From old, undated notes. Poured from the bottle.

Murky dark orange hue.

Bright white head; nice lacing.

Mango, grapefruit & malt nose. Bold.

Medium thick mouthfeel.

Super fruity flavor; not too bitter. A winner.

Handsome dark amber with a tall plume of foam in the Belle-Vue Gueuze glass. Lively on the tongue and mouthfilling with malt. Aromas of pine and papaya. Distinctly mango in flavor. Moderate bitterness. A little bit candied but not overly sweet.

Orange and pineapple in the aftertaste. Overall a delightfully fruity strong brew with more hop aromatics than astringency. Label says this is "#10 in the endless series of limited edition artist and artisan beers." From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Payless Foods in Freeland, WA.

22 oz. Bomber

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy dark golden orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple), piney. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple), nice little pine note. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Poured from a bottle into a tall snifter. Dark cloudy yellow. Thin head but very nice lacing. Smell is sweet and fruity, perhaps a bit of strawberry. The taste is fresh, bright and a bit lemony. Not a heavy double IPA which is fine by me.

22oz bottle - shouldn't the musical accompaniment to this one have been Nine Inch Nails?

This beer pours a hazy, medium apricot amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some layered alien alphabet lace around the glass as it lazily sinks out of sight.

It smells of gritty and grainy caramel malt, pungent domestic citrus rind, some muddled tropical fruitiness, and more leafy, piney, and gently perfumed floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, a lesser biscuity toffee sweetness, still blended citrus and exotic fruity notes, a touch of hard water flintiness, some mild estery booze, and more testy leafy, weedy, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite understated in its wan-seeming frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and mostly smooth, nothing really sticking its hands out of the car windows, as such. It finishes off-dry, the big malt, fruit bowl, and alcohol warming contending with only a feeble lingering bitterness.

Overall - another day, another big West Coast IPA (better than another new sour, I suppose), one that I presume is going for the whole NEIPA thing. If so, they've nailed it here, as this is much more fruity than bitter. Good stuff.

Opaque medium-amber color, two fingers of off-white foam atop that left some lace arms trailing behind... Up front suggested something tropical, like papaya, but as the bitter shellac coated the tongue, had more of a tannic and wood-like aspect... Medium-weight, modest carbonation, and with the sweetness taking a backseat to the tongue-gripping bitterness...
