As you might’ve guessed we’re from Germany, but what might surprise you is that we’re the world’s first Hefeweizen (wheat beer) grapefruit beer. Best served cold, it’s the perfect casual brew to cool you off during the summer, but it can be enjoyed all year round any time of the day. It’s a true 50/50 blend of total refreshment made from 50% Schofferhofer Hefeweizen blended with 50% carbonated juice of 100% natural ingredients.

I'm really confused how I didn't have this beer already reviewed, as I've had a few six packs of this back in the day, but perhaps that was even before my time here on BA. Nevertheless, I've just had another recently so I suppose I'll add my notes now.

Appearance is always surprisingly turbid dull orange with a moderately short but dense khaki head that retains as a fine blanket.

Taste is essentially grapefruit Kool-Aid, though with a slight touch of naturally peppery grapefruit quality therein.

Feel is lightly prickly but pretty fluid.

It comes across a little soulless at times, but in others, quenching and tasteful, all within the same session--no differently than I remember it. It's a tough rate.

Very much forward on the grapefruit with little classic hefe characteristics. Has the carbonation of a soda more than a hefe. Still it smells real nice and is extremely easy to drink. It's actually quite likeable on a hot summer day.

Loved the watermelon mint, lets give the grapefruit a whirl. On sale today BOGO, so, 8 for $8 only a buck $1 a bomber, a steal at today's beer prices, up 50% from a year ago. Yeah. Popping the top I get a whiff of juicy ruby red grapefruit . Pours to a Dreamsicle Orange with a orange white head. Taste is a sweeter juicy ruby red grapefruit with a bit of classic grapefruit tart then the wheat malt kicks in and smooths it all over to a clean finish. Very crisp, very refreshing. Great mouthfeel, light on carbonation. This is a great thirst quencher, an ultimate lawnmower beer. Very nice.

Poured from a pint can into a Guinness pint glass.

L: Pinkish-orange with a very slight light-pink head that dissipates almost immediately. Very cloudy, maybe 10% translucence.
S: Moderate grapefruit nose with a very slight tangy, yeasty note at the end. Pleasant, but very subtle.
T: The grapefruit flavor is far more prevalent than the hefeqeizen, which only serves to slightly shape the overall profile. Not bad at all, but I would've much preferred a stronger hefeweizen presence. Slightly too sweet for me.
F: Fairly carbonated, light to medium body. Very refreshing; that was the point, wasn't it?
O: This beer would have been rated higher if it had been maybe a 75/25 hefe/grapefruit blend rather than the 50/50. Still, for a drink whose sole purpose is refreshment, this one is worth a try.

Cloudy pinkish orange color with almost no head or lacing.
The aroma is grapefruit and light malt.
The taste is sweet-tart grapefruit with a hefeweizen background.
The body is light/medium, good carbonation, smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a tasty light brew, very refreshing, best cold.

Pours an orange/pink color. Opaque. No head. Very interesting and rather different looking.

Aroma of grapefruit, honey, sugar and sweetness.

Taste is of grapefruit soda. Seriously, that is what it tastes like! Some light bubblegum and overall sweetness.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and decently cleansing.

Overall, it is refreshing, interesting and quite different.

Poured from a can. Orangish in color, hazy with a white fluffy head. Smells of citrus, grapefruit and malt. Flavors of citrus and grapefruit, also the beer is extremely smooth and has a light mouth feel. Super tasty and refreshing. Excellent

Look - orange with a pink hue, small head that quickly dissipated
Smell - grapefruit, banana, bready
Taste - grapefruit, wheat, orange, banana, sugary
Feel - light body, well carbonated, refreshingly light and crisp, fizzy fruity finish
Overall - I was looking forward to trying this as it's low in ABV 2.5%. Seems like drinking a grapefruit soda. Beer qualities settle in as it warms but sugary flavor lingers. It's worth trying if you're looking for a low ABV alternative & something different. I suggest you crank up Steve Winwood - Roll With It as you sip into this casual brew.

It's not a beer for everyone. This has a strong grapefruit flavor. I find it's the perfect blend of tastes. It is going to be an individual choice. This isn't like drinking a Budweiser instead of a Miller.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a murky/opaque orange with a bit of white head. The nose is grapefruit, lemon, wheat, grass. The taste is smooth and juicy. Oranges, sweet grapefruit, grass, wheat, and a nice candy taste. Smooth and light mouthfeel. Nice beer overall.

Schöfferhofer Grapefruit has a thick, white, fizzing-away head and a translucent, carrot-orange appearance, with no lacing. The aroma is of white wheat bread and vegetable juice. The flavor is of lightly-sweet grapefruit, white wheat, and no bitterness or tartness. Schöfferhofer Grapefruit has a medium body and a relatively-dry finish.
