Smells like a margarita, but doesn't quite have the taste of one, as the lime is somewhat front and center, but battling with other tastes for top spot. Feels slick on the tongue. The booze is mostly hidden here, but you'll get to taste it soon enough. I wouldn't have this again.

Color on the pour seems to be a hazy yellow with no head at all.
Smell is malty lime. Does that make sense? Like lots of lime with some really sweet white bread smells. Not bad but a bit odd.
Taste is kind of a medicinal malty lime. Again a bit odd, right?
Mouth feel is sticky tangy sour and sweet. A lot going on here, right. Lots of bubbles still popping in the back of the mouth and throat after the taste. Kind of fun. Like Pop Rocks.
Overall this is an over priced product. I love that this is a Bud light product! I do not like a lot of the Bud line up starting with the signature Bud let alone the crap Bud Light. Yet this seems to laugh in the face of the Bud Light. Artificial flavor, huge ABV and nowhere light in the mouth feel. I really have to rate this well for kind of kicking a lot of Bud norms to the curb. And I do apologize to regular Bud drinkers. Carry on and Cheers! Drink what makes you happy! Do not let some one else tell you what to drink!

(25 oz can, 19089; 'contains alcohol'; purchased cold... poured into a 28 oz mug)

L: cloudy, jade(?)-yellow liquid; foam on pour, quickly collapses to nothing, persistent activity of bubbles rising

S: smells shooting out as soon as the tab was popped... smells exactly like a blend of margarita mix and 'malt beverage' - enticing, but hardly representative of my beloved malt liquor species

T: margarita mix: sweet, but not sickly so... the background/base is certainly malty, no doubt (and no doubt artificially enhanced with the added sugars), but its definition is obscured... rather flavorful; faint vinyl pool liner note in the back though... is that bitterness or booze struggling to break out?... a bit cloying, eh?

F: it's not all-out syrupy, but there's definitely a concentrate or two slick-sliding though its core... for 8%, the booze is buried rather well... not laborious to swill; fantastically mellow in its alcohol presence, but nonetheless a tad too weighty

O: I'd been avoiding it, but it was inevitable; a gap-filling review if there ever was one... alcopop all the way; interesting, but not all that bad for what it is (I'll never rid of my sweet tooth or my love of both 'malt beverage' and lime)... I may have said it before, but if slop like this is a 'malt liquor' (and the reasons this is on BA are probably understandable, if debatable), then y'all gotta add my old-school jawn, Smirnoff Ice in somewhere - 'fruit and field beer'??, wink wink (1467)

Lime-A-Rita has a fizzing-away head, a hazy, yellow-gray appearance, and some bubbles. The aroma is of pale malt and spicy fruit or margarita mix. Flavor is similar. This is very sweet, and Lime-A-Rita finishes medium sweet.

Received this as part of a pick your own six for Father's day. I really don't know what this is supposed to be. Not beer not liquor and not good. I see its classified as malt liquor, guess that's as close as anything. The closest thing I could compare the taste to would be a hard lemonade. And I don't like those

24oz can with 18269 stamped on bottom of can poured into Duvel tulip. Presumably that's some sort of date but hard to tell what kind. 18 is probably this year. And it could be 26 day of Sept, or the 269th day of the year which is... holy shoot... Sept 26 as well. Wow. I guess we've narrowed it down by sheer luck. Anyway picked this up at the grocery store. Can is slightly dented so who knows if it'll taste metallic like that usually seems to be the case with dented beer cans. "beer'.

Appearance - Opaque white-yellow body. Something like coconut milk with pineapple juice. Very, very little white head that dissipates almost instantly. Basically expected behavior for any drink that contains any amount of salt, which I presume this does. 3.5

Smell - Strong lime and perfume. A weird scent that is presumably actual tequila. Bleh. 1.5

Taste - Sweet. Lime. A touch of alcohol. Actually not as bad as I was bracing myself for. Not offensive just not tasty. Tastes like a spiked limeade. 2.5

Mouthfeel - Syrupy up front. A bit dry in the finish. Medium to heavy bodied. A bit effervescent. 2.5

Overall - Definitely can't bring myself to glup this one. It's more of a sipper. But probably a good pick for people who don't actually like beer because this is nothing like one. Never again for me personally. 2.5

This stuff is hard to drink. Let's face it, you aren't here to sip a drink and enjoy it, you're here to catch a buzz. That's why you bought an 8% can of malt liquor that tastes like limes. Luckily after the first one it gets a lot easier, but if you have any kind of blood sugar issues just opt for a vodka soda or something.

