So-so helles, readily available through out Rhineland -Pfalz. Very malty aroma and taste, taste also has some sharp, chalky hop bitterness, slightly metallic. Not refreshing , like it should be.

The beer is clear deep straw colored, has small bubbles and a white head that settles leaving some lacing.

The smell is sweet malty, some fruity nuances. Ripe apples.

Tastes upfront sweet, sugar with some corn flakes, an almost chemical bitterness.

Medium carbonation, small bubbles, rather thin body, refreshing but a slightly coarse dryness.

No I'm not convinced, there are much better beers from Binding.

Hmm. Poured with a fine, thick, foamy, off white head that lasts a while and lots of lace. Color is a clear yellow (& a shade darker than their pils). Aroma is fresh beer, malt , grain, bread dough, and hop. Flavor is a tad more sweet than the pils also. Also a hint of solvent at the very end. Body is a tad heavier too and with good carbonatiion. Finish is like flavor and generally a session beer.

half liter bottle poured into a stange. pours a crystal clear golden color with three fingers of loose white head. no lacings.

aroma is floral, with malt notes of caramel and munich. pleasant.

taste is of smooth caramel and munich malts, with a floral base and a touch of fruit, mainly apple. finishes dry with a residual malt character.

mouthfeel is medium bodied with a smooth texture and a very mild co2 bite. finishes smooth and dry with a bitter aftertaste.

drinkability is good. the proportioning works well, and a solid profile make this one a good export.

I had this on tap at Resi's Bierstube on Chicago's north side. The beer was served in a 1/2 L mug, clear gold color, about 1/2 inch head that lasted forever. The aroma is clean malt, smells like a Munich Helles more than a Dortmunder to me. The taste is harder to define, actually it had hints of Koeningshaven Tripel to me, slightly funky in a Belgian pale fashion while retaining a German malt-heavy base. Very tasty but not easily categorized. The body is light and when coupled with the taste, this is very easy to pound.

I can't say enough about this beer. Very mellow, tasty and not carbonated. A good tasting brew for sure. And would buy it again. I would have preferred a bottle but I received this beer as a gift. If one ever has a chance try one. You'll appreciate its taste for sure.
