look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4
Pours a slightly hazy gold with a crazy amount of carbonation and barely a finger of white head that quickly disappears.
The smell is all APPLES! Seriously smells like a caramel granny smith apple.
The taste however goes more towards those packets of apple oatmeal cereal. Not bad at all in this reviewers taste opinion.
The mouth borders on that medium yet actually finishes fairly crisp.
Overall this is a very decent gimmick off shoot of the Shock Top line. I actually find this to be less offensive than other Shock Top off shoots and would not mind purchasing this product again.

had this after a hot day at the lake with the in-laws. It looked very pretty in the glass, but it all went downhill from there.
Smell: tart green apples. OK, what I would expect.
Taste: artifical green apple flavour, like Jolly Rancher candy. If you put this in front of me I wouldn't know what it was - is this a failed infected beer? Is it a dreadfully bad cider? Did someone slip some cough syrup in a macro lager?
The worst part of the experience for me was the way the horrible artificial green apple flavour repeated on me all night until well after 1am.
Dear gods and little fishes, this is dreadful. Don't avoid it, run away from it screaming like it just dropped a bucket of cockroaches in your hair.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.
Look: The beer is the color of cider with a white head. Big chunks of sediment are swirling around, settling to the bottom. A few watery spots of lacing stay on the glass.
Aroma: Syrupy honey crisp apples, apple tart, cider, a slight hint of malts.
Taste: Definitely all apples, everywhere. Syrupy sweet and tart apple, some cinnamon. The finish has some barley or grains reminding me that this is in fact a beer.
Mouthfeel: Very thick and syrupy.
Overall: They got the apple tartness down, but it's brewed with cider and spices, and it tastes like it. Tastes a bit too much like those packages of instant cider that you add hot water to.

Another pleasant surprise from Shock Top. Liked the banana better, but found the apple refreshing, sparkling and fun. Not everything has to be a "great beer of rich complexity", which is a happy discovery.