8oz canned 2/15/18 poured into a margarita glass at fridge temp 8% ABV. The beer pours slightly hazy and looks just like lime juice. No head, no lacing. The aroma is artificial lime and cough drops with a small sidecar of booze. The flavor is the same oddly artificial lime with some tartness and no trace of barley. Mouthfeel is very thin bodied, lightly carbonated and dry in the finish. Overall, this is not beer. Not in any way, fashion or otherworldly dimension could this be considered beer. I am only reviewing in my quest to get all the bottom 100 list.

Bought a 25oz can from Marukai $2.69
Hazy, light golden color
Light mouthfeel
High carbonation
Sweet lime taste, basically what you expect from a margarita
Overall it is what it says it is. I don't see how it could be called a beer and what Bud Light has to do with it, but if you drink it over crushed ice then it's like a margarita in a can. Without the ice to dilute it it's too sweet. If you feel like having a margarita then this is for you and that is what my rating is based on, over crushed ice. If you want a beer then this is not for you.

Poured from the tiny can, into a Budweiser pilsner glass. Here we go!

Pale dull muted dark straw colored body. Almost a sort of dark straw, and opaque. Fast amouts of cola fine carbonation through the body, bubbling up on the top like soda. Head creation is non existent, off white, soda popping and instant dissolve right out of the can and crackling noise. Not quite margarita looking, or daiquiri, and dull.

Aroma is not too bad for description. Decent lime like cordial aroma and lots of it. Slight very faint herbal and zest tone, but really does flirt with a big soapy character. There's even a touch of basic rock salt to this as well. Decent and basic, but real lime quality this is not.

Palate is quite sweet. Tastes like a basic machine made slushy type quality margarita. Large boozy character in the aftertaste, and strangely a big alcohol kick that just comes really out of nowhere. This is going straight to my head. Sticky simple syrup, and faint basic lime, with quite a bit of alcohol sweetness towards the end.

This comes off as a pour mans daiquiri, but also unfortunately has too much of a noticeable alcohol kick, that it would be hard to get through more than a few of these casually which is what it should be made for. Good concept, but not liking the execution.

Smells like....lime, alot of sugar, and rubbing alcohol, yay me.
This one made my eyes water, immediately hit with rubbing alcohol, limes, and alot of sugar, not in a good way.
Mouthfeel, what mouthfeel is there?
Overall, terrible the lemon is much better.

I don't see why this beer gets such a low score, in my opinion it is in no way displeasing to the taste buds. I don't see why the amount of foam produced when pouring it into a glass is so important, but, whatever... it is in no way bad in my opinion. Perhaps not the greatest beer in the world, but certainly not bad.

The reviews on this page are appalling. Lime-a-Rita is a fine brew. Don't get me wrong, I drink 3 Monts, Captain's Daughter IPA, Sip of Sunshine, Foundation Epiphany IPA, the best that New England has to offer, but you have to rate this drink not as an ale/beer, but as a delicious summery blast of effervescent LUUUURRVVVE to the tasteBUDs.

I'm giving it top marks. I often grab one when I'm picking up something a little more high end. Don't be a snob. It's awesome gear, this.

This... beer? Sure, since it is on here, lets go with beer - This beer pours a dense lime juice green, the color of sink water after just a few dishes. It smells like a margarita - a truly cheap, sickeningly sweet mid-west tex-mex margarita - but a margarita none the less. The flavor is indescribably bad - super sweet fake lime juice - squeezed right out of one of those plastic limes you buy at the grocery store, plus sugar and more sugar. Really is there any point in describing the flavor further. The mouthfeel is like crappy diet soda. Overall this is one of the worst things I have ever attempted to imbibe.

