Sort of similar to Bud Ice, part flavorless and the added other part nasty/corrosive heat. All around headache inducing, one and won't ever have again.

I really can't believe I never reviewed this before. I even more so can't believe I'm bothering to rectify that now... Pours a handsome straw with a big head that dies mega-fast. Nose is basically a mixture of corn and urine. Heavy adjunct flavor, dry and sawdust in the mouth at the finish. Texture is mercifully heavily carbonated. Not at all good, but a little more drinkable than the sum of its parts might suggest. Still, super bad.

Hello gang, it's the Kernell again.
Gentlemen, I'm not going to p#$$& foot around here and tell you this beer is the answer to your prayers, hell I can't even tell you that god exists, but what I can tell you without a shred of doubt is that if you need to get drunk ( and I mean you NEED to) this beer comes thru in the clutch. It pours like any other cheap beer, piss yellow and a "sea foam" head, it smells like sweet yeast and bread (kinda) and it tastes like Natty Light only a little sweeter which I'm assuming is there to cover up the 5.9% ABV. It's the beer you imagine your uncle taking to the stock-car races on the weekend in their Winnebago to get drunk on and plow race track floozies, and they will because this beer makes the impossible happen. Its dirt cheap, it drinks like old Natty and it comes in a can that has the colors of "Old Glory" herself, this beer is the embodiment of the American Spirit; fast, rough, and a little trashy but I'll be god d@#ned if it doesn't get the job done.

Exactly what you would expect from a decent lager as far as the looks are concerned. Crisp golden color with a frothy eggshell colored head that lingers. Smell is primarily of corn, faint hints of something akin to banana runts candy, and bread. Taste follows the nose, not a huge blast of flavor but it's more than the average light lager for sure. Mostly sweet and bready, but the banana note is there as a pleasant surprise. The feel is exactly what one would expect, crisp, watery, and refreshing. Overall, not bad for what it is, and a step above the rest perhaps.

A - not pouring it but i already know what it looks like --> AAL
S - big bready notes, plain american hops, light malts
T - bready, definite hop character but its very light, light malts, very "clean" or what i would think peoplr would say was "smooth"
M - light mf, alc covered, aftertaste is light malt and corn
O - solid light drinking beer

Sweet grain light clean bitterness, but other than that it's pretty watery. I'm honestly enjoying it quite a bit though. It's super refreshing and awesome after a long week at work. One of the few college beers I'm enjoying more now.

Very light golden color with a dense head of bubbles with just a bit of an off white appearance. Decent but not crazy amounts of streaming bubbles. Actually left lacing down my glass.
Smell is very light and bready. Just a hint of sweetness in the smell which seems nice as it is not as strong as some adjuncts.
I like the taste of this one! The 5.9% ABV is almost completely completely masked with just a touch of warming on the tongue. The taste is clean and malt driven with a nice balance of hops. I mean you cannot really pick up on the hops but it is a symbiotic balance that brings out a clean beer taste.
Mouth feel is actually quite light and refreshing with a full beer taste that snaps off crisply. If that makes any sense at all.
This beer has a lot going for it which actually scares me to like something from the Anheuser-Busch side of the fence. Longtime Coors-Miller fan here. One note is to serve this beer cold because that is the way it wants to be served. Also check out the crazy prices on this bargain basement beer, I think I was just over 15 dollars for a 30 pack. And I will buy this again!

Smells absolutely wonderful. It smells like bread, and kind of sweet. Absolutely cheap, I don't know why people try comparing this to craft. or review it like craft. That is totally missing the point of this dirt cheap lager. with the style, namely Ice Beers, i would put this above bud, and at or below busch ice. Getting into the review.
Look is yellow, typical of the style. Smell, is sweet, and a lot like bread. Taste, is some corn, and Bread like sweetness. Honestly for the price, you cannot go wrong for a party beer. If you drink light beer, and are wanting to take beer a step up, go with this. keep in mind this may set you on your ass pretty quickly as well. tallboy + almost 6abv slamming it, will sit you down pretty quick if you are used to Light beer. Personally my favorite attribute is the taste, its pretty clean, with your ice beer finish. It isn't terrible, if you give it a chance, and you aren't a beer snob per-say. Essentially, if you like Adjuncts, this one is worth a go. If you don't like the style, it isn't for you. I have memories with this one though, namely Country parties, and beer pong. so i cannot hate on it too much. if you hate light beer, but want something cheap like light beer, this may be the way to go. I cannot justify paying 22 dollars for bud light 30 rack when this costs almost nothing compared, and at least has flavor. It all comes down to personal preference.

