Poured on tap at Bluejacket into a nonic pint glass.

Pale grapefruit orange body color. Hazy a bit and opaque but not turbid. Fleeting white head, with minimal collar and lacing.

Nice solid and impressive aroma. Juiced tropical orange and hints even a little spicy herb on the hop angle. Rich and even a touch of bitter grapefruit.

Palate takes some interesting roads. Juiced hop of citrus even floral and green bursting but with a slight wet body. Nice astringency that seems more herbal surprisingly.

Has a ne look but sort of made for the masses with an interesting west coast flavor.

Fresh draft at the Bluejacket brewhouse. This is a foggy, cloudy beer that looks like someone dumped a lemonade in your draft. It smells of orange and tangerine, and goes down very well. I'm not a beer expert, but this is a very fine-tasting citrusy IPA. It's my go-to whenever I'm there, and I always take home a couple of 4-packs of it.

Draft from the brewpub.
L: Pours a hazy golden color, lighter in a way that looks like a NE IPA.
S: Citrus notes, maybe a little pineapple.
T: less bitter citrus up front, grapefruit at the finish. Not overly bitter.
F: Nice body that goes well with the taste.
O: Enjoyable IPA

Poured a copper body with good head and has a lovely aroma of orange and tangerine. Smooth, tasty, slight juicy (tangerine/grapefruit) sweetness with a balance of mild, acidic hops in it and overall an easy beer to drink.

Juicy. Deep golden orange color. When the waiter brought the pint I was already in heaven. Small head. Carbonated look.Smelled of tangerine, citrus, orange, and quite hoppy. Juicy on the palate. Earth tones on the aftertaste which I didn't love at first but started to like toward the end. They also offer a "Cask" version which was warm and less carbonated. They sell bomber bottles in small quantities.

Draft pour at the brewery. Golden Color with a nice white head. Very floral with a large amount of citrus in the nose. Wonderful amount of citrus(Citra hop) and a very good balance of bitterness. Delicious brew that was light on the tongue and very smooth. Loved.

Pours a beautiful deep and slightly clouded amber with about an inch of thick white head. The head has good retention and leaves small soapy lacing. The aroma is big hops, tropical fruit and resin. The taste is both plus a nice caramel malt quality that isn't strong, but holds up the big hops and balances it out. The body isn't heavy but the lighter weight is nice with a plesant fullness to it and just a hint of carbonation.

A bit off ipa. On tap at the brewpub. Unfiltered look- nice but sour pear taste that comes off as too ripe. OK for the old hophead try. Tweaking please.

From the source.

A- Draft to a snifter with a medium golden mostly clear body. A frothy semi-thick white crown rises to a finger with fair retention dropping to a medium ring. Whispy shards of lacing stick around the glass.

S- Citra hops atop a light bed of pale grains and slight yeast bread. More on the citrus side of Citra with obvious tangerine and orange leading to slight tropical and stone fruit tones; somewhat dank and grassy.

T- Billed as 7.9% and drinks fairly softly without much alcohol or sweet caramelized sugars coming out. The bold use of Citra works just enough to curtail and balance out those leaving a hop forward profile of orange, tangerine, peach, dank herbs, mint, lime peel and mango. Just a hint of pale cereal grain and esters.

MF- A body right down the middle of the thickness spectrum with a semi-chewy consistency. High end crisp carbonation and a zesty bitter finish. A hint of warming from that 7.9% after some time.

Brings plenty of citrus and juicy grassy hop tones without being a viscous nectar. Finds a balance that I certainly appreciate while still delivering me some bright hoppy goodness.

Had this, cask ale style, from the source. Color like a blonde ale but slightly darker, small head but nice lacing. Big citra aroma, tropical and hoppy. Again with the taste, big juicy citrus up front followed by a swarm of bitter hops that coats your tongue. Very nice citra IPA, my first BlueJacket brew.

Great golden color that opens up to an enticing hop aroma. Notes of citrus, floral pine and herbs. This is a much more balanced and reserved IPA. While somewhat hope forward, many hop-heads could find this beer underwhelming.

One of the better balanced full flavor IPA's without a damning bitterness. Dry hopping additions create a delicate and addicting nose, yet I feel the follow through on the flavor could have been a little bit more alive. Drinks very, very easy for a 7%+ IPA. No alcohol flavor. A beautiful showcase of Citra hops balanced with quality malts.

Draft at the source.

Cloudy bright orange body with a thin, off-white cap. Lovely aroma. Juicy oranges and assorted citrus. A nice showcase of citra hops. Tropical fruits. Fresh hops with minimal malt character. Mild sweetness and tangy finish. Tasty.

This beer is pretty tasty, with a good hop profile that is dank and dry, but I feel a bit of sweetness would round this out great, just a ton of dry citrus at from which is great but it is lacking in its finish. Still one of their better beers.

Good, if not great, use of citra hops. The aroma on this beer is awesome, and while I think this is a really good representation of an all out citra beer, I think citra is just hard to use for bittering. This beer is really good, but I think they'd need to shift to a different bittering hop to move into the "great" category for me.

A very good simple citra IPA. Doesn't blow you away like Citra Ninja, but I like how it is very well balanced and mellower. Unique mouth-feel and the look, thick and fruity.

On tap at Bluejacket. 7% 75 IBUs

A: Dull orange, cloudy. Thin head.

S: Peach, pineapple from the Citra. A little earthy.

T: Tropical fruit explosion in my mouth. Some grassiness as well. For a hophead, this one hits the mark in a big way

M: Good carbonation. Alcohol is barely noticeable

O: I love juicy IPAs like this. Citra 4 ever.

Had it at Bluejacket. From notes.

A - Cloudy pour with an orange colour. One finger of white head left spotty lace and a film of retention.

S - Nice citrus, lemon, very nice hop profile. Lovely zippy fruits, some passionfruit, tropical notes.

T - Orange, booze, syrupy fruits, tropical fruit, mango.

M - Good carbonation, medium to full body, decent bittereness.

O/D - Liked this one. Good citra contribution. Easy drinking stuff. Nice IPA.

All citra and all delicious! Had this on tap Monday night during my first visit to the newly opened brewery. Finished the night with this and sure glad I did. Such an awesome citra IPA. Doesn't quite have the aroma of zombie dust, but the rest of the beer is pretty fantastic. I will be going back very soon to get more since they don't distribute outside of hue he brewery at this time. Wonderful light golden amber in color, decent head that dissipates over time. All citra on the nose (obviously) just doesn't have all that tropical punch you get from ZD. Wonderful mouthfeel that begs you to drink more. Finish is nice and clean with a lingering bright grapefruit aftertaste. I tried about 10 of their offerings and while this was my favorite, nothing I had was bad, and Mexican radio was excellent as well!
