A: Thick, creamy enduring head. Very dark brown with some hints of red. Chunks of lace and sheeting not uncommon for nitro beers.
S: I tried, but just couldn't pick up an aroma off this beer.
T: Flavor hits with a stronger than expected roastiness with touches of coffee but then retreats quickly. No real surprises in the flavor, but no complexity or depth to the flavor either.
M: Very thin. Far more watery than any nitro I've ever had. Not at all what I was expecting. Ends with a touch of astringency.
D: Goes down smooth, but it's really more of the question of whether I'd want it to. In this case, I wouldn't order another.
Overall: Hard for me to knock Anheuser-Busch for making a stout. I wish they'd try it again, but could certainly take a page or two from some of the Irish Dry Stout brewers. Simply put, this one just doesn't hold a candle to many others that are equally available.
