Crystal clear pale straw color with a decent sized bubbly white head that slowly recedes leaving minimal lace. Aromas of light coarse grain light green apple and a moderate spicy floral hop. The flavor is a light sweet honey like bready maltiness. Just enough spicy hop to counter the sweetness and light hop bitterness. Light body with moderate level of carbonation and a slick sharp mouthfeel. Quite a contrast from the PBR. This is lighter and less sweet but still falls well into the style guide.

12oz bottle into a pint glass

A: Crystal clear light yellow with 1 fingers width of white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles but head still dissipates down quickly. Leaves only the faintest patches of pacing.

S: Adjunct / rice like aromas, sweetness, subtle floral notes are the only hop characters I get. Simple and obviously not great, but honestly the aroma is actually pretty hood for an AAL.

T: Adjunct flavors, sweet malts, some hop spice. Starts off solid but gets worse as it warms.

M/D: Medium body, heavy carbonation, surprisingly filling which I think is at least partially due to the high carbonation. Drinkability is average.

O: AAL, they are what we thought they were. But for a horrible style, this is actually one of the best of the bunch. Not something Id choose to buy (only have this cause it was a left over of a six pack I bought for my dad), but if you have to have an AAL you could certainly choose worse.

Really nice pour, decent head, though it went away quickly.

Smell: a bit sweet, beery, not very complex. Negative connotations with stale beer and cleaning up after parties.

Mouth feel: crisp, clean, not much carbonation.

Taste: simple, little bit of malt, mostly taste the rice. No detectable bitterness

Finish: beery after taste, not unpleasant, but not great

Overall, much better than I expected. Obviously not very complex, but OK.
