The other reviews are correct in saying this is not beer-like. It’s not. It barely tastes of it. It’s more like grapefruit juice or an alcopop. But honestly as that it’s delicious and not a dangerous drink (downing a 7% like juice when you’re thirsty can be hazardous). Very much a fan :)

I’m going to review this as it is labeled, a beer.
Look is like orange soda poured into a pint glass.
Smell is overwhelmingly citrus
Taste is overly sweet and zero taste of beer.
Feel is refreshing, but feels like soda.
Overall this is not a beer in my opinion. It’s more soda than beer, in fact I wouldn’t say you could taste the “beer” part at all.

Pours cloudy orange with a minimal head.
Smells like fruit juice with a hint of alcohol and tastes the same. Just like a fruit juice, with a hint of alcohol on the back end. Light tangy mouthfeel and smooth clean finish. With the low abv, this beer can be drunk all day long.

Served on tap in a 22.5 oz (660 ml) Weizen glass at Loreley Restaurant & Biergarten in the Nolita area of Manhattan, NY. Have been having them occasionally at weekend brunch in lieu of Mimosas.
A: Pours a cloudy, rose-orange color with only a brief lived head, orange chiffon head and no significant lacing.
S: Tart side of tangy with aromas of pink grapefruit, navel orange, banana, and red berries. Needless to say, really fruity.
T: Sweet and lightly tart. The palate follows the nose with a gestalt feel of Mimosa versus fruit juice blend. No appreciable bitter quality.
M: Light to medium bodied with no more than moderate carbonation.
O: Had it with brunch at at Bier Garten and it was perfect for that. Drinks like a fruit smoothie: absolutely delicious. Ausgezeichnet!

Note: If you cannot get it on tap, this is one beer for which the cans are far superior to the bottles, so I strongly suggest getting the cans.

Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Weizen-Mix brewed by Binding-Brauerei AG, with an ABV of 3.20% This German Hefeweizen pours out a pinkish amber color with a small white head. The head to this brew goes away fast, not saying that is a bad thing. There is some nice spotty lacing to this brew, it does stick to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with sweetness, mixed with grapefruit, grains and malts. So far a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with sweetness an grapefruit. But it is a nice smooth easy drinking brew. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. The body of Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Weizen-Mix is a solid medium. I can't get over how smooth this brew goes down. The mouthfeel is Sweet, Grapefruit, Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I am going to give Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Weizen-Mix a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Binding-Brauerei AG, did a real nice job with this brew.
I would get this to change it up from other brews on the market.

Taste: crisp, grapefruit, juicy citrus, slight tart, peach skins. Bold citrus, ruby grapefruit peach nose. Peach color hue, mostly unfiltered, with white head and some lace. Medium body. Unique kinda Shandy like.

Comes in a cloudy pink-ish color with a small white head. Good retention, but no lacing.
Smells like vibrant, juicy, sour pink grapefruit.
Tastes like watered-down grapefruit juice, just a hint of wheat (and actual beer) in the middle, leading up to an unpleasant and uncalled-for sugary sweetness, and an odd chemical artificial grapefruit flavor that lingers. Finishes fairly crisp and dry, but off-settling.
The mouthfeel is nice for being only 2.5% abv. Medium-light, somewhat creamy and soft, thirst-quenching.
Overall, not good. A sweet and artificial-tasting soda-beer beverage.

500ml can, best before june 2019

Looks like a mix of pink grpefruit and orange juice. Little carnoation creates a fluffy head that dissipates quickly.

Smells like atificail grapefruit. Like a bad fizzy grapefruity drink.

Tastes follows the nose. Slight bitterness at the back.

Feels like a fizzy drink, not a beer.

This is not a beer.

12oz bottle poured into Duvel tulip. BEST BEFORE: P:14.06.2018, E:14.09.2018. Not sure why it has two different dates, but I assume the earlier date is the better date to before. Presumably the P is best by and E is don't bother with after this. In either case, that means this is about a couple weeks passed due.

Appearance - Big, loose offwhite orangey head with medium-low retention. Doesn't just flatten out but rather thins out from within. Very bizarre, never seen this before in a beer head. Head is probably faintly orange because of the reflected light bouncing through the opaque orange body. 4

Smell - Soft grapefruit. I mean, lives up to expectation. 4

Taste - Soft grapefruit. I could be drinking some kind barley alcoholic mixed drink. I mean, I guess I am. 3

Mouthfeel - Light to medium bodied overall. A bit sharp up front because of the grapefruit's acidity. But fairly mellow the rest of the way through. 3

Overall - Not bad, but compared to Leinenkugels' grapefruit shandy, this is not even worth the time if you're American. Get better, local, for cheaper. 3

It's a wonder this one hasn't gotten the NYFRB Alco-pop multi-day thread treatment. Maybe because it's never had the hype and has been too easy to get. Anyway, this pinkish bier concoction was enjoyed on a hot, hot day, which seems optimal. Lots of sweet grapefruit, carbonation, and no indication there's any booze to it. The bottle is drained just as soon as it's opened. Rating is based on pure enjoyment.

Poured from 16.9oz can into glass. Bottom of can is stamped '31.07.2017' and '31.10.2018'. I am guessing canning date for the first date and best by date for the second date.
Orange/gold colored body, similar to a brilliant apricot. Unfiltered, cloudy complexion. One finger fizzy head upon pouring quickly disappears. No lacing.
Wheat malt and grapefruit juice in both the aroma and the taste. Sweet taste with a little bit of tang from the wheat and from the citrus.
Thinner mouth feel, with a little bit of syrup. Drinks a little fizzy in the mouth. Quite refreshing.
Almost not a beer with the level of grapefruit influence involved. A low ABV% beverage with a lot of fruit going on. I drank this after getting home from an afternoon at the MN State Fair (and an extensive sampling of fair food offerings). This "beer" is good for settling the stomach and providing a refreshing night cap.

