Pours an opaque, apricot color with a moderate head of white, soapy suds. Complex, fruity aroma smells of passion fruit, nutmeg, bubblegum, white pepper, and dare I say horseblanket. Speckled lacing adorns the glass as the beer recedes.
The taste features a peppery bite up front along with tangy yeast, nutmeg and gentle lactose. Crackery malt lives beneath the more aggressive flavors. The chalky, spicy yeast in particular really rules the roost here. Passion fruit develops some with warming, but it isn’t especially pronounced. Medium body and high carbonation afford a smooth yet lively mouthfeel that’s par for the course for a Belgian blonde.
Overall, this is a unique beer, but it may have a bit too much going on, and it doesn’t entirely jell. The spiciness is a little aggressive for my tastes, though I will say I was pleasantly surprised by the way the lactose complemented the more conventional Belgian flavors. A bit of an avant-garde offering that may appear to the adventurous Belgofile.

A: Cloudy golden-orange, plenty of loose bubbles all around my glass. Dense, soapy head is out of control- huge and lasting! Blankets of sticky lace, even forming protruding ridges. Bottle art is colorful and inviting; I guess I have a thing for anime redheads. Yucky sediment at the bottom.
S: Hop-derived citrus, also tropical fruits (peach, mango).
T: Both families of fruits are still there, but now a toasty bread note has entered the picture, as well as my arch-nemesis soapy flavor, although that is mild. Yeast perceived on the finish. sweeter near the beginning but finishes pretty dry. Not as refreshing as the nose would suggest, but good.
F: Full body, appropriate carbonation. Too bad the foam island keeps away from my orifice, it looks so soft.
O: If only that nose was applied to the flavor, this would be an awesome brew. As it was, it was really good, but not quite as sessionable as I'd like; I'd like to have as many redheads as possible in a night.

22oz into a flute.
A: Pours a pale orange/gold with a nice white head.
S: Very citrusy, with notes of spritzy orange juice, lemon, persimmon, candi sugar, some sweet breadiness.
T: Taste brings pale malt, mild clove, a bit peachy, slight floral hop bitterness. A bit dry.
M: Light-bodied with almost frothy carbonation.
O: This is a clean, drinkable, slightly hoppy BPA. I was in the mood for something like this and it delivered. Very refreshing.

A - Hazy light orange with a white head and a patchy ring of lace around the glass.
S - Light citrus hops, bubblegum, doughy pilsner, Belgian yeast, light earthy notes and a touch of spice.
T - Tart in the beginning followed by citrus hops and juicy bubblegum, spice, belgian yeast, earthy finish.
M - Medium body with high carbonation making seem a touch heavier than it is.
D - Solid BPA.
