A: Sidewalk Saison is served basically without head, but is a beautiful yellow orange color. Hazy in the center, you can almost see through it at points. 4.5

S: The aroma on this beer is wonderful. Almost like bubble gum. Wood, a ton of spices, orange, lemon, and coriander assault the senses. Absurdly sweet and makes it tough to wait any time to taste it. 4.5

T: The taste is really nice. Not quite as fruity as the aroma lets on. Slight hints of booze, lemon, coriander. It's on the fruitier aides as far as saisons go, but the spice provides a nice balance. Dry lingering finish. 4

MF: Light body with an average amount of carbonation. The lingering aftertaste gets a bit old, but overall it's very drinkable. Refreshing and right on the edge of seasonable. 4

Value: $2.50 for my 4oz pour, which is on the low end of prices at Churchkey. Considering this beer tasted so good, I'd say it was absolutely worth it. 4.5

O: Bluejacket knocked this Saison out of the water for their first signature beer. I really like where this brewery is heading. 4

On tap at Churchkey. Sample served in a snifter. Pours a clear yellow-golden color with a decent head and a bit of lacing. Nose is delicate and tame. Flavor is crisp. Light spice and a touch of grain. Slight floral character with mild herbs. Mild citrus. Light and dry. Very well made, but nothing out of the ordinary. I look forward to additional Bluejacket-only offerings in the future, as I liked this quite a bit more than the collaborations they’ve done.

Bluejacket's first production beer and it is a good one. Served in a snifter on draft at Chirchkey. Beer is yellow, darkish, clear with a thin white head, some lacing moderate to low carbonation and low retention.

Aroma is floral and sweet with a big yeast aroma. Aroma is pretty strong.

Beer is medium in body and dry on the finish. It is still sweet like a lot of America saisons but it has a strong floral and biscuit bready flavors. It is a decent beer and I'd probably have it again. Hopefully this is an indicator of how the beers from this brewery will be. We will find out in 2013 I suppose.
