Bluejacket has continuously improved its beer offerings since I first went there. It's a cool spot in a beautiful former Navy building in the Navy Yard. Food kind of goes in the Churchkey elevated pub food sphere. They do a lot of cool collabs too.

This is a catch-up rating, as I've hit this place in DC on multiple occasions. Big wide-open space, high ceilings in this now bustling part of town. Game days must be nuts. Food offered, did not try. A wide variety of taps covering the gamut of styles, all pretty darn good. A must stop in DC, and near the Metro and ballpark.

Visited here on 11-1-22 for a late lunch and a pint with Da Boss.
Seemed like this would be a happening place other than the middle of a workday afternoon. Spacious with a sizable main dining area inside with some tables outside.
Quality of the beer was pretty good. I had the Lazy Jane which was okay, and Da Boss had a nice crisp pilsner.
Service was very good and attentive. Staff seemed eager to be friendly and help.
Selection was pretty good.
Food was good as Da Boss had the Fish n Chips which were good and i had the goat cheese burger with basalmic which was very good. Fries were okay, pretty average.
Overall it was nice to try but likely would not return if back in DC.

I'd been trying to get out to this spot for several years, but finally stopped in on my most recent trip to DC. The food was delicious brewpub styled fare. The star, though, was the wide selection of Bluejacket beers. I love NEIPAs, so I focused on those, but there were plenty of other options on the menu, and if I'd more time, this place would stand up to repeated visits to plumb its options. I will make a point of coming back.

Staff was friendly and willing to answer questions and give suggestions on food and beer
Place was upbeat, not too loud, clean and friendly
The beer at the least was interesting to Incredibly good. Nice selection of all different styles , some with interesting twists. Everything came off as really well made. Had two stouts that were exceptionally good. Food was very good as well

A cool place for a beer. A large selection. The bartender knew his product. The swag shop was not good. The selection wasn't good. The person in the area would rather talk on his phone than answer a question.

Atmosphere was industrial, but homey with a casual young vibe. Since they are a relatively new brewery, they have a large selection of beers that they are experimenting with, from fruity IPAs to thicker nitro stouts. Waitstaff was knowledgable about beers and helped pair the drink with the food. The food was comfort food with an intereting twist, such as gazpacho with a chili oil drizzled on top. Would come again and go on their brewery tour.

Visited after a Nats game, so the place was crowded. Service was still good, and the coffee stout I ordered was very good. My only complaint was the sticky floor.

Anyone familiar with the DC Beer Scene knows about Churchkey, a world-class beer bar that offers 50 drafts, over 500 bottles and an eclectic food menu. Bluejacket is the next step: a brewery devoted to their own beers. Located in the Navy Yard District, near to the Navy Museum, the Yards Park Waterfront and the Nationals Park, Bluejacket is situated in the former US Navy Arsenal Building. It is an attractive venue: a large multi-story room that is overlooked by shiny brewtanks; there is a long bar in the middle and a large array of tables for regular dining.
Bluejacket offers 21 draft beers, including three on cask. The styles run the gamet from Belgian to Farmhouse to Saisson and several versions of IPAs. Try them all if you like bu ordering three-ounce tasters. The beers rotate frequently, so you will need to check the website prior to your visit - or visits. Please note: this place is mobbed on game days. If you enjoy great beer (and baseball), then this place is a home run.

Not a bad spot at all but not my first choice next I get back to DC. Didn't eat so can't judge food but if the food is as good as the beer then you'll have a pretty good meal. Good selection of their own beers and a couple I had weren't bad but a couple others were spot on. As for service the bartender was nice and inquisitive but man are they a little slow but no one's perfect. Not to be overly critical becauseI wouldn't call this a tourist place the amount of Nats fans and families detracts from true beer bar vibe (it is across the Nats stadium in a tourist-type area).

We stopped at this brewery on a weekend when there was a Jazz festival nearby. The place was lively (with non-Jazz concert goers) and had a good selection of decent beers on tap.
