Shock Top Wheat IPA is no traditional beer. It’s a unique hybrid that combines the fresh flavor and smoothness of wheat beer with the crisp hop bitterness of an IPA. The result is a beer that is truly like no other.
To serve, pour down the side of the glass until a half inch is left in the bottle. Swirl the remaining brew and pour to produce a rich, thick collar of foam that releases the citrusy Cascade hop aroma.

Appearance - Pours a hazy, orange-ish amber with an off-white, finger width head. Decent retention. Thin, spotty lacing.
Smell - Aroma consists mainly of strong wheat notes, behind this a bouquet of citrus character and a touch of milkiness.
Taste - Wheat, corriander, and a trainwreck. The little bit of citrus hop bitterness this brew provides completely clashes with the witbier elements. The finish, like most all the Shock Top line, is a vacant, hollow shell of flavor. Finishes with a touch of heat... at 5.8%?
Mouthfeel - Light in body, with a fair amount of carbonation. A touch watery on the back end.
Overall - IPA? What a joke. I've had brown ales with more hop character than this. Just another beer trying to cash in on the IPA trend. This is the last of the Shock Top I'm ever trying. I can't do this to myself anymore. I expect them to be bad, and they're even worse than the already low expectations I have for them.

From a 12 ounce can, this was better than I expected. It is a cloudy straw color with a medium head. The smell is a little faint, but has hints of hops and fruit. The taste is slightly sweet, with a little yeast and fruit. Hops are present, but the bitterness is subdued and it's not what I would call and IPA. Medium in body. It is notable for the wheat, but not the hops. Okay.

Meh, not inspiring but is OK if it is cold enough.
