Angrybabboon is responsible for this bottle. Thanks are conditional.

Appearance: Perfectly clear, like water. A darkish gold, or if you want to push it, a hyper-light amber. Head is bright-white and drops to a small cap in short order. Spotty cap at best. Looks a bit more appealing that their standard fare.

Smell: Sweet caramelized malts. Bread crust, the usual grassy/corny aromas. A bit more malt complexity than expected. A slight toasted edge? Sugary sweet. Pale grains. Some vague banana candy things. Why the weird sugar?

Taste: A brief hint of sugar sweetness up front gives way to a soft overall grainy flavor. Some grass and soft toasted edges. Very mellow. The sweetness comes back on the finish. A small hint of wet wood in the back with a tiny hint of almost floral hops. Carbonated malt syrup...watered down. Inoffensive.

Mouthfeel: Smoother than the standard. Moderate carbonation (yay!) with a medium to light body. Coats the mouth somehow.

Overall: A step in the right direction, but that's not hard when your back is against the wall.

Has about the same appeal as standard Budweiser. There's something to be had here, but they haven't figured it out yet. The increased depth of flavor is unfinished and weak. At least Budweiser is what it is. The crown is black, not by choice, but by neglect.

A - Pours clear yellow with a large frothy white head and loads of carbonation bubbles. Leaves no lacing.

S - Wood, Bready malts, slightly ricey.

T - Predominantly bready up front, followed by a small amount of wood. That's about it.

M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

O - Overall, It was an improvement over it's Project 12 counter-part, but that isn't saying a whole lot.

Purchased, but not by me...12oz bottle into a Sam Smith pint nonic...

A: Clear amber gold; surprisingly better head and retention than any BMC I've seen.

S: Instant sweetness, caramel and brown sugar...hints of something that could be beechwood? Clear malty grain and sweetness, but maybe made more potent by my assumption that this would just be any other Bud.

T: Amped up Bud - clear caramel notes malt, tang of graininess and crisp lager yeast. Clean body, with a hint of an earthy hop spice maybe?

MF: Adequate light/medium body...carbonation is right about where it should be.

O: Surprised; wouldn't buy this one but I'd choose it hands-down over a myriad of other BMC options.