I'm sorry I'm no beer snob, but this is just sugar poison. I don't over look macro ice lager, but this crap is crap. When I drink it I feel the need to spit constantly, never get that from decent beer. I can drink crappy beer and some awful liquor no problem, I have an extremely strong stomach. This is awful poison garbage, I hate to do that to any beer.....

Don't know how it pours. I drank it straight from the bottle. The taste is almost as good as anything else out there. ( Heineken's my fav. though, but costs twice as much!) It has 5.9% alcohol so gives you plenty of bang for the buck. This is pretty good, plus the cheapest price out there...I'm all for it! I don't know why it got such low ratings!

Look: It doesn't have a really distinctive look. Kind of bland.
Smell: I like beer that smells like grain/corn. I know it is weird but that is my thing. Very good smell to me.
Taste: Very drinkable when cold.
Feel: Fizzy like soda pop
This isn't the best beer; however, it is really affordable where I live. I can get a case for less than twenty dollars. This makes it my go to since I am on a budget.

Better piss water than the other piss waters. Tried to grapefruit it for flavor. Mixed results. Why can't the big brewer bury the little guys by making one quality beer and demolish the little guys. Cause the bean counters won't let them.

There's a strong, grainy smell when you first crack open a can, with just a little alcohol following it. Not the most appetizing smell, but certainly not a deal breaker.

Pretty much the same when it comes to taste. Carbonated bread water, with a slight taste of alcohol if you pay too much attention, which you really shouldn't be when drinking Natty Ice. What flavor there is is just fine, as long as you drink it before it warms up. Warm Natty Ice takes on a vague, not-so-appealing sweetness when warm. Best to avoid that

It's not too carbonated either. I hate the overly carbonated nature of most budget beers. This one avoids that issue, making it pretty easy to chug, if you so desire.

Not much flavor, not much smell, but it goes down just fine. The high ABV/dollar ratio makes this beer really stand out for me. It's one of the cheapest ($15-$18 for a 30 pack around here), but it's much nicer than other similarly priced options.

Woof, that is a harsh appearance, concentrated urine, iced, to remove the excess water. Can't form/sustain a head. Aroma was alcohol and metal.

A sweeter edge, corn like. Bitter paired not with hop flavor, but just a long boil of high alpha acid stuff. Everything below average here. At least there is enough alcohol that it isn't like you're drinking a ton of water compared to the light versions.

Serving: Can, from the can, unless in pong cups
Served: Parties in undergrad

The last of the cheap-ass brews that slipped through the review process for unknown reasons. This one is Budweiser's high-octane cousin, and was always fun to pull out when the rest of the beer was lower ABV stuff. Made pong more fun for sure.

Pours essentially with the same character as regular natty- light yellow with a pillowy head that collapses on itself as soon as you finish pouring. Light grain scent, very sweet, very traditionally "beery". Drank ice cold, it doesn't taste like much, and any warmer and weird earthy notes come out. Very highly carbonated makes it easy to smash. Overall, a great beer when you want to get krunk and have more fun, faster, than you would with PBR, Keystone, regular Natty, etc. Best served ice cold in a college basement.

Budget beer for the buzz enthusiast

Light color, fairly full taste for the style, the ABV will sneak up on 'ya (it does on me) and best consumed very cold. As it warms an undesirable off putting sweetness creeps in. If the budget is tight this one's for you, to coin a phrase.

Low cost, high effect, could do worse.

