Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Weizen-Mi bough a can

Look: Fruit juice, orange and yellow color with 1 finger of white head.

Smell: Grapefruit, wheat, yeast.

Taste: Sweet grapefruit not the sour one, the added orange juice and lemon cuts it. the wheat is there.

Feel: Watery, sweet, medium body and a medium carbonation.

So overall would I recommend it ? It's ok but not the best as a radler.

Looks like a cloudy ruby red grapefruit juice, with a thin quickly fading white head. The aroma is all grapefruit, with little else to pick up. Flavor wise, it comes across as a slightly sweetened grapefruit juice, with a little touch of wheat note in the finish. Very effervescent, with a thin body. Should you expect a world class beer going in? No. But what you will get is a great low alcohol summer drink, and a great drink for after a long run/ride in the summer.

The color is straight grape fruit juice. With such a low ABV this beer can sneak up on you if you like this blend. With a 50/50 blend of grape fruit juice and hefeweizen, this is a hit or a miss for most customers I saw who tried this blend. Some hated it and others came in to get a growler every couple of weeks around the holidays. There is a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Light body, effervescent carbonation, but for me the grapefruit juice overpowers the hefeweizen.

Bottle poured into a wheat beer glass.

Look: A hazy light orange color with a finger of white head.

Smell: Aroma of wheat, yeast, grapefruit and orange.

Taste: Strong flavors of grapefruit and orange with wheat and yeast sitting in the back.

Feel: Medium body with a crisp medium to high carbonation, a little watery much like a soda.

Overall: A nice refreshing drink for the warmer months with little beer flavor though. Wouldn't be my go to but would have again if offered. Perhaps something for people who don't truly like the "beer flavors". It really resembles more of a soda than a beer. Not what I was hoping for, but different.

15.2 oz can poured into a raised glass.

Opaque iced tea brown meets an orange hue. Head starts out tall at 3 fingers but then recedes to a thin foamy line.

Tart grapefruit on the nose, mostly like grapefruit Halls. Light wheat aroma behind that, but mostly grapefruit concentrate.

Refreshing is the word here, with tons of light grapefruit juice and grapefruit soda flavors, and a creamy finish of wheat and clove. It is not complex or interesting in the slightest, but offers a little more than most light beers do in terms of flavor and feel.

Feel is creamy, and very nicely carbonated. Not really a finish.

Overall, this beer is very easy to drink and something I'll return to. Definitely not complex but easy to drink.

L: It looks like a hazy, slightly orange glass of Texas Ruby Red grapefruit blanketed by 2" of frothy white foam.

S: Hefeweizen aromas are buried behind the grapefruit.

T: grapefruit with traces of wheat and hefeweizen flavors in the background.

F: beer texture, medium bodied and medium high carbonation.

O: refreshing, somewhat beer like

11.2oz bottle
A - thin off-white head dissipates quickly atop a grapefruit juice colored bier
S - fresh grapefruit juice, yeast, wheat malt
T - grapefruit juice, wheat, hefe yeast, faint clove and banana
M - creamy light body, effervescent carbonation, very modest bitterness
O - unfortunately the grapefruit juice overpowers most of the hefeweizen flavors with this one. I had this one other time and was unimpressed. Ditto again here.

Picked up a single bottle for shits and giggles.

The pour is straight up Orange soda. The head even dissipates quickly, leaving some sparkling carbonation. I'm sure Kel Mitchell would love this.

The aroma is....grapefruit cider? It's just a sparkling grapefruit drink. Oddly enough it's not that bad.

The flavor is literally orange soda with some grapefruit squeezed in. No bready notes, no bananas or cloves. Just orange drank with a grapefruit spritzer. No. Just no.

The feel is watery with a lot of carbonation. Are we sure this isn't a soda and not a beer?

Overall, I guess I got what I expected. It's grapefruit flavored orange soda. I don't get it.

If you like flavoured beer this is for you. Nice overall looking and tasting beer (because I do like grapefruit) but I think I'd stick to non-flavoured in the future.

Look- Hazy dark orange. Loads of carbonation, large bubbles, nearly 3 finger white head in a standard Hefeweizen glass. Head dissipates quickly.

Smell- Grapefruit smell, not too complex. Smells like orange soda.

Taste- Sweet and fizzy in the front of the tongue, like a combination of club soda and orange soda, bland and almost no after taste. However, it is very refreshing.

Feel- Light and crisp mouth feel. Loads of carbonation on the tongue.

Overall- Not too much smell or flavor but it is refreshing on a hot summer day. Since it contains a low ABV you could drink one after another no problem.

This beer pours a nice orange color. The head was white, frothy, 2 finger, and dissipated quickly.
The nose is nice with citrus. Grapefruit, of course.
The taste is fairly light, not surprising given the abv. Nice grapefruit flavor. Not overwhelming. I don't get any hefe flavor.
Very light feeling, not surprising given the abv.
Overall, not a bad session beer on a hot, sunny, summer day.

Yeah, I saw this in the store today and was curious. I didn't even check the abv. Rookie blunder. This looks like orange cream soda and smells like ruby red grapefruit. The taste is fruity and sweet and loaded with carbonation. Not my deal at all, and not really a hefeweizen, in my opinion.
