This is a solid hefeweizen. Not overabundant on taste but solid on head, colour and carbonation. Quite a bitter taste but not unpleasant. I could easily sit and sink a good few of these but because it feels quite similar to Hoegaarden for me, I'd rather be drinking Hoegaarden, given the choice. I'd definitely still recommend it, though.

Purchased at the LCBO for around $2.70 for a 473ml can. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass.

A- 4.25- Opens well and pours a nice white head that stays a bit. Unfiltered and medium gold color

S- 4.0- Nice typical white bouquet. Coriander as always.

T- 3.75- A bit light on flavor here. Coriander and orange is there but something is missing

M- 4.0- Nice creamy texture here. Very good

O- 4.10- Nice rating for a nice beer. Will buy again for sure and keep as a side door staple in the fridge rotation

Food Pairing

This nice white beer goes well with anything you would pickup a white for. Not a Hoegaarden but good

Enjoy!

A well-balanced wheat beer.

Not my thing but pleasant enough
slightly hazy golden body with instantly disappearing white head
subdued aroma of cloves and slight banana flavour with wheat backdrop

Appearance: Cloudy, orange color with a huge fluffy head that lingers quite a while with chunky lacing.

Aroma: Slightly toasted malt, a little bready, a little grainy, yeasty, some spice and some cooked veggies.

Taste: Grainy up front, faint hints of spice, lots of cooked veggies, a little tart and some mild lemon bitterness on the finish.

The Rest: Didn't notice the best-by date of 1/10/14 on this one when I bought it, so it's a bit past it's prime. That being said, not a great Hefe. If you have given this to me in a glass and told me it was a euro lager, I wouldn't have questioned it..