The beverage pours out into a Duvel glass a clear light yellowish green color with very light carbonation and not much head. The thin head disappears almost immediately so there's no lacing to speak of and only minimal bits of liquid on the sides when sipping.

The aromas are dominated by the lime and it is hard to pick out anything else in the background but it isn't all just lime in there. (Could be the Tequila but I've not had a Tequila shot in many years so its hard bo be sure.)

The flavors include lots of sweetness, some lime, a bit of citric tartness, something that may be Tequila flavor and maybe even a hint of salt. There is no bitterness at all.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and there is faint carbonation. The finish is basically the fading of the sweetness but there is no increase in dryness. Towards the end there is an definitely light lime flavor though.

While I don't expect to be having more of this I was surprised at how much like a Margarita it did taste. It is hard to think of this as a malt liquor, rather its a beer cocktail with emphasis on the cocktail. For what it is supposed to be (a simple sweet lime margarita flavored drink) it is pretty good. I can see why it would be popular as summer refreshment among those who've decided, for what ever reason, that they don't like beer. As for myself it provides me with a good reminder of why I gave us drinking sweetened beverages years ago.

Reviewing this beverage is an interesting challenge since the temptation is to compare it to beers rather than rate to style. Hence, across the board average scores. I can't bring myself to score it higher but its equally unfair to penalize it for not being a Duvel or an IPA since neither was the goal in producing this beverage.

Hallow be thy name. This looks like lime and alka seltzer. Smells like garbage and tequila, total bottom shelf stuff.

Taste was vile, how do people drink this? How is this a beer? Nothing in terms of hops, malt, or yeast. Some water. So much carbonation.

Bud Light Lime-A-Rita brewed by Anheuser-Busch, with an ABV of 8.0% This brew pours out a pale yellow/green color.,with a faint white head on top. Has the look of an margarita, more than a brew. Not saying that is a bad thing. The smell of Bud Light Lime-A-Rita is , lime bitterness with some nice sweetness at the end. No hops, grains, or malts in the smell of this brew. Now for the taste, it is a bitter lime with a high sweetness at the end. You can pick up on the 8.0% ABV in this brew. Bud Light Lime A Rita put you in mind you are dirking a margarita. I like how this brew is different from most brews on the market. This is a brew I would buy to change things up. The mouthfeel feel of Bud Light Lime-A-Ritais bold , clean and refreshing. For what worth it an ok drinking brew. Overall I'm giving Bud Light Lime-A-Rita 3.25 out of 5. I would buy this brew again.

Pours a cloudy off-white with a greenish hue. Fake lime dominates the nose and flavor. The body is light and this offering is dangerously drinkable at 8% ABV.

This is very hard to rate because it is not really beer. Rather, I'd call it a malt cocktail.

Possibly the worst 'beer' I have ever had the unfortunate experience of coming across.

One of ugliest human beings of all time brings this to me. The liquid looked like it had alka seltzer in it. A hazy green and white, aspirin decanted and dumped into a solution, no head on it. Turrible. Disgusting gaped out girl is like 'you said you wanted to try it.' Funny, you say that to all the guys.

I explained I figured I'd already be hammered when I tried it, not in a recovery period from the previous weekend.

Aroma of bad tequila margarita. Smelled like it was as strong as shine. Wanted to vomit smelling it. Tasting it. Thinking of it. So much carbonation, like Bud Light. The worst.

Straight out the can, didn't get a look at the color.

Smells of sour mix and lime juice. Basically tastes like a carbonated lime flavored margarita. I get lime but no salt. Sweet as hell, tons of sugar in this. No beer flavor whatsoever.

Good carbonation, thin body.

Overall there's really nothing offensive about this beer. No booze, no off flavors. Although the sweetness can be off-putting if you're not into that sort of thing. I drink this from time to time.

Seriously awful stuff. There's a touch of lime up front, followed by the terrible flavor of Bud Light fighting for breathing room, and finished with a kiss of the world's worst tequila.

At 8%, this clearly exists only to get college students drunk fast and on the cheap. This barely qualifies as a beer, and certainly ranks near the top of the list of brews you should never put into your mouth.
