, adjunct, and slight grassy/floral notes. Overall, light, citrus mask adjunct flavors, doesn't resemble beer really.

This had an extremely light color and had a faint taste of lime. It smelled pretty good and the taste reminded me of lime seltzer. Due to that it was pretty smooth but certainly not something I would try again.

A strong twang, with a smooth watery after taste. Could be better.

From notes taken 12/01/16:

Clear straw gold, extra pale. White half-fizzy head of moderate retention. Smells like a shandy, hints of lime juice. Lime juice is more distinct but less strong on palate. Prickly pear or similar cactus could be there somewhere, I suppose. I mean there’s a slight cucumber taste to it. But really the only other detectable quality is a lightly grassy/bready basic lager. Not even any hops to speak of, it’s all lost in the lime if anything. It’s okay on its own, would be better with some chips and salsa. Light-bodied, spritzy as can be.

Pours a light yellow with almost no head at all. Smell and taste is sweet ( must be the cactus) a little hint of lime but well hidden. Mouthful is too watery for me. Overall not a bad drink but not one I would really want again.

Drank straight from the bottle at friends house. This beer was light and refreshing and surprisingly the lime addition worked fine in this beer. Could have had a few more with no trouble thanks to the light ABV.

Lime cactus pours a copper color with little head. Aroma is lime and fake. Taste is fake chemically with hints of lime. Flat. Overall not good.
