Developed in a secret testing facility deep in S.E. Portland, Ginormous is powered by seven mighty hops. His mission is simple; to deliver a massive hop punch to those in need.
Beer Style: Imperial IPA ABV: 8.8% 100+ IBU
Label Artist: Rob Reger
Notes: A myriad of juicy citrus hop aromas and flavors envelope your mouth. Definitely not a bitter IIPA, just enough to balance the sweetness of the alcohol.
Availability: All the damn time in Oregon, Washington, California, British Columbia, Alberta, Chicago, Colorado, Hatos Bar in Tokyo.

At just under 8% I don’t know if this fits the imperial moniker, technically speaking.
Foam for days, thick and heavy. Caramel tan body, but clear. Low aroma, lots of c-hop notes on the sip. Nice malt chew on the backbone. Reviewing it in 2022 takes me back a decade at least, where this had some good company.

Pours a classic golden amber with a hearty off white head that holds well, becoming a rocky cloud atop the beer.\
Smell is pine resin and pineapple. Going for the mix of old school and new school I assume but the result is a bit discordant and not entirely appealing.
Taste is a slightly muted version of the smell. More pleasant as a taste. Bitter, tart and lightly fruity. I can kinda see what they were going for, and they do get a remarkably crisp flavor out of this big beer, but the taste is a little astringent.
Mouthfeel is pretty excellent. Big beer at 8.8% but the mouthfeel is smooth and crisp and pretty light on the palate. Drinks like a pale ale.
Overall this beer isn't one I'd revisit. The hop bill (cascade and galaxy) sounded much better than it turned out here. I think I see what they were going for but it doesn't really come together for me.

Serving: 500 mL bottle (MK5) poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Appearance: Clear orange gold with a lush head of white, sudsy bubbles, leaving thick rings of lace and a frothy cap.
Smell: Caramel malt, herbal pine resin, and citrus zest (lemon, orange).
Taste: Subdued caramel malt with orange gummy bears, grapefruit zest, pine needles and clean bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with relatively soft carbonation.
Overall: A very drinkable, balanced DIPA.

eyes...
slightly cloudy burnt orange hue, big bubbles in white head which doesn't even stick around for a cup of coffee, lacing is decent, mild streams of carbonation rush up the glass to keep some foam lingering
nose...
mild herbal and citrus hops, not too much else
taste etc....
a bit under carbonated, mild tropical hops, mild bitterness, some good lingering notes, mouth feel is medium but light enough to not weigh this down, drinkable
verdict?
ginormous my tuchus... nothing big about this beer, it is not a bad beer but it is a borderline DIPA in this stage of the game, some nice bitterness and pretty easy drinking but nothing that throttles this reviewer.