Great beer if you don't want to share, because nobody will ask you for one. This beer serves one purpose and thats to get you drunk. Hangover isn't as bad as eveyone says, all this is, is a higher octane budweiser. Rice beer lives here

From the large can, it pours golden with a small head, diminishing rapidly to a ring around the top. A steady stream of bubbles comes from the bottom. Light scent of grain. Light taste of grain. Great on a hot day after mowing the lawn.

25oz can, imperial pint glass.

A: Pours an extremely light shade of yellow with a very active and fizzy bright white head. Very watery and light looking, as expected. The head frothed up a few inches after a rough pour, but quickly subsided leaving a thin, wispy collar.
S: Not much of a nose. I get mostly “wet”, with a few notes of grainy adjuncts. There is also a light but very strange hint of synthetically sweet grape jelly or maybe nyquill.
T: Very light with just hints of adjunct grains. I still get that weird sugary “grape” flavor in the finish, although the flavor itself is not sweet. Water overall.
M: Super light, very carbonated, extremely water. Not hard to drink, although be prepared to burp a lot.
O: I'm always on the look out for a new cheap liquor store beer to go with my take out,but out of all the swill that I’ve tried, this one is definitely near the bottom. Extremely watery, and what flavors are there and off-putting. Definitely a step below the typical level light adjunct lagers. Can’t be the price per ounce though! Still, for a few pennies more I'd rather get something that still has no flavor, but is not off-putting. I will say though, I am very impressed they managed to pack almost 6% abv into something that has this little flavor or character.

Pours a transparent golden color with quickly fading foam. Looks nice for about a second. You can smell a hint of muddled malt - very light nose. Flavor hits you with caramel malt with a touch of cider and breadiness - no hops found. Finish is a strange booziness. All these flavors are very light. Not a good beer, but not terrible. I would drink this at gun point, I would also drink my own urine at gunpoint.

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that quickly died down, leaving specks of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of corn adjuncts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of corn adjuncts and nondescript malts. There is a slight amount of sweetness and a faint amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light-bodied, clean, and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a nice mouthfeel for an adjunct lager but otherwise isn't overly impressive from a smell or taste perspective.

(12 oz can, poured into a wine glass)

L: crystal-clear, very pale gold liquid... pours about a finger-width head that collapses within a couple minutes

S: faint hard candy sugar sweetness... almost a citrus pith or oil far in the background... the aforementioned 'sweetness' suggests it will taste like a malt liquor... an overall weak scent - gotta shove your nose down in there to get a hint... little bit of piss pants in the back end

T: some of that malt liquor flavor up front, but it immediately drops out relatively dry... again, some of that strange citrusy acid on the outer edges and back of the palate in the finish; it later fades away... the malt flavor overall is super thin, with a mellow bitterness and a decidedly watery finish - maybe I got a can with extra ice crystals in it... no real flaws or off-putting flavors to speak of... neutral, bland

F: a tad glassy-slick in the flow and arguably mildly thin and watery in the finish... very very faint bit of alcohol heat builds up in the back of the palate

O: this is certainly a stand-out, noteworthy beer in that it seems to straddle the border between AAL and malt liquor... I would argue this beer is quite a brewing achievement - one of the most flavor-mute malt beverages I've ever tried... but it's soooo smooth!

That's right. This beer gets the highest marks all around. It's $1.42 per 40 ounce bottle here and I prefer it to any other "cheap beer" and a lot of the more "spendy" beers on the shelves. I have indeed tried them all. It's like a sore dick. You can't beat it.

I prefer heavy beers like ice over light beers, this is becuase while most belive you consume less calories in light beer, that is not true becuase you usaly have to drink twice as mutch and therefore spend twice as mutch and end up with same amount of calories. I buy this beer typicaly when it is on sale in 12 packs which is more rare then used to be.

at 5.9 alcohal per volume it gets the job done in a 12 pack, and gose down smoother for a average anheuser busch beer. when not on sale i would prefer to spend the extra 2$ for something of slightly higher quality. it smells allright unlike alot of cheap beers. the look is the typical look of a AB beer.