A lot like stiegl radler in that the taste and feel is so artificial, with the grapefruit sweetness and resin having a sticky and cloying sweetness. It also doesn't taste as good, with the grapefruit being countered by a strange orange popsicle taste. Way too carbonated as well.

Had this on 2018-07-25 in Columbia, PA from a 330ml canned on 2017-08-04

A - Pinkish-orange with a 1-finger orange-white head that drops quickly leaving little lace.

S - Sugared pink grapefruit flesh and light wheat bread

T - Too sweet; like drinking lemonade. Flavor is more orange than grapefruit. The malt tastes like sugared wheat bread. There's a bit of herbal spice. No bitterness.

M - Medium body and light-medium carbonation.

O - Might as well have had an orange soda and a much cheaper price. Definitely not for me.

I think I get it; but I can't bring myself to like it.
Maybe if this were a fruit beer (which it absolutely seems like to me), I could rate it better.
But a hefe- is a very delicate beer and I have to use my imagination to know that a hefe- yeast is in this Mix.
I don't get the fluffy head of a hefe-, nor the soft, fruity banana-like aromas. I can Taste wheat if I ignore the bubbles. But I am reminded more of Tang than beer. The artificial flavor sticks to my tongue. However, this is refreshing; and for that I give it some OA points.

11.2 Fl. OZ. bottle
Served in a weizen glass

This beer pours hazy. The color falls somewhere between orange and peach. It is topped with an inch of beige head that disappears quickly.

It has a sweet grapefruit aroma. It reminds me of Squirt.

It tastes like Squirt mixed gernerously with a beer. The base beer is almost indistinguishable against the sweet, grapefruit pop onslaught.

Moderately bodied with a lot of effervescence.

It is refreshing as hell after working outside for ten hours. It is quite chuggable.

11.2oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a hazy orange; fluffy white head that fades leaving okay retention and little to no lacing. The aromas are citrus forward. Lots of grapefruit and orange. Some wheat and malts. It smells sweet and tastes sweeter. The flavors are really sweet. Lots of orange and grapefruit. Some yeast flavors, but the citrus dominates. Lots of sugar. Alcohol obviously goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light with moderate to active carbonation. It's very fluffy and smooth.

I'm personally not too crazy about this one. It's literally feels like drinking orange pop or grapefruit pop. It doesn't feel like a beer at all. It doesn't taste bad though and would work with some pizza or something.

Poured into 14-oz Pilsner, two finger soda fizz head that dissipates quickly. Mild grapefruit and bread aroma. Mouthfeel watery like an Italian soda. Vibrant grapefruit flavor, with just a hint of beer. Zero hops detected. Clean aftertaste.

I would recommend this as a good “beginner beer,” except you can barely taste the malt flavor. Can says 50% Grapefruit juice, 50% Hefeweizen. However the flavor is more like 95% Grapefruit. It’s more like a refreshing juice drink with a pleasant hint of beer flavor.

Looks like grapefruit juice. Tastes like a grapefruit juice shandy (not that I've had one before...but this is exactly what I would expect one to taste like). It is a bit too sweet but has decent grapefruit flavor. Overall, not the most interesting beer in the world but not bad.

Bought at Liquor Shed.

Pours a hazy orange, an inch of foam initially, subsides to a ring around the glass, a wee bit of lacing.

Smells of grapefruit juice, wheat, somewhat perfumey.

Taste is grapefruit juice, more sweet than bitter, I get some oranges as well.

Very light body, low carbonation.

I couldn't pick up any Hefe character at all. I didn't expect much and that is what I got.

Pours a hazy ruby red color. Thin ruby tinged fizzy white head dissipates steadily leaving no residual head.

Aroma is mostly dominated by grapefruit juice notes. You do get some wheat and Hefe notes, with a tinge of banana, but overall it largely takes a backseat to the grapefruit.

Taste is more balanced than the aroma would imply, but still skews towards the grapefruit. Up front you get a nice lively grapefruit flavor - followed with a wheat flavor in the back end with some light clove and banana notes. Overall its certainly sweet, but not in therapy you might expect - its just sweet in the way that there is fruit so it tends to capture that sweetness. As the beer warms you get more of the clove and banana notes from the Hefe.

Feel is light spritzy and vibrant carbonated. Very refreshing.

Overall you have to understand that this is not really a hefeweizen - its a radler that uses a Hefe as the beer base. As radlers go this is well done and avoids becoming too sweet.

Had this beer at Epcot while strolling through “Germany”. I called it a murky orange brew with just about no head from tap. Very sweet grapefruit nose with a grapefruit soda flavor to it. Very well carbonated. Like a sweet soda but with a bit of alcohol. Not really very beerish.

Tastes mostly like a carbonated grapefruit juice. You can detect the Hefeweizen flavor, but it's not a secondary flavor, it's more like a subtle foundation. Very low ABV (2.5) so it's more like of a juice than anything.

330ml bottle poured into a pint glass.

Cloudy orange in color with very thick creamy white head with some light pinkish shade, the head stays with pretty good retention before sinking to a lasting crown and leaving just slight lacing.

Can’t pick up much in the aroma and taste except big juiciness of grapefruit that is presented in kind of not too artificial way. There is a hint of wheat malt pronouncing its smoothness and sweetness. The typical yeast character of Weizen is absent here being dominated by grapefruit juice.

Light body with lively effervescence and quite smooth mouthfeel, the feeling is crisp and very refreshing. Good summer drink.

Awesome grapefruit flavor and smell. Not a lot of alcohol so that explains the fruity flavor with not much bite. Had some with pizza on a nice day. Was very happy and will buy again for $9.99 a six pack.
